Yesterday was Sir Tom Jones' birthday 🥳 What did you think of Sir Tom and Peter's duet? ✌️
Amazing performance that made me tear up. His dad is with him and guiding him on his journey.
Happy birthday Tom Jones 💓 💖 💛 💗 💕
Amazing performance. Happy Birthday Sir Tom 😍
Have seen this maybe 20 times now and it still makes me cry happy tears. What a moment. What a legend Tom Jones is. What a talent Peter is. Magic!
what a magical moment indedd, beatiful, sir Tom Jones is having still a great career, love him
I know everyone keeps saying this was such a magical moment for Peter, but think how amazing it must have made Tom feel as well. He is in his 80's, and has had (still has?) A long wonderful career in music, but as an old man it was probably so wonderful for him to sing with an old friend's son. He will always remember that for the rest of his life.

And what a powerful voice he still has...hasn't lost a note !!
Agreed! I always loved Tom and he still has it! ❤️
It's very touching 🥺
The way Tom looked at Peter singing it’s like he saw his old friend. You can just see it in his eyes. Special moment for both.
I commented this more or less on tiktok...
Yes I saw this as well. Two generations, one song.
IKR? I got chills ❤
Yess.. me too.a setup, but a wonderfull setup. He knew peter . Nevertheless, very enjoyable show.
Amazing ❤❤❤
The love in toms eyes when he sang with him was like 2 old friends who lost touch reconnected for just a moment ❤ that hits the soul different ❤❤
Hello amazing fan.
It has come to my notice that some of my fans thinks I was the person who died. Late jones was The one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer John Donald Robb.
He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon. I’m still alive and much healthy.
Thanks dear fan…
Man, 80 years old, and Tom's voice still carries like that.
My dad fave singer ❤️
Not many people can maintain a voice like that! Bravo!!!!
As Tom said despite his age, his career is still going and he hasn't stopped singing and its use it or lose it.
That is true, excellent 🌹❣️
He is the GOAT. The man is absolutely a timeless treasure.
Sir Tom is literally like a fine wine. Gets better and better with age.
My thoughts exactly!
literally
Luckily I'm a man, phew!
You mean his voice ?
No it's not true sir Tom was far better in his prime
What a professional band. After hearing the first verse, the band comes right in and follows along!
Yeah, noticed that and also, just for an instant at 9:03, the look on the bands directors face when he knew the duo had aced it.
wow . . . wow Mr. TJ is still the best of the best of I'll never fall in love again. 💛his vocal is still like 1967 that he had! Respect!!!! 🙏
Absolutely amazing
Unlike many artists, Tom hasn’t lost a single bit of his voice.
What a special tone Tom has. Very unique and so strong too. Incredible thing to see.
Amazing to hear him sing that well at 78 years old! Absolutely incredible.
Men don't really start losing their voice until they are in their 80's/90's as long as they keep using it.
Women lose it so much earlier even when they use it regularly. It's really not fair.
I would say he is an old-school singer. One of the best one, and last one.
It shows how he’s looked after it over the years.
This has to be one of the most magical moments on the Voice.

God bless Tom.
First, he's a great singer. Second, he's a tremendous musician to pull off a live duet with no rehearsal.
Absolutely, his composure and calmness was awesome😊
Both of them are! What a beautiful moment.
You guys are forgetting the band coming in at the end!
@@jonmiller19845 I couldn't agree more. It made the end very impactful.
You need to go watch Peter's video about how this worked.
I love that Tom chose this moment to give tribute to his friend by singing a duet with his son. Something he might not have been able to do when he died.
It was awesome. Honoring someone is great but honoring his son as well, WOW!
Because if he died he be dead :\
Tom needs to be kinder to his own son, he is an awful father

What a precious moment, especially for his Mom.
I mean her beloved Husband wrote the Song in 1967 for Tom Jones and now her Son sings it together with him. A very special moment.
Yes it was special but Lonnie wrote it for himself and put his own record out in 1962. Tom mis-remembered this.

Amazing
It can't be overstated just how important Lonnie was in Brit Rock/Pop with so many wannabes first picking up a guitar to emulate him, the Beatles et al. Remember, Lennon had first started with skiffle and Macca joined him. He set so many on the road to stardom.
I think thats a sister..
I've been listening to Tom Jones since I was 13 years old, I'm now 71. He's still has a fantastic voice.

What a wonderful moment, for both! I’ve always LOVED this song. Peter has a wonderful voice too. I remember Lonnie. Me and my dad (I’M now 76) had 78’s Pye label with Lonnie and his band singing. He did humorous records too. Such and energetic singer was Lonnie. Loved his Skiffle too. Great great days! Hope Peter is doing well and Tom now in his eighties, is incredible 👏👏👏👌👌👌🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘⚡️⚡️⚡️
The way Sir Tom looks at him while he sings, and plays the piano you can tell he is seeing his father in him! And he looks proud!❤️
Just look at Tom's eyes... He is trying so hard to not cry, but I couldn't stop myself. Great performance from both of them.
I seen the 2020 version of Tom Jones singing it and saying how he didn't pick him like people thought he was it was set up so he picked him but he had no idea
There was a moment when his voice cracked; choked-up, clearly. And then I lost it here, too.
@@marshaneedham880 Peter said the same in his video, that Tom didnt knew who was behind him before he said his lastname.. And I do believe him. But yeah its allmost too good to be true :)

Kenny I saw Tom a while ago and he sings the same as if he was twenty you cannot beat a welsh man’s voice wow
Hearing Mr. Jones sing that way and without a microphone, is something indescribable; what a way to sing and what power of voice...my respects.
Well, he has a microphone, it's a body mic. That little thing attached to his coat is a body mic, used so his voice is picked up without having to carry one of those big mics around, or worry about a table mic breaking on the turning chair
@Corbyn Wow bet you are fun during a magic momment.
He still has the power, tone and chops.

@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
When Lonnie Donegan wrote "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" for Sir Tom Jones more than half a century ago, he could have never had imagined this magical scene happening five decades later. His son fatefully encounter on the Voice the legend Sir Tom, for whom this piece was written, and they instantly perform with no rehearsal at all, yet with absolute amazement, as it was meant to be. This beautiful song became a true legacy from Lonnie not only to Peter and Sir Tom Jones, but to all of us who were mesmerized by their magical performance. Truly a moment to remember and pay my respects to all.
And Tom Jones turned...Like he recognize a voice of his old friend and way of singing ... Magical
A mistaken memory here from Tom. Lonnie Donegan had written AND recorded the song five years before Tom's version but it had bombed in the UK charts. Some years later after Tom hit the big time they became friends and at Lonnie's house near London, he pulled out his old record and said "you should do this" Rest is history.
Not gonna lie...I was already mush from the video, but your words made me even mushier lol.Brilliant.
Super great stuff

@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
This man is Icon, Legend. You can see it in Toms eyes when he is looking at Peter..this is a moment they will treasure forever. Tom, that is why you are a Sir.
Meanwhile, Tom lets his own son starve and be homeless because Tom feels like his Son's mom swindled him. That has nothing to do with the son and Tom should help the poor boy who literally has to busk in the streets. Tom gives one son everything and the other one nothing. So mean...

That's why they are called session musicians...professional. Knowing every song is part of their job.
@@Sus_editzzz25 The contestants registered the songs they'll perform so the band will practice before the show. Of course, they'll surely knows many songs through experience which makes it easier for them and practice only to make sure there's no slip up during the real show. But, other than the contestant's audition performance the band is really awesome to know and perform songs that are not even planned to be performed at first. Maybe a bit improv that deviate from the original to match the singers but even so it is really awesome.
@@joshuaamadeusishak1887 Also some of the musicians in this band regularly tour with Tom Jones so that helps too ;-) They are some of the best session Musicians in London - Scott Mckeon, Ben Jones and Ash Soan
@@joshuaamadeusishak1887 Not to mention that the producers knew who Peter's father was (it was in his video bio) and will have known that Tom performed one of Lonnie's songs, so would likely have forewarned them. I'd guess that Peter also practiced it in advance of the audition on the off-chance that a situation like this might come up.
As an aside, without wanting to sound conspiratorial, watching the way that the other judges were encouraging Sir Tom to hit the button without hitting their own does suggest that even if Sir Tom hadn't been briefed, perhaps they had. Particularly when you consider Will's comment about this being "magical" came across as a little bit forced. Sir Tom's apparent surprise at Peter's comment about playing it on the piano does, at least, suggest that Sir Tom himself wasn't briefed in advance.

I like how the contestant finally saud "F^$# It" though and let himself go ahead to do his own thing with Sir Jones.
That seriously made me cry, what a beautiful tribute to his dad. That was so hard for mum, she’s probably never fallen truly in love again as she did for Lonnie.
Same
Imstill sobbing
Absolutely
I cried a lot
same here
Wonderful Story with two wonderful singers and Humans. Thank you.
Mind Blowing !!!!!! beautiful moment for Peter and i'm sure the same for SIR TOM
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
This wasn't just magical, it's was one of the most incredible moments ever to happen.. Wow what a moment.
Absolutely, tremendous!
This is the duet in the Voice that will be remembered for a long, long time. Tom Jones, you are incredible not only as a singer but as a man with a kind, humble and grateful heart. Peter Donegan, your composer-friend's son, and his family will treasure this magical moment for the rest of their lives.
This was an incredible moment. If you wrote it in a script, no one would believe it.
Tom truly has one of the best voices EVER
No doubt this is the greatest moment I've ever seen on a talent show.
Same
I love how Peter says "That's my Dad" with a lot of proud and love! This audition made me cry 💕
me too
@@erikhoppenbrouwers3036 Tom knew before he hit his button who it was. It's pathetic to try and fool us into thinking this was all spontaneous.
@@baz810 bitter
@@baz810 Haha....keep telling yourself that....chill
Yes, made me cry too!!! Beautiful moments!❤
When the Magic happens no one can explain. His father was around making that moment perfect.
That was the best ❤️
It's true❤️
Sr.Tom chose the person to turn his chair around for, it was magic and beautiful to watch and hear them sing together.
Sir Tom stood up to honor how friend , Peter 's father
Peter’s smile when Tom was telling him a story about his dad 🥺🥺🥺🥺

So true 💞
Jennifer Hudson is in awe of Sir Tom - such a humble lady given her status as a phenomenal singer! 😀
that sent chills. just pure natural talent. can not teach nor learn it.
One of the best moments ever on any version of The Voice.
Truly heartwarming to see the beautiful exchange between the two musicians with a father & songwriter in common.
I'll second that emotion!
What a truly beautiful moment. Tom's voice gets better and better
No. On TV period.
@@rogerlephoque3704 I agree!
The look Tom gives him when he starts singing at the piano is so beautiful. He's so proud for this man and probably sees his father in him
I am so glad that it was only Tom that turned around like it was meant to be
Magical moment really amazing
TOM,, BESTIA CON SU VOS,,INIGUALABLE....OJALA LO TENGAMOS X MUCHOS AÑOS MAS
yeah i saw that right as the flood gates opened. that was tremendous
@@jasondamrau9147 Those other judges don't understand "real music".
The way Tom looked at Peter was priceless.
Tom Jones voice is unbelievable, it's out of this world
That wasn't an audition, that was a pure magical moment. As I'm typing, he said the words I was going to type so I guess I won't do it. That had me in tears. I had a crush on Tom Jones back in the early 70's. His career was hot at the time, and he proved here that he still has that same beautiful voice from so long ago.
Wow, wow and Wow
Been playing this several times, love the duet. Glad Tom pressed the bottom, that was a pure real moment ! Thanks to both of you !
Awesome
