I consider myself an authority on all of Elvis’s songs, but I’ve never heard this duet, my guess it was blended by technology that is available today and it was beautiful, of course, EP continues to reign in the position of “The King”, many feel as I do. My favorite song by Tom Jones is 🎵She’s A Lady 🎵, somewhere I have a version of that song by EP also. No one can sing a story as well as EP

FAKED! Elvis NEVER recorded this or any other song with Tom Jones. Col. Parker wouldn't have allowed it because he didn't want anything presented as a performance that might distract the limelight from the moneymaker he ruthlessly managed. This doctored video used an Elvis track and badly overdubbed it with another track where the voice was isolated and altered to try to match the song speed, intonation, and notes on the first track.
This deception, which has been making the rounds for a while on YT and other social media, was promoted as something real purely to take advantage of the gullibility of a certain naive segment of adamantly ardent fans eager to prove that the vocal performance of one or the other artist paled in comparison. The tech-tinkered combination rakes in views to make somebody money.
Stop doing the memory of Elvis an injustice and stop dissing Tom as well by passing around this faked video. It's wishful thinking to believe whose ever voice that was overlaid wasn't messed with. Believe what you want to believe, but if you think this so-called duet was real, you'll believe anything.
Elvis and Tom were friends, and didn't view each other as competitors. For crying out loud... stop disseminating, passing around, reacting to, and promoting a faked video that does two great artists a clear disservice!

Elvis in his 5th take creamed this song. Just killed it. This was probably Tom's best song that showcased what he could do with his set of lungs, but ELVIS was just on another level. and this version by Elvis shows his crazy range, where he remains SMOOTH in EVERY OCTIVE and EVERY KEY. Elvis had no weaknesses and WAS ABLE TO DICTATE passion WITH EVERY BREATH. NOBODY, and I mean nobody BEATS PRESLEY. ua-cam.com/video/g_H_FTOk7Dk/v-deo.html

though tom attended many of e's shows.
they were very close friends, hung out together, even vacationed together and e would go to tom's vegas shows all the time, tom would bring him on stage and they'd goof around.
unfortunately they never sang together in a professional setting, they sang together all the time in private and Tom still speaks very sweetly about e to this day when asked about him
the colonel would never allow them to be recorded together.

Agreeing w-Helen (below) -- just wonder if there was a problem or something strange about this because we didn't here Elvis clearly by himself. If you do one artist & then the other artist afterwards, then we can hear 2 clear versions of how different they are. Thanks much.

This is not Elvis & Tom Jones singing on the same track. Col. Parker would not let Elvis record with Tom Jones. This is just Elvis singing. Tom gave numerous interviews about Elvis and him getting together in Elvis' suite at the Hilton and sang gospel songs all night. Tom said they were never allowed to record any of those sessions or anthing else because Col. Parker, Elvis' manager, would not allow it.
