Great to see you back!🥳 That bike looks like a keeper to me it's a real beauty! 👍If you have access to the woods behind you I'd check it out for Morel mushrooms. 🍄
Hello Jared, its Dan from down in central texas. Boy im sure happy to see that you are doing well. How is the house project coming along? That bike reminds me of one of my first Shovels .. It too was a stroker with alot of the same mods. Dual plug heads and all. It was and AMF 81 FLH. I was about your age...a long time ago. Im looking at 70 right around the corner. I sure wish you the best in whats coming to this country. If you are ever down this way drop by and Ill feed you some goat meat and pinto beans.
...lol, man I've got that same gas can. Same deal, grew up with it. It was used to store our two-smoke mix for the Lawn Boy mower that we used to do the trim with. Found it in pops garage a few weeks back, tossed some fuel in it to check for leaks ...it was good, so now it's again storing two-smoke gas for my Lawn Boy mowers. I think that it was originally my grampas tank before my dad got it, sure has been around. Sharp bike too! Cheers man.
LOVE THEM OL SHOVELS!!! HAD 3 OF EM 73 FLH,76 WITH RIGID PAUCO FRAME,81 LOW RIDER!!!! ACTUALLY HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THEM AFTER SOME REPAIRS AND ADJUSTING!!!! TOO BAD THE MODERN HARLEYS DONT SOUND AS GOOD AS THESE OL SHOVELHEADS!!!!!! GOOD LUCK WITH THIS BIKE!! YOU ALREADY GOT HER RUNNING!!!!
I have one 1975 shovelhead it's a kicker only but I will change it later to starter ..Vin #match to the motor I got it great deal of $3,500 plus I spend over thousand to fix it up its been sitting for 8 years something like that..the guy got health issues so that's why I bought it... Nice bike glad you got it 👍
Hope you don't let it set for another 10 years after getting it to breath life again, did my rt555 spring ride last week, hope everything else has been good for you,
Dam , just now seen the video, good looking bike , know what you went threw, delt with the same thing myself, you know that lol, good to see you out and about my friend 👍🏻
AWESOME to see you again Bro , what a pleasant surprise to turn on the tube and see that you posted . Keep em coming , also how we lookin on x large original tee shirts ?
Welcome back, friend , haven't seen yah on here for awhile. Wondering if it's 88inch by 3 5/8 cylinder or by 4 5/8 inch stroke, it can't be both big bore and a stroker if it's an 88inch motor . Not trying to be a smart ass, I'm just curious about this point in case you're going to resell .
I've since pulled the inspection plug to check the flywheels for #'s which seemed to be stock Harley. I'd bet they put 80" flywheels in it bumping the stroke up to 4-1/4" with the 3-5/8" bore to make the 88". So probably just a big bore with 80" wheels but I'm not for certain.
what a deal.....good to see you...hope all is well.......
