Just to let you know for the sake of keeping your cable and HDMI connector on the Map Tuner X in good condition for years to come, don't ever wiggle the connector whilst trying to pull it out, it loosens the terminals and eventually they won't connect very well and will instead become lose and faulty, for some reason it's a very bad habit most people do, the reason wiggling makes it easier to pull out is because it's spreading the terminals apart a little and so it comes out easier, this is what causes the problem as eventually the terminals lose their spring and won't spring back and then people wiggle it even more to try and get a connection, like they do on their mobile phone chargers and everything else they plug in. Since the Map Tuner X is only a few Hundred dollars maybe it's something you don't mind replacing yearly or more often depending how many Vehicles you program ;). The best way to disconnect a cable is to grab the front of the connector not the cable and hold the device firmly and just pull it straight out, I am sure most people have the muscle to do so, I am past 65 and I can still pull a cable with out wiggling it ;). I was in I.T for many years and rebuilt many devices from worn charge ports or worn USB and HDMI ports, iPhones seem to be the worst as I have changed some peoples charge ports on their iPhones multiple times as they won't listen to a simple instruction. Just my two cents ;)

FYI 2021 looks different from this video. It's the biggest plug port side that is black. It's next to the identical grey plug. They have quick release latches. This is the port you plug maptuner into.
Maptuner is currently developing a Yamaha Home Service Application. We expect release in early 2018. The Yamaha Logging/Monitoring App should be released by September 2017.
looked like there were other icons on the maptunerx such as "service"? does this device do more than just give the ability to upload a tune such as diagnostics on the engine? I have a 2017 gp1800 thanks for any info
Yes, the MaptunerX can do way more than just upload tunes to your ECU. The Home Service Application (Service Icon - BRP watercraft only) allows the user to view fault codes for units with a tuning license and the proper diagnostic cable. On BRP units the user can also delete fault codes. There is no Home Service Application for Yamaha or Kawasaki at this time. It is only for BRP. The Data Logging function is available for both Yamaha & BRP, and allows you to record real time data while riding. Monitoring is also a part of the Data Logging Application. Hello Yoi, If you upload your information using the MaptunerX you will also see tunes for the Yamaha EX (TR-1 Engine). These share the same ECU protocol and could be used if you have the correct parts installed for a particular tune.
Currently the Maptuner will only read & clear error codes on BRP vehicles. We will be releasing a read & clear error code functionality for Yamaha in approximately 90 days.
Oops! Didn't know that Maptuner X requires me to use Windows. Is there a work around if I only have a Macbook or should I head over to Wally-World and buy a cheap HP laptop?

Be advised once you flash your ECU, you have voided your factory warranty. Is their anything I can do to make it faster without voiding my warranty?

No they have the stock tune to remove speed limit and dealer can't detect because it still runs same RPM but allows ski to operate at full potential

How many skis can be registered on this?
You can register as many as you want on the device, but for each ski you will need to have a separate tuning license since it marries to the ski.
