Not sure how I feel about the others, but Steve Downes as Kopaka is INSPIRED and not something I would've thought of at all, but his voice really does have a coldness to it, like ice being chipped away, and his work on Halo 4 proves he can deliver the emotion as well

If bionicle ever gets some recognition like a show ever again, I’d gladly have these be the voices
If Gali is gonna be ANYONE, it’s gotta be Tara Strong. And that’s great, cuz Tara is literally what made my childhood.
Good Choices. If it were me, i'd keep all the cast the same as the "Mask of Light" as I enjoyed every voice actor's performance to the point where I can't imagine anyone else voicing those roles.

Nolan North would be a perfect Tahu. Also, Tara Strong is Gali in my head forever.
Kevin Michael Richardson is great as characters like Onua and Panthro. Although I think Sean Schemmel would be better as Lewa.
I don’t know why I was surprised when I saw Tara here. She plays everyone 😂
Like most of these choices! Only thing I would do is shift Sean Schemmel to Lewa. I feel Pohatu should have a deeper voice. Maybe John DiMaggio
Tahu: Nolan North or Scott McNeil, either work, I guess.
Gali: You know, before Mask of Light came out, I’d probably have agreed on Tara Strong, but as it is, I can never hear Gali’s words coming from anyone but Kathleen Barr. You really feel the noble wisdom in the depth of her voice.
Pohatu: Again, think I prefer the Mask of Light version. Trevor Devall all the way.
Kopaka: Okay, this one I can get behind. Michael Dobson was good at portraying Kopaka’s analytical coldness in Mask of Light, but I think Downes would do that just as well as him, _and_ deliver Kopaka’s more compassionate moments better.
Onua: I think this one is worth a shot. I don’t hate Scott McNeil’s performance in Mask of Light, though I admit it was a bit cartoonishly deep. This sounds a little more… reasonable, shall we say.
Lewa: Nothing against Josh Keaton, but I thought Dale Wilson did phenomenal in Mask of Light. I dunno what accent Wilson was going for, but whatever it was, it was Lewa. Maybe I just don’t feel a flat-out American accent is suited to the character.
Makuta Teridax: Sorry, but as much as I loved Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, I just don’t believe there will ever be a Makuta Teridax better than Lee Tockar.
So yeah, I know that I drew a lot of comparisons to the Mask of Light movie - which I know isn’t any masterpiece of film - but I think comparisons were inevitable. These were just mine.
On a side note, two other suggestions;
1) Ron Pearlman (doing his Slade voice from Teen Titans) as either the Shadowed One or Makuta Antroz.
2) Bill Nighy (doing his Davy Jones voice) as Kalmah, though it might be a bit of an inside joke.
Yeah I like Lewa’s voice too. Sounds ASMR-ish and it does fit the whole forest theme with him of being peaceful and such
Or maybe Scott McNeil as The Shadowed One since Scott’s Twin Master voice from Hero 108 voice does kinda fit the Shadowed One’s villainous personality (I think)
@@nickytembo4112 Never heard his Twin Master voice, so if you want to link us a clip, that would help. I might even agree. As you’ll see in a comment I made in a later video, though, I changed my mind; I recommend Pearlman for Makuta Antroz, and George Newbern doing his Sephiroth voice for the Shadowed One.
INFINITYCHILD I look up Hero 108 Season 2 episode 1 on UA-cam to look up Twin Masters as Scott McNeil is his VA and I think it fits Icarax too
Mask of Light can’t be compared to movies like The Lion King or Fantasia, but it’s a great watch

These are good especially for a more 2D animated show, but the voices from the original movies are still unbeatable to me.

I don't agree with Tahu, but at least it's better than what we got. I love the other ones though.
Oh, and The Marvel Master, can you post the links of the clips you got the voices from? I already know goku's voice for Pohatu, I just need the rest.
I don't think so, but I can tell you the original sources. the pohatu voice is Goku from Dragon ball super, Kopaka is Master Chief in Halo: the fall of reach, Onua 1:14-1:22 is panthro from the earlier thundercats show, Lewa's voice came from the flash in Justice League: crisis on 2 earths, and Makuta was from smaug from The Hobbit: the desolation of smaug, I have no clue where Tahu and Gali's came from, I just looked up random voice clips for each actor and chose the ones that sounded the best.

@@fracerman1 I find no issue with that as that Lewa wasn't supposed to be *the* Lewa but *a* Lewa as every generation of Toa in G3 would take on the names of the original ones so "Lewa" in G3 would basically just mean "a Toa of Air"

Not to diss the Toa Nuva's voice actors in Mask of Light, but there are some pretty nice contenders if the ORIGINAL series were to be made into a proper animated series. My one contention would be Sean Schemmel; after hearing how much of a pretentious douchebag he is from recent events, Pohatu deserves someone better!
Might I suggest Tom Kenny (from when he was the narrator in Powerpuff Girls), Michael Rosenbaum (the Flash from Justice League Unlimited), Kyle Herbert, Johnny Yong Basch, Jason Marsden, Dee Bradley Baker, Kirby Morrow, or Bumper Robinson?
