- I made a video a little while ago about albinism and abnormally developed avocado seedlings. Today - I have a very exciting update. Thank you to the people who got in touch with pictures of their avocado trees that had grown these white, malformed leaves, but had since grown healthy green leaves!

hi Scott, we repotted 2 of our 6 months old healthy Avocado plants into a new bigger pot with leca yesterday, the leaves started drooping downwards afterwards, now it has been 30 hours, all leaves are pointing downwards... any advise please much appreciated thanks! very worried
Sounds like transplant shock to me. In my experience, avocados really do not like their roots messed with at all. Anytime I have ever repotted a avocado tree and the soil was loosened around the roots a decent amount or maybe some of the roots were broken off or moved around, if any of those things happened my trees always got transplant shock. So the best thing to do when putting an avocado tree in a larger pot, in my opinion, is to keep the original soil and the root ball of the avocado tree as intact as possible. That way it puts as little stress as possible on the tree.
In your case it may just be a waiting game to see if it adapts to the new environment. It does adapt sometimes. Good luck!
I have an albino avocado tree too. So hopefully It can eventually grow a green leave too. I was about to give up on it so thank you for this insight
I tossed my weird albino seed. Darn it! Should have stuck with it!
Hi,scott, look my avocado plant,at my reel.tell me something ,what variety is that.thanks
Unfortunately, my white avocado seedling died.
is it true that your avocado has 1 in 10,000 will taste like the one you planted? Please Answer this
My 2 year old avocado was healthy just a week ago. Now it's leaves and its stem is turning dark black and it's dying just the same way as my other avocado and mango. It does have a pretty big pot and it is about 2 feet tall with a thick stem. Last time it was transplanted was around 8-9 months ago, so is it dying because it has ants on its dirt?
It also doesn't have 100% sun
