Demise was sealed in the master sword in SS. You can see in this trailer that malice is attacking the sword and Link’s arm. The sword ultimately becomes damaged and my theory is that Demise is released and helps to rehydrate Ganondorf to do his bidding.
That is an amazing catch there. I feel like the timeline convergence stuff is just going bonkers and that this is indeed a continuation of Skyward Sword and Twilight. But 1000s of years after in the bloodline. Can’t wait to see

Exactly, and what would be mind blowing is if Zelda would take on the form of Hylia which could be the lady we see using her golden power, a power only ones of the bloodline of the goddess have. She wears exactly the same as Zelda, only “all” the tears under her eyes, like she’s a complete form. So we might see ganondorf and demise, as well as Zelda and Hylia, which would be a perfect thing for an omega to skyward swords alpha and in a cosmic sense complete the legend, for it to be able to start over. Think that’s what the 2 dragons (ouroboros-like) logo means
If he was just kept in the Master Sword, then Demise wouldn't be in the Sealed Grounds to awaken and start the whole adventure, or to be destroyed by the Triforce. That's a paradox.
I believe the Sealing Spike was created afterwards by Impa and the Master Sword was put inside of it, and so I think Demise was indeed destroyed by the Triforce.
I don't think Demise will come out of the Master Sword. If he did, then Nintendo is overlooking a MASSIVE paradox problem in the Zelda series.
@@gregpl9363 I don't think Zelda will take on the form of Hylia. Every Zelda in every game is a descendant from SS Zelda, who IS Hylia. All these descendents are not Hylia herself.

@@RicktatorRick I wanna point out that the music that plays from 1:20 - 1:29 is the motif of midna's lament playing when zelda is falling down. Listen close for it I cant believe they are referencing that, There has to be some kinda meaning

Good thing they did. Something that possibly is book ending a timeline needs it’s own story.
This game IS an expansion that became so big that they made it into a new game. I don't remember which person at Nintendo said it (maybe Aonuma?), but that was confirmed not long after it was announced to be in development.
And it was for the better. It’s going to be amazing.

All Zelda fan's hearts beat as one. In that moment after Ganon's face reveal when THE music kicks in, I got goosebumps all over my body. When you said "im getting chills" I know there are many other's in the club. Nintendo knew exactly how to play to us, Ganon reveal directly into THE music that has imbedded into our souls over the decades. This trailer hits us right in our deep memory's, like an arrow into our very soul. NINTENDO HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!
They totally took inspiration from Princess Mononoke for this. Maybe a little bit "Castle in the Sky" too. Can't go wrong there. Some truly fantastic movies. And yeah seems real that they might have had DLC plans but the ideas kept flowing so they transitioned into making a sequel instead. Good call on their part!

Isn't Ganondorf a reincarnation of Demise without the memories and power of Demise? Also the master sword being broken could implicate that the power of Demise is now back with its owner. Ganon and Demise could very well be the same person this game.
Could also be as someone else mentioned, Demise is being resurrected and manipulating to reviving Ganondorf to do his bidding. But yea the master sword breaking is a bad omen for the realms to open up and possible time jumps?
I think this hints at the continuation theory, demise resurrects as ganondorf and ganondorf then resurrects into demise, repeating the timeline. Could Link's ultimate goal be to end the continuation and stop the resurrection of evil?
@@ehsbe1056 It's very possible that could be the case but that would essentially also be the end of the franchise. I do think you're very much onto something though since it seemed like the whole Calamity Ganon thing sort of seemed to be a side effect of the cycle being stalled with them attempting to essentially eliminate and/or seal Ganon consistently with the divine beasts and guardians.
Ganondorf/Ganon is the incarnation of Demise's hatred fated to follow those with the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero, according to the curse.

Also the fact that Demise's power was sealed into the master sword all those years ago in Skyward sword and is now broken, gives me good cause to say Demise is definitely going to be a big part of this game. Now it's the How he is going to be a part of it. I am really excited for it.
Ganondorf as shown here is the fully revived version of the mummy from the other trailers. It states it in the dialogue as well. If you go look at those he has a similar outfit on.
But the big question is, is this Ganondorf tied to Twilight/OoT Ganondorf? Or possibly an entirely different being and maybe be new embodiment of Demise?

@@Skrimshady the first time I heard it I would agree but this trailer sold me on him that Yell was epic.
On the timeline stuff, it is confirmed by Nintendo that Breath of the Wild takes place so far in the distant future from all the other games that the timeline split can almost be disregarded. That's why you see elements from all three in the game perhaps, who really knows. Here's the interesting bit. There is a theory floating around that Tears of the Kingdom obviously takes place after Breath of the Wild, but also before Skyward Sword. This epic battle on the surface after countless reincarnations of Calamity Gannon and now finally this was enough to awaken Zelda's powers, turning her into Hylia, sending the Kingdom skyward.
The symbol for Tears of the Kingdom is an uroboros which symbolizes infinity and the never-ending curse Demise cast. That curse could be this infinite time-loop the 3 of them are trapped in.
Ohhhhh now that shit would be insanely cool
I really hope we can fight side by side with the Champions, that's going to be amazing!
The addition of NPCs to fight along side would be an incredible feeling. Hell even if they somehow added it as a coop mode of some sorts.

Man the amount of Zelda UA-camrs who thought that Demise was actually Ganondorf in the trailer severely disappointed me. Look at the skin tone and the hair. You caught it though, along with a few other creators, some of which I never knew about. Kudos to you, you caught it.
To give clarification on who Ganondorf is exactly, he is an incarnation of Demise's pure hatred for the Golden Goddesses of Hyrule, made into fruition by the curse Demise utters with his last words.
Also if I'm not mistaken we haven't seen Gleeok since NES Zelda 1.

Fridge tanks everywhere. Yea I thought I recalled Demise being sealed and with the sword possibly being broken then def coming back. So we probably will be dead king with Ganondorf and Demise. Feel like they are ending the child timeline with this.
Also man if you know skyward sword, look at the “isle of songs” complete with bridge. And then look at that structure we see throughout the trailers, link is diving next to in the beginning of this one. Notice the circular platform and tell me it’s not the same as the isle. Which means we might start off by on the remains of skyloft

Found another one. Thought it was arbiters grounds rising but it’s a part of the desert we haven’t seen yet. Then I looked at the aesthetics.. I dunno if you know wind waker? But in sunken Hyrule you got ganons tower. That thing rising looks exactly like it. Speaking of a crazy timeline 😂
The Spring of Power is literally the spring at the end of the first dungeon in Skyward Sword, so it's entirely possible.

And boy am I glad they did! Gonna be hard to pick between this and FFXVI for GotY.
If Demise was kept in the Master Sword in the past in SS, then he would not have been in the Sealed Grounds to be destroyed by the Triforce in the present, and a paradox would present itself and that's a problem.
To fix this, I adopted the headcanon that the Sealing Spike was created afterwards by Impa on Hylia's instructions, with the Master Sword at its core, and then it was put back in the Sealed Grounds with the sealing circle and Hylia/Zelda doing her best to maintain the integrity of the entire setup, in order to keep Demise contained until the Triforce was used.
And therefore, I believe Demise to be completely gone, erased from existence by the Triforce courtesy of the wish Link made just before he chased Ghirahim back in time.
Only his curse lives on, in the form of Ganondorf and the thread of fate that binds him to the Royal Family and to Link.
Perhaps that could be Demise, if it's Ganon becoming the next Demise, or if Demise gets recreated somehow, but short of the Triforce being used to reverse SS Link's wish, it cannot be SS Demise coming back.

screw 4k! 4k looks no different than 1080, it's only marginally better! You'd have to have a 60" TV to really see any noticeable difference!
Ganondorf is actually the same person throughout OoT, WW, and TP, sort of. Ganondorf doesn't have descendants. Specifically, in the Young Link timeline when Zelda sends him back to his own time at the end of the game warns young Zelda about Ganondorf, the King listens to Zelda this time, and has Ganondorf immediately apprehended and "executed" at the Arbiter Grounds, which the gods botched by giving Ganondorf the Triforce of Power anyway, reviving him and forced the Sages to lock him in the Twili realm until the time TP happened.
In WW, when Link was sent back in time via Zelda, there were "No More Heroes" to fight Ganon, so when Ganon came back the gods flooded Hyrule to prevent Ganon from taking the Triforce. In the end, Link sealed Ganondorf under Hyrule Castle with the Mastersword which King Rolan (whatever his name is) made the wish with the Triforce to destroy Hyrule completely.
The problem now is...which timeline does the BotW series take place, and which Ganondorf is this one? Are the timelines interconnected now, and is this Ganondorf a culmination of the OoT/TP and WW ones, or is it a specific Ganondorf from a specific timeline? No matter what, it's definitely the same Ganondorf from OoT.
Oh shit I forgot about the Arbiter Ground bit. You point out some great details. This game is gonna have some sort of crazy convergence or tie in. Makes me want to go back and play all the major titles post OoT. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, hell even Windwaker may have big representation or evolutions as this seems 1000s of years after. Excited for it.
You forgot four swords adventures ganon/ganondorf, who IS a different ganon/ganondorf... Even though he's supposed to be in the four sword.

Are we sure?? Won’t he sword possibly being destroyed he could be released as he was sealed there so long ago. I feel like we are gonna get some twists in this one.
@@RicktatorRick Art book that leaked confirmed it. Also Demise wasn't in the Sword, only Fi is. Demise got rid of himself to create the eternal curse that is Ganon.
@@ItApproaches actually you are wrong.. Fi mentions that demise was sealed in the sword as well after demise fight. Ganondorf is just a spawn of his curse towards the kingdom of Hyrule. Ganondorf is basically a split of demise, but demise himself is in the sword. Also the art book doesn't 100% confirm everything
@@bradleydrake6941 False, Fi states "I can confirm the ERADICTATION of Demise." It is his consciousness that is put into the sword. His form is gone. His body dissolved away. Ganondorf is Demise's hatred taken form as an eternal reincarnating curse.

Ocarina of Time is also my all time favorite Zelda game.

pretty sure we are getting a time travel/multiverse plot, my theory is that we will see and fight both ganon and demise.
to add onto that, with having the 'recall' ability, and with the temples rising, we are getting time travel for sure. hopefully
Yea I think we are gonna have some sort of time variant, but probably not a multiverse situation. But this looks to be the book end of the child Link timeline or could possibly be multiple.
Nah, Zelda’s VA is actually my biggest issue with the BotW era games. Every other language sounds fine except English. She’s so monotone & breathes so heavily in the mic. Professional mouth breather.

BotW takes place in the Downfall timeline. Regardless of what nonsense some claim because they can't cope. It's impossible to be in the Child or Adult timeline without forgoing all logic and reason.

@@RicktatorRick The game itself tells you. We know it's not in the Child timeline because Ruto is remembered as a sage in BotW. Same goes for Nabooru. There are divine beast named after them and this is state explicitly. You'd have to abandon common sense to conclude it's in the Child Timeline. That never occurs in the Child timeline. Furthermore, the Temple of Time is still standing, which is not the case in the Child timeline. Lon Lon Ranch's ruins still exist so no flood occurred. The idea of forgetting the entire flooding of the kingdom, the establishment of New Hyrule, then coming back and starting from scratch, but remembering Ruto is absurd. That's like knowing who George Washington is but having no record of the United States. There are a lot of other little things. Zelda's naming convention is taken directly from Zelda 2. The Triforce being whole (if that is the case) only occurs in the DT. The Master Sword's location is taken from the DT. The Tunic of the Wild is from LoZ and Adventures of Link. Even the champion's abilities are modeled after AoL spells. Lynels only exist in the DT timeline because Ganon created then after obtaining the full triforce. He Sheikah are extinct in all other timelines beside the DT. Ganon is sealed in both the CT and AT. One would require a hero to dive to the bottom of a sea to retrieve the master sword out of Ganondorf's head. In the CT Ganondorf is sealed in the Four Sword. Only in the DT is Ganon/dorf an unresolved threat.
That would make sense _if_ Zelda didn't reference Twillight Princess in one of the memories. It would be impossible for them to know what happened in TP if BOTW was in the downfall timeline because Twillight Princess never would have happened in this timeline

She merely mentions the word "twilight" in passing in one memory and you arbitrarily assume that that somehow, in and of itself, is referring to TP. There is not a single explicit mention of anything from TP. However, Ruto becoming a sage is explicitly cited, literally in stone. That never occurred in the Child Timeline. Are you going to ignore this again?
@@akumathelion535 She says that in the first memory, and yeah maybe it wasn't a reference but I don't see any other reason for her to say that. And I'm not ignoring that the game also references Ruto and Nabooru, cause I believe that BOTW is a merge of all three timelines
4K is nothing...there's literally no reason to go past 1080p, other then to temporarily appease tech heads who will soon enough trash 4K when something isn't 8K then 16K then 32K so on. Graphics are NOT important.
Oh I know graphics aren’t important. I just wanted the video rendering to look better because it was so compressed. To me 4k just make colors look better and things a bit more crisp. Otherwise 1080p is fine haha. Nintendo games don’t need 4k.

Me: Yeah...not in a good way. I hope TotK can drastically fix that shit stain that was BOTW. Zelda's my favorite game series, I thought BOTW would finally top OoT, but nope, utter damn failure. BOTW is the worst Zelda game. I got pulled into the lies once, I shall be much more cautious this time with TotK....It's looking promising as it seems they added back most of the main fundamentals that were missing in BOTW...but we shall see.
BotW to me was incredible for what it presented to the series. Yes there weren’t any proper dungeons as the shrines were kinda lame. But just the ability to go out and explore and just fight or find things was crazy. Now if they can provide that open exploration with proper dungeon routes for challenges, then bring it on.
@@RicktatorRick To me, I prefer games that are linear. I don't want a dev to make a game where it's just do whatever you want, we don't care. As that's lazy and means they have no care or passion for telling a story. Exploring a big open sandbox and all you can do is increase three character traits, increase health, increase stamina so you can slightly run around the world you already have, and increase your inventory space so you can hold more breakable junk lol.
