The ending is glorious.
This song always hits me directly in the feels. Like every single time.
I like the slow build of this one. There's a cool dichotomy between the bass and a glockenspiel. The ending crescendo is cathartic. Like much Radiohead it deserves multiple listens.

Literally can say that about 40 of their tracks and you wouldn't be wrong. That's the animal we are dealing with here. Phenomenal band.

You know an album is good when every song has comments saying it's their favorite off of it.
I had a completely different musical taste before I stumbled across Radiohead. In Rainbows was the first album I delved into after seeing their music video for "Jigsaw Falling into Place." I listened through it a few times and enjoyed it, but for whatever reason when the climax of this song hit, something in my brain and body clicked and I went, "ahhh, I finally get it." I was blown away and I never looked back. Very glad you're taking the time to listen through an album that means so much to me. I'm loving your reactions, and I can't wait to see how you feel about the rest of In Rainbows. Cheers, man! Much love.

Up there as one of my favourite Radiohead songs. SPIN magazine did an article asking a bunch of musicians which was their favourite Radiohead song, and actually quite a few chose this song from all of their many great songs.
The baseline on this is tremendous it’s the glue that holds it together
Hey man, I love Radiohead so much and this song is beautiful. I don't know if you still do these kind of full album reactions, but I would like to recommend The Soul Cages by Sting. That album is beautifully written and is a great experience.
