- Police searching for a missing baby say they have to consider the possibility the child has 'come to harm'.

The infant's parents, Constance Marten and Mark Gordon, were found last night, after weeks of public appeals for them to come forward.
They've been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

What a horrible job to have to do... I think the greater public forget that their duties aren't just arresting criminals for shop lifting, burglary, transport violations etc... Child case's must be the absolute worst especially involving one so very young & vunrable... At least the baby will be found & the dignity of a proper burial will be available.. so sad for those connected to this harrowing story

Several weeks ago CCTV was released and there was no indication the baby was with them. The pram was gone, and it was just the two of them walking, carrying bags. And she didn't walk as though she was carrying or wearing the baby.
That’s really sad . I hope the baby is safe and okay

This is so sad😔 Even I would of raised the baby for them even if it was just until they got back on their feet or even permanently if needed. God Bless🙏💔✝️ People should be more aware that they can give a baby up for adoption or give them away without being questioned or asked why or being ridiculed. There's no need to harm or murder a baby if you just can't do it give the baby to someone there's always someone willing to care for the baby. Don't be selfish and take an innocent baby's life.

She had her other children took off her so she's not going to win mother of the year. I don't know what happened to that poor baby but your baby comes first before anybody. Poor little thing didn't stand a chance.

Is the baby most likely not in one of the other locations before they got to where they were arrested? The CCTV footage I've seen of them they didn't have a baby with them 💔I pray to God the baby is ok! Poor child 💔💔💔💔💔
The poor baby, it’s obviously too late to save him or her. If it was just one of them that did it, it puts the other in an impossible situation, either way they’re screwed, lie, tell the truth, nothing changes really except the other person they love is also taken away from them.
My comments are from a viewpoint of being an abused child and having a mother that lied about what happened, and got away with it. But then with some people if your already emotionally damaged, it means trying to drag yourself out of quicksand. Never gonna happen, unless you get handed a rope.

If you were gonna say something in relation to the Nicola Bulley case it should of been the fact that the police here are decided to use the 'Working Hypothesis' strategy to explain to the press what their doing. You'd of thought that they'd of permanently excluded those words from their policing vocabulary after the performance from Lancashire Police.
That's actually a good idea and I was thinking the same thing. They had people turn up invited in Lancashire to look for Nicola Bulley and the same should of happened here. The police should of asked for help from the community as well, the more people looking for the baby the better the chance of finding it alive, if it's in the woods that is.

Early tomorrow the 36-hour extension the police are holding them both on end and I want to if their gonna get bailed or not. It was mentioned that as they clearly have no address and their definitely flight risks it isn't gonna happen, I'm not sure. What do you think?

Judging by the conduct of the police, it's likely the suspicious parents have stated they don't know where they left the baby, and most likely stating they lost the baby.

A rich, powerful Father gets the police to arrest his daughter, who has had a child with a man the Father doesn't agree with. They were hiding because of the Father, not the police! They have broken no laws, and if anything the police and the Father are the reason for the babies demise, if it has died! This is so sad, but a rich powerful Father is at the centre of this.
For all you know she could be under coercive control. Any father would be concerned about the health and welfare of his pregnant daughter and grandchild. Any mother who truly cares about their new born would want to ensure that the infant is checked by a doctor or nurse .

The pair are adults all they had to do was contact someone and say we are fine the baby is doing well.
It does raise many questions about their abilities to safely parent.
We can only hope that they have had the sense to leave the baby with someone that they actually know. If not and the baby has been neglected then it is on them . They are not children .

Both responsible so if you say that say it with balance and not automatically assuming her man is who's got control over her mentally as it could be either way and if she's got rich lawyers on her side and white tears we all know she could pin it on him and if he was in control or not, she'd probably be cleared.
Any father would be concerned about his daughter having a child with a man who has history with drugs etc.

Where was social services.. social services say they're too busy or they don't get involved at all until something like this goes wrong, they would have had a doctor they may have had the baby in a hospital when she was pregnant people around the couple should have spotted if things wasn't right I blame social services

By neglecting the baby. A newborn baby needs to be looked after properly. Neither of those two looked after that baby. Instead they lived in a car and then a tent. How can anybody look after a newborn like that. They could have left the baby at a hospital if they couldn't look after it.

There is no law to say a person or persons can and can't live of the grid and have their baby of grid . Lots of people live of grid with babies. Lots people go camping with new born or babies small children I've had 4 children and I've taken them camping from when they was new born.
