There are Gibsons under $1000 (Les Paul Jr Tribute) and a lot of made-in-Mexico Fenders that are well under $1000 and are excellent guitars. I bought a used Epiphone SG for $250 that I enjoy playing more than the Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s that's $2700! The name on the headstock doesn't matter to anyone's hands.

Duesenberg with a p90 in the neck, humbucker in the bridge with their amazing trem system is another option for someone looking for something different. Incredible guitars and they do their own thing well.

  • @lyesryes

It's very reminiscent of a gibson blueshawk, so it's not a totally unique design. However I like their classy modern take on it, and the pricing is fair.
Also I think it's worth noting in the clean A/B demo at the end, I strongly prefer the tone of the crossroads to the private build.

Picked up a used lefty Lil Sister with HB's....great full and balanced tone...clean or overdriven. Swapped out bridge to their upgraded soldi brass...made a difference as they said. Those P90s sound KILLER. Private Build tone was .......better.

The P90 sounds so mongrel when playing dirty and bright, clear and clean when not breaking up. That is a real beauty 😍!
I especially love, that the P90`s got metal/ chrome covers 😘!
To me, plastic covered P90`s are almost kind of no-goes 🙄😒!
Got an Epiphone Wildkat in natural and metal/ chrome covered Doggie ears and I think the guitar wouldn’t even look half as good if it had plastic look covers 🤗🥳!
    🤔😏
Them 2 hanging on my wall side by side would make a fine looking pair 🤗🥳❣️
Thanks for your great review and overlook and a huge „Chapeau" to the B&G-Crew, great Job 👏🏽!
    Very well done 👍🏻!
    I almost forgot!
Without knowing any price here in Germany I think I can surely seriously say: in comparison to my Wildkat, the B&G Step-Sister is at least a "1 Step-up-Sister"! 🤩😍🥰😘🥳!
