- The day of fishing started tough. However, that all changed when I picked up a little micro chatterbait. I drove over to MI to meet up with the guys from Aggressively Average Anglers and Ethan from Fish anything. We fished a couple of lakes, had a bunch of laughs, and made some fun memories!

Heck yea! One reason I like all of your channels and I keep going back to them and watching the older stuff is that we can relate to you guys. Plus its entertaining to watch and very kid friendly. Just the other day I was watching a video and my daughter said 'Daddy grow your beard out like Debo's. You already look like Jeff" the things kids say sometimes :-)
It kind of makes sense that those smaller lures are very successful, it's probably more the size of what most of the fish have access to eat, even as the fish get bigger.

I recently got into fishing and picked up a basic yak and love my bfs ultra light fishing pond hopping and stuff, ripping little 1 lbs with my micro stuff specially the micro chatter and nano frogs
Loved watching all three videos and getting several different points of view. Great stuff!
BFS is great for downsized conventional lures like chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, hard plastic lures. JDM has a lot of unique miniature glide baits, hover/mid strolling hard and soft plastics, slow sinking hard plastics like the Karashi. Z-man also has a lot of domestic lures for BFS. Glad the Burly brothers got you on the right track. For me it's not necessarily about making small fish feel big or being able to cast 3 gram or less. It's about getting more bites big and small bass on pressured waters.
Braid to leader is the way to go with BFS. And check your leader often.
YES! Love it! I got into BFS last year in 23’ and it’s all I want to do anymore. Although it’s not always the best way to target fish; certainly is a lot of fun.

Pick up some Under Armour heat gear leggings to wear under your shorts. Super light and breathable, dry super fast, feels like you are just wearing shorts. Keeps you from having to sunblock four times a day.
Have you managed to stand on your yak yet? It's definitely one of the most stable ones on the market

BFS is super fun. I don't get caught up in the super light stuff. I stick to 1/8 T-rigs , 3/16 crankbaits, dropshot , and wacky rigs on my BFS combos.
Such a good group. Not that I wish frustrating times on the water on anyone, but it’s nice to see those reminder moments in videos. Like all social media, sometimes it’s difficult to remember everyone has those frustrating times fishing, it’s not always the highlight reels we see.

You can order a side plate for a shimano reel not sure what they cost though.

I'm not arguing that bfs doesn't work. It does. However, i can't justify spending that money when i already have an ultralight spinning combo that does the same for a fraction of the price.
Great video and loved the collaboration. The tiny bladed jigs looked like all kinds of fun. And by all accounts you guys are the genuine articles. Fun, goofy 🤪 😜 🙃 and the right mix of corny. Hope you are able to do more of these in the future. Blessings
Debo needs to get on the micro jigs! Keitech makes one that’s great for bfs. Pairs great with the burro bug from mule fishing!!!
I spent to damn many years catching small fish, after catching a 10 lb. rainbow in California, I decided to go to bass fishing, Just recently caught my 1st bass of any size, almost a 4 pounder, I'm a patient fisherman, I'll stick to going big, but I can see, you enjoyed it, and thats what counts Right ?
Great video ! Downsizing def works. I tried it last year with 2” baits and it was a blast. This year I’m trying the upsize route. Bites are fewer but I’m catching above average fish for my area.
The small big bite baits is Parr of bbb crappie line. I have a few myself and their small minnow shaped crappie stuff too.
Currently on vacation in Wilmington area North Carolina. Caught a 4 pounder on day one, nothing today but a swamp puppy tried to grab my frog.
Maybe try having a cam on a pole in the back of the kayak for a bird’s eye view (just a suggestion, of course you probably need a hand held remote to operate it )

Micro is one of my confidence baits when fishing overseas as well. Don’t think game fish see a vibrating jig that often, and that finesse presentation is even more money.

I am sold on the bfs craze just yet. I can see the fun in it but the dams i fish here in South Africa just have too much grass in them to fish a light setup like bfs.

They’re expensive on eBay. Micro chatterbait is another good option.
