the kerbals cant exit so, a rescue craft would have to relocate the entire ride but it'll most def burn up on re-entry probably

Vorname Nachname no it’s a lunar (munar in ksp) eclipse, because the moon (the mun in ksp) is eclipsed by earth (kerbin in ksp), during a solar eclipse, the EARTH/KERBIN is eclipsed by the MOON/MUN, not the other way around

Would be cool, if this turned into a series, where you would eventually build a full amusement park on the mun, for tourists. I am not expecting complicated rollercoasters right away, but something like a carousel or a droptower, and some kind of path to connect them together, maybe even an runway for SSTOs, so new tourists could arrive. Not sure how it would go together whith the planet coaster series, but just suggesting.

@Matt Lowne - To slow down the spin rate you could use two rotors opposing each other. If 5 rpm is minimum then you could set the other to 7 rpm, then this would result in a total of 2 rpm together.
I think only multiples of 5 work

you could try making this into something useful by making each pod into a return pod and spinning the Ferris wheel very fast then detaching and just yeeting it towards kerbin

Once again, to get slower rotation, use the stepper motors (I forget their name in game) with a KAL and animate the target position with the controller.
Thanks for the inspiration, now I'll do it with stock hinges.

Assuming a 15 m radius of the wheel (looks about right), you'd want a rotational speed of about 0.08 rpm to be at 1/10th of munar gravity - at 5 rpm, it's generating about 0.4 g, or about 2.4 munar gravities, and at 30 rpm, it is generating about 15 g, or about 90 munar gravities.

9:00 Same thing began to happen to me a couple weeks ago, I think, as well as flickering trajectory line. It usually fixes itself when you have less than full orbit left before the encounter, but it makes planning the orbit really annoying.
Rescue them with the Blunderbirds. If they're trapped in the ferris wheel, you just gotta bring the whole thing back.

That first Ferris rocket was the least stable thing I've ever seen and I once played jelly jenga.

from there its ez to do things but getting it in orbit first is hard for me...

The reason your Mun encounter was an orbit ahead is due to what I think is a glitch associated with the patched conics limit
If only each cabin could be decoupled - at full speed they may have been flung back to kerbin and been able to return home!
You could have slowed it down by stacking 2 rotors and having them go in opposite directions. One rotor at 5rpm and one opposite at 6 would give you 1rpm resulting. And double the potential max speed too :D
