Im using Blender now for some years and have wtched hundrets of tutorials, but this on is the the first that makes use of the speaker object
now that you mention it..... yeh..... ive not seen the speaker used in ANY tutorial other than one BGE tutorial years ago possibly?
same
ikr
I usually drop music into sequencer so volume won't be affected by camera position like with speaker.
I didn't knew it existed
this tutorial is one of the most intense tutorials on this channel
yes

would've been more intense if he somewhat screamed at times

Eminem - Rap God vs CGMatter - Create An Audio Visualizer Fast (Blender Tutorial)
CGMatter has finally turned into CGRapper
can you make a tutorial just for the deleting the cube bit. I'm stuck.

1). Select the default cube. 2) Hesitate, because you're killing a default cube.
at this pace you're practically speed running a tutorial
But this doesn't actually visualise too much, except volume. The waves are just random
that is mostly the limitation of blender visualizers at the basic level. you can get more advanced but that would either require work with advanced systems like drivers or python code (not to mention importing multi channel/stereo audio to serve as the 2D displacement unless you just want your visualizer to be a simple bar or ring visualizer)
Animation nodes (a blender plugin) has very good audio support
well you can choose the frequencies your object reacts to. thus if you put a lot time into it you can have multiple objects which represent different frequency spectrums. its just more work to do
@@tidy5156 Exactly, you can set the frequency range when baking a sound to an f-curve for that object.
yep, that actually gives me an idea for another tutorial! Like other people have said it seems like you manually have to set frequency ranges.
CGMatter: get a full tutorial for $1
me: plays this video at 0.5x speed
Cube deletion ideas:
"Default the delete cube"
Delete the cube, and have multiple other cubes show up with sad faces on them, before deleting those too
Don't delete the cube (scandalous!)
Use a physics simulation to make the default cube fade to dust
Say it in another language
Have someone else say it
Say it, but don't actually do it
Infinite possibilities
These are all really good you should have had him pay you for these ideas
I think I’ll just do the last one
Do not delete the default cube
Say it but show a reverse clip of creating a cube
I'mma be real, these fast-paced tutorials make a lot more sense to my brain than the long ones. Like, he shows every step and doesnt dwell on other things you *could* do, or "common mistakes" which i always end up missing the fact that it's an example, then i follow along with the mistake and aaaaa, yeh thanks for being right to the point
Too slow, I miss the old CGmatter
just watch it in 2x speed, thats what I do with the default cube cgmatter tutorials
Dragon's dream I hate that you’re correct about this Being slow
The motion of the ocean👌
why did i watch a tutorial years ago when i couldve easily waited years for this one
Im so glad you are back
Just what I needed! I also loved your “pin art displaced by a moving image” tut
I'm just here to say I love you CGMatter
He loves you too.
smooch
I find it so much more understandable when it's explained faster this way.... usually I get lost, with this format I can stay focus understand everything at once, thank you!
Thank you for making these short format tutorials. I hope this catches on more in the Blender community, it really saves me so much time.
Eminem: I fear no man
CGMatter: This video
Eminem: But that thing... it scares me.
I like how the free version of the tutorial is basically mental torture, and if you want to avoid the psychological damage you got to pay
Man, I watch all tutorials on 2x speed and have to decrease it everytime again, when I click on your tutorials!
That said, I watch every tutorial of you.💕
most cohesive tutorial ever. Short and to the point. thank you
I love your business model: give a fast paced taste but a paid normal paced taste
I like the jab at the short tutorial format, there are topics that need time.
the amazing thing that he explains everything without skipping
I usually watch tutorials at 2X speed but here it's set at 2X by default lol
@@jaimerojas6578 ikr lmao
Please do never stop this kind of videos
i'm nodding my head to the beat, eyes squinted, my leg is bouncing furiously, and i'm biting the inside of my cheek.
this video has some *energy* bro. thank you, well done.
Every tutorial needs to be in this format from now on.
Finally. Somebody who gets it. Nobody wants to sit hunched over, gaping at a tut for an hour straight.
Brilliant tutorials! :D
First time visiting your channel and subscribed in half of video !
As a Musicproducer I need more of blender audio tutorials.

I've never been so stressed by a video in my life, much less a tutorial.
Awesome man.
damn this vid is the quickest way to get me to subscribe, love the speed !
I think you might piss off a few audiophiles here though it is worth saying, this is a start but simply 'visual reaction to audio' does not an 'audio visualizer' make.
I see a lot of people saying simply 'this isn't an audio visualizer' without actually describing at least the bare minimum of what an audio visualizer actually is. To determine this we can look at hardware or software designed for this task, such as Spectrographs, Visual Equalizers or the humble Oscilloscope.
In short the goal of an audio visualizer is to give you enough visual feedback such that you can at least separately determine some audio information.
Ex. Bass, Middle and Treble frequencies. This is the actual scraping-by bare minimum for something to be considered a visualizer, IMO.
All this needs to do, for me, to be roughly considered an audio visualizer is for it to respond to (roughly) 0-500Hz and represent that as Bass, 500Hz-3kHz as Middle and 3kHz-20kHz+ as Treble.
Bass, middle and treble signals should be represented as equal thirds across the X of an XY plane where X=frequency and Y=volume_of_frequency. For a 3D visualizer where the Z plane can be visualized, the Z plane could offer any number of different features, but usually visually represents 'time'. The front of the visualizer will always be the 'live' view and as you look back across the Z axis you will see the signal represented over time.
Hope that helps anyone.
im too lazy but yeah i think so
Finally long forgotten speaker was used... AGAIN! :) nice!

I like fast tutorials but maybe not quite as fast. lol I had to rewatch it multiple times to understand something that turned out was kinda basic. Maybe because english isnt my first language. Anyway, great tutorials!
