70+years old in Tennessee on my first ukulele; a Lanakai burnt maple. I have watched and tried lesson One 5 times. The strings sound beautiful while strumming with my thumb. I am going nuts try to make a sound with the lower part of my index finger nail as you teach. All I do is make the sound "click-click-click-click." I am not giving up but have not clue what I am doing incorrectly. Thanks for the lessons.
