Great information, great video! The explanation is very easy to understand! Thank you for sharing about "How to get rid of Eye Floaters?"! This video is exactly what we need.
@TurboTronics11 I had a lot of floaters in my eyes, little and big ones since my childhood and they are all gone. I think it would work for you too. The video from Dr. Berg on the subject helped me better understand what caused it and take the right steps.
@@alex-re5te lt was gradual. First l cut only on added sugars like sweets and fruit juices and l noticed my vision getting clearer. Later l started keto and my vision kept getting better, but still had floaters. Then l adapted my keto and cut down on too much milk produtcs (more like candida diet), and in less than a month they were gone.
My solution to floaters is stop focusing on what is inside your eyes and focus more on what’s outside of them. If you sit there looking for them it will drive you nuts. Also, mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter. God bless 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️
@ I have tinnitus too. It’s interesting to say the least but what really bothers me is what I call a ‘petulant’ Eustachian tube. When it arbitrarily decides it wants to stay open it is quite annoying because I can’t hear well outside of my head but I sure can hear me inside loud and muffled 😂. I found that bending over helps but it doesn’t always last too long.
A couple of these will work. Laser therapy will work, but has "risks" and removal of the vitreous will work, which is then replaced with a gel. Don't forget, if one of these things does work - great, but if it doesn't, are you willing to lose your entire or partial sight, in one or both eyes ? Not worth it. I have about 150 - 200 floaters in my right eye, and "none" in my left eye. The rest of the cures in this video are just not true. Pie in the sky. I think even if you have floaters, you can still have great vision, and be thankful for that, and not blind, or close to blind. I've had floaters since about 15 years old, and I'm now 71 years old. You have to put up with them, and your brain learns to adjust to them. Life isn't perfect, but be happy you have eyesight, and good health otherwise.
Never ever replace your vitreous. Your eye will be dry and sensitive to light for the rest of your life. There are certain gels and oils in the vitreous, which won’t replenish and can’t be replaced. You will be on moisturizer eye drops for the rest of your life.
Sir i am really struggling with floters , whenever i go out and see sky i see thread like floters and i just cant ignore them i constantly focus on them and cant get them out of my head. It will be really helpful we u tell me how to cope with them
With respect, you may be basing your post on personal experience and surely the Doctor in this video is more qualified to offer advice than someone saying "You have to put up with floaters".
I was rid of all floaters by laser in my right eye and most in my left eye except for one kind of a spider webby one. I just ignore it most of the time because it just seems to bounce from left to center and back. It bugs me but I don’t go nuts over it either. I was told by an optometrist to find a Retinal Opthamologist. I did and he was great.😁
Thanks for the great advice. I have floater in both eyes. I considered laser treatment but many people in the forums said it made thing worse. I don’t notice them so much these days maybe I’ll try the supplements. The vitrectomy is reserved as a last resort!
I got experience … it will gone after I started exercise …must exercise regularly to allowed blood flow to the eye because some floaters happen because less blood to the eye
Floaters are not an issue of blood flow. When you exercise the motion in your eyes causes the gel to change its position as well as the position of the floaters. That's why you see them when you exercise.
I have a question I like your video can you have cardiac surgery cause I’m having that problem I’m seeing floaters after my cardiac surgery and a little blurry. Could it be the lens that is has to be exchange can I have an answer to that thank you.
It's not the lens. After cataract surgery floaters can become more noticeable. This happens because the floaters were less noticeable due to the effect of cataract blocking light into the eye. After surgery a lot more light comes into the eye and the floaters become more noticeable.
I didn't have floaters till a newly jabbed friend visited me early in the jabbing when everyone was terrified, after they left I realized I now have floaters, not in any way severe but annoying none the less. I was told to use Serrapeptase which I have been using since but I still have them, I keep using because I have surgery scars that have diminished considerably but I will try the suggested supplement. I've been extremely leery of any kind of surgery and/or medication since the jab. I just don't trust anything any more. I am 80 and female, also happily pure blood and Canadian.
I've had a huge blob like floater in my right eye and a long line floater in my left eye since early 20s. Getting lazer surgery later on this year. Hopefully it works as they been driving me nuts for 20 years
Thank you doctor. Please I was diagnosed of cataract and I was planning for the surgery when I woke up today 25/12/2024 and I noticed in my vision and start seeing some black spots in my left eyes . Please what can I do sir. Will it go when they do the cataract operation. And is it the cataract that I am yet to do that brought about the black spots that I am seeing through my vision . Please I await your response
The floaters is not related to the Cataract. If this is a recent development, you need to be checked as soon as possible to make sure that you do not have a retinal detachment.
Hi doctor. A detached retina surgery August 2021 on my left eye. I had a cateract Surgery two months later. My vision on that left eyes is not clear . I cant read with that left eye. In April 2024. I had a suden development of floater on my right eyes that had refuse to go. Is there any hope that vision on my left eye will become normal? Will floater go on my right eyes as time goes on?
If you have not checked the right eye after the floaters developed, you should do it immediately, as the risk of retinal detachment in the right eye is there. The quality of vision after retinal detachment is dependent on whether it was macula on or off detachment. Do you know?
I looked up the eye supplement for floaters a couple months ago. And instead of buying it, I already had those supplements (listed on their bottle as ingredients) around the house. So I added them into my supplement routine. I would say my floaters are about 50% more faint at this point. So there are no strong contrasting "lines" of floaters.
HI Dr. Cohen, In addition to floaters in my left eye, I have Asteroid Hyalosis. I have stopped sugar and refined carbs and have started a supplement similar to the one your recommended.

What is the laser machine called that does the Vitreolysis? most ophthalmologist don't do Vitreolysis, so what type of eye doctor specialist would this be called? I have even called corneal and retina ophthalmologist and they also don't do vitreolysis
I’ve had them for 30+ years. I’ve tried the supplements several times with no change at all. Trying the drops interests me though. I’ve seen this mentioned by a couple doctors.
How is this even possible? When I was in the restroom yesterday, I noticed around thirty tiny lights floating. It's in UA-cam's recommendations today, although I've never looked for this.
@doctorilancohen To be honest, I don't have any issues with health I believe that this is a result of blood donation. Before that day, I gave 1 blood unit.

I'm about to lose my mind because of clear floater in both of my eye that is increased every year . I can see even more waves of small floatees when squeezing my eye and look at sky.
have you tried blue tinted sun glasses? I use them when I drive as I have one annoying floater, which almost disappears when I put on my blue tinted sunglasses!
fasting can help, i've heard. Getting your body into autophagy state where it repairs and regenerates. Also, doing a fruit detox where your body flushes out toxins and such. It will make you feel like you have a flu, but once you are through it, you are significantly feeling better
I also heard the same, it didn't work for me, it may be because I still have other problems, and it was not for lack of trying, I've been intermittent fasting for a decade, I've done multiple 3-10 days water fasts over the years, but don't be discouraged, it seemed to work for a lot of people.
I've been on a very low carb diet with ~ 7-8 hour eating window most days and occasional 36-hour fasts for most of two years (exception: for about 4 months I had more carbs on weekends). The last two months I increased my fasting to two days a week for 24 or 36 hours at a time. I happen to notice that my floaters had disappeared. It was a pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure when they entirely disappeared, it probably happened gradually.
I had caterac surgery this year....great....but not the same..always have had floters but suddenly last weej flashing incorner of my left eye at night .went to the doctor...he called it PVD...no riss on detatchment of retina .but its a really large chunk of the gel floating around..its almost like having a cataract going in and out....im very upset
Embrace imperfection....I had a large string like floater in the center of my vision...then it seemed to explode into thousands of tiny translucent black dots...these dots are easier to accept and deal with...what I do not understand is how did that string like floater get destroyed and move out of the center of my vision?
My floaters included one that blurs my vision that tend to move like windshield wipers. Once they move my vision is great, but this only lasts a split second.
Have had floaters for many yrs. I had cataract surgery early June and then 3weeks later. Very quickly developed secondary cataracts. I also have developed a huge change in floaters. Yes, steroid drops are bad news, although I HAD to use them for uveitis inflammation. Steroids weaken blood vessels and collagen, so I can imagine they could damage the vitreous humor too. Some of the newer steroids like Durezol, are truly dangerous, and I wish I had not used them. Durezol IMMEDIATELY, within 3 weeks, caused cataracts and I had to have cataract surgery. Can't be the only damage they did, IMO.
Two years ago, I had a viral infection- not Covid - I had a high temperature, headache on the side of the heafpd, general feeling of tiredness and aching bones. A few days later, I woke up with floaters in my eyes, not big, translucent. They did not bother me too much. However, there was one ver small black dot which moved around just like the floaters. I have been taking D3, K2 and zinc for 3 months now and they have disappeared, at least for the time being.
My floaters are large and very blurry. They literally block my vision in one eye. I can move them by shaking my head but only a little and they float back.
I recommend not moving your eyes to get the floaters out of the optical path. That movement turns to a jerky shake, and theoretically, it can cause a retinal detachment, which you certainly don't want or need.
@@Nikonhermit theres nothing wrong with moving your eyes around to displace it. We naturallt move our eyes around on a normal day. As long as they arent causing strain it should be fine

Hello Dr. Ive had a corneal transplant on 1 eye. And collegen cross linking. I am diagnosed with Keracotoma. I'm not sure if i spelled that right. Lol But I also have floaters. Yhey began about 2 years ago. Age 51 when they began. Over time they have lightened a bit. They are so annoying because i alway think a bug is flying in my face. Smh. Would any of these treatments help me?
I would start with the vitamins. Since you had a Corneal transplant, you must see your doctor frequently. Make sure he does a dilated exam at lest once a year.
Hello! I am 36 years old and in the past month, my floaters increased . They hadnt increaded since I was 28 years old. I have been to 3 doctors already, they checked my eye and all told me my eye is perfect. My question is... When does this stop? Do I need to keep checking my eyes everytime i feel I see new ones? I used to see only one, and now under the sun I see many with both eyes, like scattered.
I have floaters on my right eye more than in my left. I also still have a strange kind of flashes where the flashers appear as a bright laser scribing a circular arc on my right to bottom of my right eye.
Time allows floaters to fade, your brain adjusts to them naturally... So to say these suggestions work would mean no tests for at least a year AFTER the floaters appear.
It's there all the time, how can I not notice it? This came after the cataract on my left eye was removed. My eye is and was never the same again. This clearly was sloppy work.
if the floaters are in the middle of your sight and annoys you, you can try turning your head left and right quickly 20 to 30 times to get them off centre.
Thank you for your informative video. I have had floaters since my late twenties and I am now in my 60s. I have just got used to them over the years, but last August, I developed new shaped floaters and flashing lights. Last week, I developed a very large floater (the size is about half of my eye). I decided to again just get on with it, but I still have regular flashes. I would add that I also have keratoconus, which has been quite stable for about 40 years. It is the size of the new floater which bothers me. It's in the same eye as the flashes.
Same here it has been two years I am experiencing floaters it like it would be approximate 10 to 15% at night it's ok but at the time in bother me a lot.

Great information, great video! The explanation is very easy to understand! Thank you for sharing about "How to get rid of Eye Floaters?"!
This video is exactly what we need.
Yes is great ❤
Quitting sugar worked 100% for me.
My age is just 16 years and I am having a single huge floater like a web in my left eye. Will leaving sugar work for me also?
@TurboTronics11 I had a lot of floaters in my eyes, little and big ones since my childhood and they are all gone. I think it would work for you too. The video from Dr. Berg on the subject helped me better understand what caused it and take the right steps.
Thank you. I was wondering if sugar is a cause
Would you still eat carbs like pasta and bread
@@alex-re5te lt was gradual. First l cut only on added sugars like sweets and fruit juices and l noticed my vision getting clearer. Later l started keto and my vision kept getting better, but still had floaters. Then l adapted my keto and cut down on too much milk produtcs (more like candida diet), and in less than a month they were gone.
Great video, full of information. You forgot to show or mention the exact currently supplement.
Yes, initially I was not used to it but later I have ignore those floaters, so it have not bother me.
Yes I use this strategy for both floaters and tinnitus but sometimes it's easier said than done
Great practical realistic advice thanks for the encouragement God bless in Jesus name
For that I got contactlinses now. BUT it only give you 2% peace. I have severe floater
Is there a USA brand that would be recommended?
Also, I experience soreness along with the floaters.
A couple of these will work. Laser therapy will work, but has "risks" and
removal of the vitreous will work, which is then replaced with a gel. Don't
forget, if one of these things does work - great, but if it doesn't, are you
willing to lose your entire or partial sight, in one or both eyes ? Not worth it.
I have about 150 - 200 floaters in my right eye, and "none" in my left eye.
The rest of the cures in this video are just not true. Pie in the sky.
I think even if you have floaters, you can still have great vision, and be
thankful for that, and not blind, or close to blind. I've had floaters since
about 15 years old, and I'm now 71 years old. You have to put up with them,
and your brain learns to adjust to them. Life isn't perfect, but be happy you
have eyesight, and good health otherwise.
It will be really helpful we u tell me how to cope with them
bro ur 71 tho i have my whole life ahead of me😢
With respect, you may be basing your post on personal experience and surely the Doctor in this video is more qualified to offer advice than someone saying "You have to put up with floaters".
Well that is the same for grant, what you talking about

In my case it’s because of high BP… I didn’t realise it .. once the BP normal after I exercise , the floaters reduce a lot and almost none
Yes it happen to me@@matnor9937

I have a question I like your video can you have cardiac surgery cause I’m having that problem I’m seeing floaters after my cardiac surgery and a little blurry. Could it be the lens that is has to be exchange can I have an answer to that thank you.
It's not the lens. After cataract surgery floaters can become more noticeable. This happens because the floaters were less noticeable due to the effect of cataract blocking light into the eye. After surgery a lot more light comes into the eye and the floaters become more noticeable.
@ thank you what can you recommend for floaters? I need to buy sunglasses or what solution I need to do or not to have too many lights on my eyes.
Thank for all the information ❤
You are so welcome!

Thank you sir. I appreciate your response
They’re like screensavers for my right eye

After a month on a carb free keto diet my floaters were significantly reduced.
“How does the keto diet work?”
That sounds encouraging, happy for you. What were.the specific vitamins?

Hi. I cant find the link to the supplement. Could you put it again please
If that is new, you should see a retina specialist ASAP. It could be a retinal detachment.
@doctorilancohen To be honest, I don't have any issues with health I believe that this is a result of blood donation. Before that day, I gave 1 blood unit.

Fruits and vegetables and lots of exercise.
fasting can help, i've heard.
The vitreous is inert and does not regenerate, but yes fasting is great for the rest of the body.

Floaters form in the same fashion that they break apart.
My floaters included one that blurs my vision that tend to move like windshield wipers. Once they move my vision is great, but this only lasts a split second.
If it effects your visual acuity, you'll need to discuss option with your doctor.
Have had floaters for many yrs. I had cataract surgery early June and then 3weeks later. Very quickly developed secondary cataracts. I also have developed a huge change in floaters. It is like a blob moving into the field of vision. It is like wearing glasses with a huge blob or smear on them. I am fighting to get clear areas to see. I am having many headaches, and my right eye is many days twitching by the end of the day.
It sounds like an extreme case of floaters. I would consider a laser procedure. and competent hands.
Twitching is probably stress related

Can cortcostreroid lotemax cause eye floaters. When I used twice lotemax , I have floaters , is this possible?
Yes, steroid drops are bad news, although I HAD to use them for uveitis inflammation. Steroids weaken blood vessels and collagen, so I can imagine they could damage the vitreous humor too. Some of the newer steroids like Durezol, are truly dangerous, and I wish I had not used them. Durezol IMMEDIATELY, within 3 weeks, caused cataracts and I had to have cataract surgery. Can't be the only damage they did, IMO.

I got eye floaters from eye exercise. What is the best treatment?
same as all other floaters.
Bromelain might help them get active

I have had floaters since my late twenties and I am now in my 60s.
I have just got used to them over the years, but last August, I developed new shaped floaters and flashing lights.
Last week, I developed a very large floater (the size is about half of my eye). I decided to again just get on with it, but I still have regular flashes.
I would add that I also have keratoconus, which has been quite stable for about 40 years.
It is the size of the new floater which bothers me. It's in the same eye as the flashes.
Please see you eye doctor immediately to rule out a retinal detachment.
