Yeah, that grill does not fit too great, but I was pleasantly surprised about the fitment on the fenders and hood. Pick a part will be my friend for the OEM bumper. I think it will clean up the gaps better. And if I ever come across some OEM CTR head lights, that would make my day.
So I'm actually going to be doing a 96-98 front end on my 99-00 hatch lol. The 96-98 front grew on me. Hopefully all goes well. I know that the top 2 bumper mounts will need some adjusting but other than that, hopefully it's just the same as this video but in reverse 😬
Got a friend here in tx who has an acount to a body parts store and the whole front would cost me about $170 so im goin with that route any opinions or questions lmk
Looks good. I did this to my civic, but I really hate the grill that came with mine the cut outs are so bad. Yours looks good and I had to cut the back of the grill to make it fit. For these Taiwanese parts I sanded down with 150 to the metal and added high quality etching primer, poly primer on top and added sealer underneath the hood. I also installed side markers on my fenders lol the 00 rear bumper taiwan fits very good also.
It was a great video but i found out ur getting that gap in the fender and the bumper. The 00 have a smaller metal under the headlights i replaced it on my 97 and the gap is not there no more . Once again great video it help me a lot.
$300 🤔 is that installation cost? I'm already at $519 lol🤑... Civic looks great and thanks for the info and the help making finding these parts faster. 🤟🤟
Why didn't you show us how you remove the right fender, and when you are removing the hood, you didn't show also which bolts and nuts to unscrew, Fire your cameraman.
Pro tip if you're removing a hood by yourself unbolt the side that doesn't have the prop up stick first.
So good to see you do this without having to swap core supports!
Told the shop I went because of you and got a discount for the same conversion ❤️
woooooow, i literally bought all that stuff yesterday for my 98 civic build. thanks
99-00 front end for the win! Same as my hatch. It has that same front end. It’s a 97! & definitely would get a CTR grill.

Looks good bro. I agree the 99-00 front looks so much better. Would love to get my hands on a Milano red EM1.
Thank You!
Good to know im not the only one who wants to do this to their car
looks good! but pro tip: where you install the bolts in some places if you add washers your gaps would end up perfect!
Could you elaborate on this I’m about to try this myself

I GOT A 98 HATCH DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO DO A 99 TO 00 FRONT END OR I JUST NEED A HOOD AND FENDERS AND BUMPER ONLY??
I have a 4 door 97 lx. Would this conversation work the same? I’m new to all this and I’m just tryna build my car from the ground up

Awesome. Thank you for the advice. I am going to paint it a few weeks.
I have a question and need some help!.... I’ve a 98 Honda Integra Sj and I hate the look on the front.. Would this conversion work on the Sj as well?
how did you get the end of the bumper flush with the fender? i have a big gap there on both sides and i got gaps upder the headlight
You said 99-00 Honda, is this compatible with 97?
The car originally was 96-98 front end, he converted to 99-00 so yes it would be compatible with 97. 👍🏽
We have exactly the same car except mine is DX 1997. Thanks for posting!
Ahahahah exactly the same happens to me a few days ago, with my bonnet and my girlfriend 😂
I always preferred the ej1 front end look
Now rear bumper and OEM taillights
You read my mind
radiator support ?
If you want it to fix correctly you need to swap out you front core support. 00 and 96 core support aren't the same.
do you just bolt it on or do you have to weld it on?
It was a great video but i found out ur getting that gap in the fender and the bumper. The 00 have a smaller metal under the headlights i replaced it on my 97 and the gap is not there no more . Once again great video it help me a lot.
Greddy front lip, had it on my 00 Si and it was good fitment and quality.
You read my mind!
cant wait to do mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about the rear trunks and tailights
Are those headlights from the kit? Or separate
Dude that is so dope! I'm going to try it! Great video!
If I have a 97 civic do I change the headlights to 99-00 if I change the front end?
Yes the 99 headlights have a different shape and it will not fit your bumper hood or fenders
Hey man i have the same civic but my bumper came out horrible the bumper is lower then my headlights
SI blue would be nice
Good luck with the grille, it's damn impossible to find now
A question brother. 2016 WRX can wera Brembo calipers that come G35 2006
sorry I do not think that setup will work
Can I know where to buy this
How was it $300 when the hood is $300 alone?
kokonutfreaks exactly
Check with your local body shops. I called around and found a new 99 hood for $120, I just have to drive 20 miles to pick it up.
Great video helps a lot thanks
Damn man I've been trying to sell my 99+ front end. I didn't realize how much people pay for Taiwanese parts.
Crazyy amount
$300 🤔 is that installation cost? I'm already at $519 lol🤑... Civic looks great and thanks for the info and the help making finding these parts faster. 🤟🤟
Doesn’t eBay sell oem parts ?
New sub .can't wait to see it boosted 😉
What happens with this build ??
Si and CTR are same lip and grill
👍👍
Came out nice I like the 96-98 it has a smaller grill the 99-00 has a wide ass grill ugly in my opinion
B20 black gst
Why didn't you show us how you remove the right fender, and when you are removing the hood, you didn't show also which bolts and nuts to unscrew, Fire your cameraman.
To bad you didn’t stay period correct but it’s your build
I just do not like the 96-98 front end. The 99-00 Civic front is bit more modern and offers alot more options for lips, etc.
Did you change out the radiator support or it's still the same 96 98?
