You need to use the sedan top grill part. You know where that part that dips down from the hood, that you mentioned? The EM2 one won't fit, but The ES1/2 one will!
Dude I have the same car a 2002. I liked the grill at first but then or ordered a honeycomb grille which looks way nicer. But that gap is still there lol. Try it out if u feel like it looks better.
For the rear I used a 2002-2005 EP3 emblem, and for the front I've read you can use DC5, EP3, or Honda Fit emblems. I don't know how well they'll fit since I never installed a front emblem. You'll have to measure your emblem size and compare it to the ones I listed. Usually the for sale ads on eBay or Amazon tell you the dimensions of the emblem.
Best place to look is either on eBay or amazon. The one I used on my Civic EM2 was a jdm Civic ep3 emblem. They seem to be the best size and shape for the 01-05 civics.
I think the front grill would look much better with the bottom trim color matched to the body.

I like the drill I just bought me a grill last week and brand new black housing clear lights for the front
I cut mine right along the top of the H on the old plastic and it fits nice
