I have used 2 sets on N rated tires ( Pirelli) and no i have find out that Yokohama bran tested their premium tires while running Porsche racing team ( non factory) . My experience with V601 model is that grip is absolutely same as one in Pirelli yet road manners , noise level and aquaplaning in Yokoham is greatly improved, My opinion include 2 day long track days in very hot weather and in light rain weather. Further Yokohama will last approximately 10-20% longer that pirellis ( already got 23000km of them and absolutely pass track day inspection with no problem )
I strongly believe that top Michelin tires would provide much greater performance , so will possibly new Continental or top spec Pirelli- In my case though tires I choose are far beyond car requirements and my skill level ( I tend to be in the middle of the pack on the track with several passes).
Anyhow even if from engineering standpoint your statement has some grounds you are far far too melodramatic , hence as mentioned above silly, goofy or arrogant - choose yourself

Waste of 3 minutes. Absolutely nothing of value gained. Ugh, I hate false advertising…

Don’t drive like a plonker and you won’t crash into an icecream van, small children, or any other innocent bystander because you mashed the throttle when exiting a car meet!
Plenty of decent tyres on the market without N rating and in a few cases well updated on the N rated release model. Doesn’t need to be a ditch finder.
With regard the “tree sap additive” you mention, this goes off after time and UV exposure. Effectively a three year old tyre would be the same as one that hasn’t been treated. As most piggies get very few miles and the tyres don’t get run down, that N rating goes off but folk are still happy to drive about on them stating this type of BS.

@@mollysgarage4504 While I agree not to put cheap ditch finders on a performance car, tyre development has moved on hugely since the N rated versions of this generation. A set of PS4s or CS 7 is on another planet grip wise.
