Their so called Baltic fleet would become submarines very quickly.
I'm impressed with all the internet warriors (trolls) come up with. First, Estonia and Finland are accused of blowing up the Nordstream pipeline. I suppose that's what they mean when the "warriors" say they started it. Both countries are then accused of not having investigated the explosion and found no one responsible for the explosion. No, the Nordstream explosion happened in the economic zone of Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Therefore, no one other than them has the right to investigate the incident, except for the owners. They have already figured out who blew up Nordstream. The answer is on the Internet if you search. For those of you who can't bear to look, I can say that it was none of the five countries I mentioned.

Yes the Russians. The United Federation of Fascists used Ukrainian traitors to destroy the pipeline. Like a jealous lover Chukchi Putin decided. "If I can't have it nobody can" because they pipeline was NEVER going to be used again.
92% Russia. Motive? Check. At the time of the explosion, Putin had already decreed that he would stop sending gas to Europe/Germany in order to "teach" them a lesson in humility, expecting a cold winter the following year. However they were bound by a contract to supply gas until 2032, with the only escape clause being a "force majeure" that would prevent them from doing so. Enter this "accident". Means? Check. A few months prior Russian special ops were observed docked for an extended time in the area of the explosion. It wouldn't be much of a stretch of imagination that they were diving down to plant explosives on the pipe, which they could later trigger at will. (Very much like what they later did at the Nova Kohovka dam in Ukraine). Also it just fits their general malevolent pattern. Russia's leadership put a lot of effort into creating general chaos in the west, be it amplifying dissent by infiltrating political groups or by actual destructive behaviors. Very much like the "Death Eaters" from Harry Potter, Russians are.

Defence forces were assisting by giving a helicopter ride, but it was the police and border guard that boarded the ship and not by the military as was implied. The matter was handled by ministry of interior, and not by FDF.
It was such a mystery for the EU when the gas pipe lines were severed. More than three years later, despite the many thorough investigations by the EU, they are none the wiser. If you see the data from the ships AIS transponders, it is very apparent that the damage is intentional. What is going on with shipping’s channel covers this well.
It is easy to prove. Transponder data, no other ships in area that time. Ships speed slowed down at the moment of anchor dragging, and it even lost the anchor. Coast guard saw when it was pulling up empty anchor chain.

There's an easy way to stop this... lay out old ship anchor chain attached to lengths of old hawser wire .. pay it out on the sea bed parallel to the power cables and the communications cables.. no ship captain will take the chance to drag his own anchor on the seabed in case he gets it fouled up .. guaranteed to work
Extremely expensive to build and ineffective. Most saboteur ships already have lost their anchors. Besides, the chain is much weaker in sideways direction, so it would snap first

It is easily done, Denmark and Sweden can enforce this easily at the Swedish-Danish straits. Russia couldn't do much about it other than scream and shout like big babies.
