You could give the objects the rigid body property for the particles to hit them, or you can give them the force field property for the particles to avoid them
When you use Sound to Samples there are settings for minimum and maximum frequencies. Also, you may want to use a tool like ultimate vocal remover to isolate specific instruments.

@@dentechs take "Trap nation" for example, there is like a "cumulate" effect there. In blender the reaction of the spectrum, No matter which method you use, is very flat and simple.
@More! S L O W E D Ah that’s because that’s going by individual frequencies instead of the peak in a group like bake f-curve does. Take a look at the audivs plugin, might be a bit more like what you’re looking for: blendermarket.com/products/audvis Here’s an example I made with it: ua-cam.com/video/wBTL9kEGXUw/v-deo.html
@@stealthizoptional In the F-Curve menu you have options for the frequency and how to interpret, such as accumulative, additive, square. To make an object that reacts to just the bass kicks then use a Low range from 0 to a high of 150. accumulative adds each peak of the wave together give a value from 0 to infinity, additive adds the peak to the trough giving values between -1 and 1, square just give -1 or 1 based on a threshold. Once you import the F-Curve if the effect is too subtle you need to Un-Bake Curve of the keyframes and then you can scale them up to increase the intensity using the graph editor.

It bakes to ram, and once ram is full it stores it to a page file on your drives. Restarting your pc clears the page file which is why 12gb was restored. And the 5gb that was in ram never took storage in the first place. Because my PC has 64 gigs of ram it didn’t have to use a page file at all, meaning performance wouldn’t be limited by a much slower drice
Does it have to be a particle system for this effect to work? Or could you hypothetically use a distribute points and instance node in geonodes to make a similar effect?
You can do it a dozen different ways, at the end of the day it’s just driving a variable with the f-curve. I did actually make an example with geo nodes but I never ended up making a guide for it: ua-cam.com/video/A4HDazNjN6k/v-deo.html
You can use the F-Curve on anything that can be keyframed. I've used it on an array modifier to drive the array count, trickier because it only accepts integers where the f-curve produces values between 0 and 1 so you have to scale the F-Curve on the graph editor to your liking to get it to do what you want if working with integer feilds.
Hey when I bake my blender shuts down without any warning and looses the file…. Do you know how I can fix that ? I’m on a Mac book pro rn and my blender is 3.64
