      that is mostly the limitation of blender visualizers at the basic level. you can get more advanced but that would either require work with advanced systems like drivers or python code (not to mention importing multi channel/stereo audio to serve as the 2D displacement unless you just want your visualizer to be a simple bar or ring visualizer)

      well you can choose the frequencies your object reacts to. thus if you put a lot time into it you can have multiple objects which represent different frequency spectrums. its just more work to do

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie 4 роки тому +6

      @@tidy5156 Exactly, you can set the frequency range when baking a sound to an f-curve for that object.

    Cube deletion ideas:
    "Default the delete cube"
    Delete the cube, and have multiple other cubes show up with sad faces on them, before deleting those too
    Don't delete the cube (scandalous!)
    Use a physics simulation to make the default cube fade to dust
    Say it in another language
    Have someone else say it
    Say it, but don't actually do it

    I think you might piss off a few audiophiles here though it is worth saying, this is a start but simply 'visual reaction to audio' does not an 'audio visualizer' make.
    I see a lot of people saying simply 'this isn't an audio visualizer' without actually describing at least the bare minimum of what an audio visualizer actually is. To determine this we can look at hardware or software designed for this task, such as Spectrographs, Visual Equalizers or the humble Oscilloscope.
    In short the goal of an audio visualizer is to give you enough visual feedback such that you can at least separately determine some audio information.
    Ex. Bass, Middle and Treble frequencies. This is the actual scraping-by bare minimum for something to be considered a visualizer, IMO.
    All this needs to do, for me, to be roughly considered an audio visualizer is for it to respond to (roughly) 0-500Hz and represent that as Bass, 500Hz-3kHz as Middle and 3kHz-20kHz+ as Treble.
    Bass, middle and treble signals should be represented as equal thirds across the X of an XY plane where X=frequency and Y=volume_of_frequency. For a 3D visualizer where the Z plane can be visualized, the Z plane could offer any number of different features, but usually visually represents 'time'. The front of the visualizer will always be the 'live' view and as you look back across the Z axis you will see the signal represented over time.
    Hope that helps anyone.
