WOW, that was boring
Channel blockingly boring
And there’s no sound at all.
2mins into the video and you never see the van again. His pride was hurt.
Toyota!
Absolutely! He endangered multiple people’s lives, their property, his own life, and We The People’s property that he was in-trusted with. All to get the bad guy. The 2 sayings that most cops I worked with were “Get the bad guy at all expense” and “The end justifies the means” and that is contrary to the laws that govern all of us.
@@MrEldoradot ..Not because of Toyota its because the cop had to watch out for people, the van driver didnt care and blasted through reds etc..I am a former Toyota tech and those vans are SLOW!
The van is seen again actually:
@ 7:32- Clearly out in front of after the cruiser finishes the R hander.
@ 7:48 - At the end of the straight coming to the ‘Y’ where you can see it dart right after the sign.
@ 8:02- Barely visible cresting the hill as the black car is coming in opp direction.
@ 8:17 - Seen on the straight as the cruiser rounds the left hander.
@ 9:11 - Cruiser gains ground.
@ 11:10 - Seen crossing into opp lane to pass a vehicle in city streets.
@ 11:20 - *_The last time the van is seen for real_*
It's hard to believe how a van could easily outrun a cruiser. But we know that there are troopers and troopers...
No it isn't, it was a Toyota.
That wasn't a trooper. That police car could barely make 120. Almost all cars produced today could give it a run for the money if not out pace it.
It was over when he stopped at the traffic light. Never seen him after that.
@@MrEldoradot Yeah a slow Toyota..
@@bsmenot7777 It was a suv cruiser and not a Charger..the Charger's do over 150 mph and that's only because its governed..and rarely cars get away.
For 90% of the video, you don’t even see the suspect vehicle. Didn’t it dawn on the trooper that when he can’t catch up that the van went a totally different direction? With him being so far behind, they could have turned anywhere.
I've watched hundreds of these videos and it always amazes me that the officers seem to know the vehicle is still in front of them or has turned. I know on these side roads you can normally see well down the crossroads across the fields, so other than more grown-up areas, it is easy to see if someone turned.
he was not far behind just before he got into town
That camera is a chep one. It look like the cars are closer that we can see in the camera😮.
They know the position of the suspect because they follow the information by radio from standing police cars along the road of the suspect... 😅
Did you notice the vehicles driving slow on the shoulder? That tells the Officer that van just went by!
Ill never get back that 14 mins of the most boring chase thats ever been aired
Try jumping ahead. Works well.
I7777
Cop driving like a crazy person. He never saw the car he was chasing after the first three minutes .
It is seen several times but you have to REALLY be looking hard. I saw it at least 5 times again, and right before this cop crashed, that was the van in front of him.
Best thing about video is you can fast-forward it..
Thats what I did .
@@axiomist4488
Me too.
Move along and don't waste your time with this video. Also no audio. THUMBS DOWN
Thanks!
Why??? Just why? This cop was going 117 MPH to chase this van that he couldn't even see anymore until the VERY end. Absolutely ridiculous.
Haha. This cop was stupid af
That's is another cop that put people in danger
WOW, at 7:26 he takes a 90 degree corner at 115 mph. I want some of those tires.
I saw that. lol
And then he was going faster but somehow it showed 84 mph LOL
Also when he crashed into the truck he accelerated from 31 mph to 45 mph. I don't think that the speed indicator is accurate at all.
Cops fault. They can only go through a red light or stop sign after they are sure the other drivers and pedestrians have seen him and yielded.
And at that point the useless cop saw the van like 4 minutes ago so he is not actually on a chase
No sound; the hamsters under the hood were not pedaling fast enough for the police car to even keep thj van in sight. the van had multiple opportunities to turn off on side roads and completely lose the police car...
That was some bad police driving. Horrible.
Poor Red Truck. Hopefully it didn't require a junk yard stay overnight
The police had a chase by himself
I'm surprised the Snyder's Brick & Block truck wasn't cited for blocking the intersection.
Where I live I nearly hit an officer who pulled out from an intersection suddenly. I think he got a call and just didn't see me a 1st. We both got stopped with a few feet to spare. I ws driving a semi truck. A few months later a female driver got into a accident with a officer responding to a call and they charged her with failure to yield to a emergency vehicle.I think she didn't see the officer at all until near impact. However after that a officer hit someone and kept going, He was reported and it was found to be true and the sheriff ordered him to be arrested.
When the department is so cheap that their dashcams don't even record sound, you know you're about to watch some of the worst policing in America's history
When criminals are too cowardly to take personal responsibility for their poor choices & running like pathetic cowards.
@@Han9emA11 lol thinking you can just force people to stop so you can rob them because you think they drove too fast.
The Cop Muted The Audio!
@@josephkowalczyk7459 I D 10 T
@@josephkowalczyk7459 There are these things called speed limits which are posted. So if someone is exceeding those posted speed limits they are breaking traffic laws. Now I know you probably didn't finish school past the 7th grade so maybe you should study up on the traffic laws of your state.
Too bad a trooper wasn't in the area. Some of those local police cars actually run Eco-6 engines. Just not built for those long high-speed chases.
really!
outrun by a toyota minivan
lmao
The reason the van got so far ahead was the trooper having to slow down for lights and stop signs while the van just blew through everything.
@@lelandlewis7207 The police dash cam should have the van's plate number. The driver will eventually be arrested
@@tompastian3447 Only if they can prove who the driver is. If the officer didn't see the driver and the driver wasn't caught by the camera, they only have proof of what van they were chasing.
@@lelandlewis7207 Just watch the first few seconds of this video, you can see the plate numbers. The investigation could determine who was driving the vehicle. If it wasn't stolen, i.e. no police report was made of a stolen vehicle, then they have ways of determining who was driving.
It's not stated why the officer wanted to pull the vehicle over. Maybe expired tags, or the driver committed an infraction we don't see on film.
@@tompastian3447 Unless the person confesses, it isn't easy to absolutely prove who was driving, especially if multiple people have access to the vehicle. There are many cases where they "know" who was driving but can't make the case stick because they officer can't positively ID the driver.
I know that people run for stupid reasons, but the way this started would make you think it is something major, with the vehicle cutting through traffic as soon as the officer hit the lights.
Some people should Not be police officers.
This guy. Try for Jack in the Box.
Period.
No sound/audio...??? not interested...
Lost the car he was Chaising.
The van driver is dead though.
Hope the cop is alright...
Finally, someone actually asks about the officer. I don’t need all the comments about how dumb the officer is. That’s easy to say for people not in his shoes. Anyway, I hope that officer is ok.
He’s not intelligent cop, risking his life for nothing. Teenagers brain
The quality looks like the cops tv show. How is that even possible in 2024? Still looks like bank cameras. Some are clear with audio
Fast ass mini van
No,slow ass cop !
Policing so bad the criminals take themselves out lol
Editing is your friend..
Highest pay for the lowest education. No visual after 2min. Runs 100+ for 9min with no visual, endangering everyone on the 2 lane rural road for what? Any accident would have been a fatality for what?
How do these people pass ANY competancy or comprehension test? Never should have been a Public Servant. Unqualified like his Superiors.
Did they ever catch the bro they were chasing? Was it Eric Hawkins?
According to the description, the driver committed suicide. Not sure when or where
Yup, the van driver is pushing up daisies.
Honestly, I'm kinda surprised more high speed pursuits don't end like this. Some officers completely throw caution to the wind in the video's of high speed pursuits that get posted.
I NOTICED A SLIGHT PAUDE 1 ROAD BEFORE THE NEXT BLOCK WHER THE BAD ACCIDENT HAPPENED
I ENLARGE THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AND COULD NOT SEE WHAT COLOR IT IS
My mini had 2655555 horsepower you can't touch me.
Was or is that officer okay 😊
I wish I knew. Good to see someone ask, or have concern.
A EXSTREAMLY TERRIBLE VIDEO CLIP WITH NO SOUND OR EXPLAINING WHATS GOING ON AND WAS THE OFFICER BADLY HURT
CAN'T HEAR YOU.
When the speed shown, in the upper right-hand section of the screen was showing 100 MPH+, do not believe it.
I do not believe that the police cruiser's speed ever exceeded 70 MPH.
There were times it shows 120 MPH. No way.
If you have ever driven 120 MPH, you would feel like you are in a real-life action game. It is scary. Whatever you see in front of you is behind you, an instant later.
@4:32 -- There is no way that he took that turn at 117 MPH.
A Ferrari LaFerrari might make that turn at 117 MPH. But no police cruiser would survive that turn at 117 MPH.
How can the camera's calibration with the car's speed be so wildly mis-calibrated?
117 is TOP speed for the cops in Columbus OH? Pretty weak!
Some people are too stupid to be allowed out in public without a court appointed guardian.
Knew it was going to happen
Do police ever think "how far am I gonna go for this person?" Sometimes, you just gotta know when to call it off!
Is it just me? Because at the start of the video and into most of it. I hear no sound
Nope 😂 I’m not hearing any sound and it’s driving my ears bonkers! ✌️
It's just you. I could hear Dolby surround sound and also in 1080p HD.
Where's your mic
90 mph avarage speed! Wow! At that rate of speed any trooper would lose contact! 😂
Making me check my volume, assuming I was missing something!😂🤣
Cop had hi license Platte number there was no need for endangering all those people
Ohio’s Own
With no sound, definitely a flop.
I fell asleep watching. So did my cat.
This cop is a bad driver. He was too far back. Couldn't see the perp. And then he gets in an accident. Terrible.
The countryside is beautiful. I wonder how long it takes them to go to the grocery store?
Cops chasing some at 100+ mph and it ends in crash? No Way!!
This chase was so fast that it was faster than the speed of sound! Watch it and you'll seeee.... errr-um, hear... I mean, no you won't 😂.
You got Tim Hortons there!
And now for something completey different........
this time i'm actually glad i was too impatient and just scrolled through this whole shit from the beginning
Dummy blew a red light......cop at fault.
OMG, 🤣 That high proformance minivan gonna out run cops with instantaneous world wide communication.
Well first off, I hope the cop was Ok ! That having been said, this was sad,on multiple counts,a mini van out runs a cop. Once he gets dropped in the dust, he has no idea where the perp has gone. Even if the cop was going in the right direction, he was so far behind that the poor truck driver had no idea the cop was coming,(even if he was at the intersection) when the perp went through. Now if this was ASP, the title would be the same, it would have been half as long, and the perp would be the one wrecked out. What ever police force this was / is a couple things need to be addressed, you need to get faster cars, and pursuit drivers training from ASP.
Maybe the police need to start driving mini vans too as that one sure embarrassed the police car.
I am glad to have skipped ahead to see the stupid conclusion.
NO AUDIO MEANS THUMBS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm really confused why police chargers don't come standard with the 6.4 , or why they don't just all use the twin turbo v6 explorer , that 5.7 charger ain't catching shit obviously cant even keep up with a toyota sienna 😂
Police need to start driving Toyotas.
Incidentally, the UK Police in London have all suddenly acquired Toyota Corolla Estate Hybrids. Good choice I suppose, because Toyota Hybrids are seriously underrated by a lot of drivers. They’re ultra reliable and will endure being raced about on emergency calls. They’re also cheaper on fuel and can cruise temporarily in EV mode, good for creeping up on criminals 😅
This video was not worth posting..sorry..
LMMFAO 😂😂😂😂😂!! Some days are diamonds, some days are stones!
The 3 minutes of black screen at the end made it ominous.
This is terrible dangerous for the population and officers
There’s got to be a better way of stopping them faster
Where did this chase happen?
I'll save you some time: Go to 11:20 -- he crashes into a semi (cop ran a red light).
Thats all kinds of embarrassing for the cops I would think! On many levels
Wow, all of that for a misdemeanor
The van driver is dead.
Oooops Not the crash I was expecting. Thanks (not) ABC for providing context. The ChatGPT generated comments in the description aren't enough.
I feel for the truck driver.
This will most likely go on his CSA.
What was the purpose for this highly dangerous chase in the first place???
Murder, kidnap, or other violent act?
Felony jaywalking
@@ManMountainMetalsOh no!! The Serial Jaywalker struck again???
He MUST be stopped at all costs so this cops ego can be whole once again!
Had the same thing happen to me. I was still doing 25 mph when i hit the truck, this guy, 45 mph. I was laid up for over 2 weeks, i can imagine this guy was hurting a little while too.
I've seen stupid chases but this one takes the cake!
I'm guessing a bloated v6 SVU isnt a proper pursuit vehicle. The driver didn't seem overly confident in his abilities and it showed. It was an embarrassment.
its obvious the mini van driver has more driving skills then that cop what a joke !
Should read the comments before watching video. Really hope officer is okay.
It will be a while before he drives like that again.
Crazy!! So this is the video you guys showed this morning, suspect shot himself? Hope the cop is alright!
Suspect vehicle could have turned off and went a different direction, as there was plenty of opportunities. Trooper went against a red traffic light and hit the semi truck that had the green light. Even with emergency lights and siren activated (could not hear siren, as there was no sound) trooper is required to use due regard to other motorists when responding with emergency lights and siren activated and make sure that the intersection is clear to enter. Obviously, this chase was not worth crashing the taxpayer funded cruiser into the semi truck and damaging both vehicles and putting both out of service, plus risk of injury, especially for the trooper. Semi would not be totaled as the cruiser, but it would put it out of service for a time for some expensive repairs and cost the company money in down time as well. Retired former volunteer advanced EMT.
I want to know what's up with the mini van that the cop is going 90 to 117 MPH for a lot of the chase but can't catch up with it again.
Columbus Ohio can't afford new cameras in their patrol cars? this footage was taken on 5-6-2024, but looks like something from an old episode of COPS from 1994.
That was insane. I was amazed how did they took great risk at over 100MPH+ and not sure if the driver was still on the same road.
I never took that risk in So Calif. I guess that was difference between country and city.
Just goes to show how bad of drivers most cops are 👎. Letting moms minivan outrun you and the running a RED light and hitting a semi at 22 mph , NO Words 🤡
1:21 - why did the member not block the road with their truck? get out and set a barrier
What goes into the mind ? I am going to get away from police in my minivan?
A good portion of the US live in a different reality.
Hello? Nimrods. He DID get away.
@@0utpatient from mental institution
How are we supposed to know he’s on a chase?
Seem to me he was on a Sunday drive in the country….
then Not!
14 minutes and 25 seconds lost, never to get them back....wtf
Why didn't the cop look at his Dashcam footage and just run the plate? That is assuming that the mini-van wasn't stolen -- or even if it was stolen he had the plate to look up for starters instead of trying to keep up with the van. But, hey, at least he now knows his cruiser can go 117 mph. But COME ON MAN !!! A mini-van out ran your cruiser? REALLY ?!!
Only crash here is the Black screen of Death from the camera.
I saw the cop at a few points going 121 MPH.
Cop drove through a red light and didn’t see the semi…really? …luckily there weren’t people in the crosswalk, a bicyclist or a motorcycle on the street. At least the semi driver should have come out of this uninjured due to shear size.

He crashed at 45 mph ??? Must have had bad brakes What a fool !!!
No sound either
...crappy
so, did the officer survive the crash?
Those open fields along those open stretches there remind me of the cotton fields up north, in the delta, lol! Up there, as far as the eye can see there's land where cotton has been planted and about to come in full bloom. The fields are pretty and white but my, that is some backbreaking work!!!
Hope our Officer is ok. 45 mph impact...not too bad. As long as no vehicles caught fire. I'd like to know how the drivers ended up. We can't have vans driving over 100. No lights or siren...get people killed! But the original dash cam recorded the vehicle & plates way back at that first red light left turn. It was very foolish to run from the Police.
