I’ve always liked Russ but this made me humanize him even more. He seems like an upperclass kid who was probably very sheltered. Guy seems innocent at heart. What people interpret as robotic is probable self preservation from hostile environments.

@@cliptomaniac2562I think it’s that the LOB Seahawks had so many other guys who were happy to take the spotlight, when he was the only guy left in Seattle he started opening up more and people saw his personality.
I’m also wondering… when is Pablo going to run out of things to find out 😂 it’s hard to believe the show can maintain this pace for a long time. And I mean that in the best way possible-I’ve enjoyed the hell out of every episode.

Not usually for in depth autobiographies like this, but as a Russ and Broncos fan the video was mostly lighthearted. Some of it was funny. I do hate how misunderstood he is and I wish there wasn’t as much stuff about him being “weird.” But I like how Nate tried to drive home the point that this is who he is.
So basically Rusa is not fake, he is who he is and is misunderstood. Russ comes from a very high achiever family. He didn’t grow up poor and he and his siblings went to prestigious private schools all of their life. I'm sure that he was sheltered a great portion of his life

We had a That Guy in college. Too funny. He carried loose leaf paper under one arm and several books in the other and a two liter bottle of Coke. Thick glasses. He hung out with “David Crosby” and “The Kool Aid Man”. Everyone would say “Hey you know That Guy…” and everyone knew him. Different but the same 😅

Great episode! Am a lifelong Seattle sports fan since 1970’s (lots of lean yrs) but great insight to DangeRuss. He was corny while a Hawk but winning and so beloved! But now his shtick is totally hackneyed unfortunately.

I honestly think Russell Wilson is on the autism spectrum after listening to this interview. Sounds like he has a lot of trouble picking up on social queues, and those awkward questions he asks about social situations where he seems genuinely confused is a typical response to someone trying to cope with the disorder. I always thought he was acting like a weirdo because of his ego, but after listening to this it made me feel for the guy.

Nate Tice seems like a scumbag. I'm not a Sussell Wilson fan at all but doing a youtube interview making fun of an old friend and what they were like in college is insanely uncalled for. Seems like Wilson was cool to him too.
Pablo finds some interesting topics, but the giggly, gossipy way he discusses them makes the show less interesting. Wilson is an example. There have been odds vibes coming out of Denver since Russ got there, but noting he was an ambitious robot in college wasn't insightful. Would have preferred a closer look at Russ, Hackett (last year's Denver coach and the one often blamed for that mess) and Payton (HoF coach who is ... having the same issues that Hackett did, so ....). Also, Vance Joseph is DC, and he flopped at CU, so what exactly was the thinking there?
I've liked all the episodes so far, but this one is easily the most pointless. Just 45 mins of making fun of a dude you don't understand. Which would be ok although unnecessary except you keep talking about your journalism skills and pride in doing research, etc.

I am being critical of their lack of awareness and if you don't know what I mean then perhaps yours should be called into question as well. I can empathize not understanding Christianity so maybe that is what is going on here, but many of these "quirks" like not drinking or cursing likely stem from a moral compass shaped by his faith.

I was in a hot tub with two chicks who claimed to party with Russ, during the off season they all partied on vacation but hides that side. One said she slept with him. I didn't believe them , they told me he was marrying Ciara the following week. He did.
