Well, after just listening to your latest story 'Old Folks', I was pleased to learn that 'The Vault' is indeed related. Being an older man its nice to know that my memory is still functioning. Both great stories and thanks for the continuity.
This alone - this story is among the best sci-fi, among the best stories, I have ever read/heard. I look forward to more great stories - I have heard others not in the list, the best "Almost Human", I think its called. Amazing work. ❤❤❤

I just want to say that I recognize your talents. Thanks for making a story that was able to occupy my brain for a while. I will continue to chew on your ideas with my synapses as it is a worthy endeavor to examine our collective balancing act of potential versus stasis.
Very cool! I wasn't expecting the prompt to be useable as an origin story for an existing character. I enjoyed the dynamic of the Vault acolytes siding with Ali against Verona (not to mention their own senses) when she claimed he'd misattributed the Cave Allegory to Aristotle. Their orthodox culture and their faith in Ali over themselves were really interesting elements of the story. Thanks for the stories and all the hard work you're putting into them!
Was very positively suprised of the story. love the mix of increddible deepness and easy to understand the author must be increddibly good in expressing those ideas he threw at us
@@TheyCalledMeT Ha! Thanks, T! Yes, I am the author as well. I get the feeling that this transformation obviously doesn’t completely separate one from their human nature… making their back stories extremely relevant to what and who they become after the metamorphosis. And makes his hesitation to leave Verona quit interesting … Would love to understand why? What about his backstory led to him to crush so hard on Verona and made him strong enough to survive the transformation. Why after his transformation he was so ready to kill the uncle yet once he realized the edis Ali was back on line he bounces with him

Thanks, Michael! It's tough to say exactly, because I edit a lot on the text copy as I go, and I make slight changes when I record that copy and edit the audio toward the end of the week too. I typically do three passes with my eyes on the text copy. Then I do two passes using one of the little-known and highly underutilized features in Word--the "Read aloud" button. It's very robotic compared to a good AI, but it's a great tool, because the ear catches so much more than the eye would. Then I have my Kindle read it to me again. All told, between first draft and final read, I'd say between 7 to 10 passes.
