I always boil the eggs in with the cooking curry. Saves lekky and a bit of washing up.

Why you cave around, if you broke the plant?

Is it good practice to give hard cut back before digging yamadori?

Yes, no harm in my opinion. If these are enough branches beneath 😊

Hi. Does the substrate you use, Liapor, have good results for yamadori? I've never used it and would be grateful if you could give me more details. Thank you.

Liapor is very for bonsai, a bit lower water retention than akadama but much safer to use, it doesn’t break apart so it can’t make damage to the tree. I use it in combination with peat and I’m happy with it. Also it’s quite cheap and widely available.

If you want, use translator. My english is bad and i dont know how to explain what a want to say 😊 Slovak language: Ahoj.

Yes it is a stump now, but with some power carving it will look good.
