No disrespect to this guitarist in the video, because he can put play me on guitar but he’s not playing some parts correctly in a couple of the songs. But maybe he learns them by ear because I’ve always learned songs by ear but a lot of times I would play something that sounds the same or really close to the real way but it’s harder than the actual way I noticed when learning them by ear. But also a lot of tabs aren’t correct either
My man, I'm old. Will turn 50 in July. With that in mind also know that I saw RR way back in the day once, and was holding tickets in hand for Diary of a Madman tour date in Portland Oregon 1982 when the plane went down in March. I saw Brad Gillis, and it was tough, but that dude played admirably under tough conditions. So I'm here to comment as a dude who knows what it was...... Anyway, nice work. Really, really nice. Took me back over 30 years and is a pretty damn awesome tribute set. Keep up the shred!
Sorry u never saw Randy play.I never did either. He died way too soon.I saw Ozzy with Jake E.Lee -Motley-and Accept play a show in Louisville 84.I was in metal heaven that day.
Best cover vid ive ever seen!! You are truly amazing kid.Just stay away from drugs and alcohol and the sky will be your limit on how far u will go with ur music. You have a special gift from God that needs to be nurtured and protected.Trust what i say kid and have patience.I have NO dout you are headed for stardom.I know music VERY well and u have it.Youre special.
I still have my ticket for the show in Orlando, Florida the week of the crash. Of course Ozzy didn’t perform, Pat Travers performed in his spot. It was gonna be my first time to see Ozzy and Randy. What a sad day when I heard the news right before I was gonna go see them. I’m so glad you shared this tribute, it was a great watch. I can appreciate the finger work of Randy’s creation through your fingers. Thanks.
You made an aging RR fan very happy today! Excellent I mean really excellent playing. I studied Randy for lot of years. Your playing style looks very fluid just like his was. That's not taught or learned from practice, it comes from feel and from inside. It's a gift and anyone commenting that disagrees never played guitar before. Play on man
I bet the dislikes are people who dont buy into the Randy Rhoads bullshit! Rhoads never ever makes the top ten of guitar greats or is he in the Rock n Roll hall of fame so what's that tell ya....that says the Majority dont buy into the Rhoads bullshit oh by the way its 60 dislikes now.....stop trying to make Rhoads out to be something he wasn't his style of playing wasn't new to anyone.....
I don't know why Randy haters feel the need to go to all of the videos about him and talk shit, I've seen that @Angelo j Richetti guy on multiple Randy videos talking shit about him, here's a tip if you don't like something, you don't have to try and make everyone else feel the same, go fuck off and stop trying to ruin our fun.
I would imagine it's because he's not playing all the parts correctly, some chord voicings are incorrect and important notes are missing from riffs and licks. To quote a poster above it's almost as if this is the way a metallica fan would play 'in the style of' Randy.
Как заядлый любитель исполнять Mr.Crowley могу отметить прекрасное звукоизвлечение, прекрасные бенды, атаку, чувство мелодии. Но чуточку поплыл на теппинге. Крутейшая подборка! Молодец!
If I had UA-cam back in the 80’s, I would be a guitar player in a band, but there would be a “band boom” where every kid would have a band too and playing guitar much better than me.., great job, enjoy your youth and cherish every second of it!
Man, I lived in Knoxville, Tn back in 1982, when Randy passed away. I was 8 yrs old. I couldn't believe what I was seeing on the news. Mister, you did a great job on this tribute to Randy. Your smooth. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. A lot of people play it. I give them props. However, you nailed it. Great job !
Your Dean sounds the best next to the LP. Great job Brother. Been a Randy fan all my life. Watching the solo on Revelation brought a tear to my eye, how Great he really is (was). You picked the right guitarist to be your influence. Enjoyed Watching!!
Nice !I'm in a Ozzy Tribute band Madman's Diary and i have studied the music hard I play BASS and I have seen Randy with Ozzy in 82 when I was a kid.You capture the sound and tone excellent and you have the feel Love it ! Keep On Rockin My Brother!
yeah Randys tone was actually better than on the ozzy tribute to Randy rhodes album .. I listened to it first probably before producer and it sucked .. king biscuit flower hour (ozzy concerto from 82) kills. only randys guitar ,a bass and drums no over dubs raw even mistakes no fake.. most peoples nuts size are grapes .. not apes
It good to see you have hair flopping around now. Just get here to California and you can play guitar . Then the next real Metal band can start! I'm serious! Just so you know,Randy was my neighbor, I knew him for a few years before I took lessons from him. I was about 14 ,and when he took the Ozzy gig,I had no idea he would become so big so fast ! I knew he was great ,and given the chance, he could become the next big guitar hero! So ,having known him personally, and still in touch with his family, I want to put a band together ,again, after this film project and finish recording my next release, you really should contact me , I think you would fit perfectly into what I'm doing. I just need to know a few things of course, like, age and what do you look like. Think about it! You are a good player ,but a lot of these players never do anything, it's up to you!
I was at the Atlanta concert, the Diary of a Madman tour. March 17th 1982 it was awesome!!! we had awesome seats I stood right in front of Randy it was amazing! of course we had no idea that he would be gone 36 hours later. great tribute to Randy my friend!!! Randy is the reason I started playing the guitar! I would listen to those two albums over and over again!
You definitely did some serious justice to Randy! The best cover of Randy’s genius I’ve heard to date. Your tone, smoothness, fluidity and performance was incredible 10/10🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Very very nice, you did all these immortal songs just as well or better than I've seen anyone else on here play them. Randy Rhoads will never have an equal 🤘 R. I. P. Mr. Rhoads...
Fantastic. I agree that Randy is such an inspiration with his mastery of technique, melody and flair. You play so well, and what a lovely Les Paul, I'm in awe. Good day to you sir, indeed.
Absolute best damn non professional RR cover I've ever heard. I'm a major fan and have heard many try over the years, some good and not so good, but this has to be the best I've heard hands down.
This the best damn randy rhodes tribute that I ever heard . This brotha killed that shit and nailed that shit to perfection . Randy rhodes would be proud to hear this tribute without a doubt .
chills man... especially that Mr. Crowley solo..... you definitly got Randy's fingers, and really captured the spirit of what I loved about his playing...!
Anyways, bickering aside. I to saw/heard Randy on the DOAM tour in Phoenix. Mom & Dad drove me thru a friggin' blizzard to get me there, & I will never know how to repay them, ever. Anywho,, you definitely have the chops. Keep that stuff Alive, man!
i'm just not sure how anyone could down vote this vid??? I love sarge994rock's modesty ; ). If this is a "small tribute", I will definitely hold out to see stellar awesomeness! This dude shreds!!!!
I have been Randy Rhoads fan since the early 80’s and a student of the guitar for close to 40 years. You are one of the closest I have seen to getting Randy’s style down to a very close similarity. Great job bro! Now my criticism, Randy never wanted anyone to copy anyone else, develop your own style and take what you have learned from him to a new level. You are a very talented guitar player, don’t waste it and be satisfied with copying Randy.
Nothing less than spectacular man! RR forever! You rocked his solos so well! He was a huge inspiration for me when I started playing! You rock man!!!! I’ve watched this 4 times already!
Sure, when finished to a fine edge! LOL. Didn't find your backing tracks? I hit the link but it goes to your FB page? Am I to friend you to hear them. there are backing tracks on UA-cam also but I'm not sure which sound better? I've a JEMFP I made , but it's a pain to drop a 1/2 step. Need a Digitech Whammy DT, it drops guitars a Hal step or a whole step till you hit an octive! Plus the cool high pitch pull up like Satch, just using the expression pedal! Just won a Godin Multiac on eBay! Wacky tunings, here I come! EG: Jimmy Page! I remember when I was able to play Diary all the way through! What a feeling!! I am also a Rhoads FANATIC!!
Huge Randy fan. I find his musical talents has influenced so many players for the short time we had him. Your tribute was awesome. Beautiful playing from start to end. Thanks for sharing with us.
Anyone who dislikes this video is nuts. Sarge captures Randy's sound, style and energy almost like a clone. Thanks man, would love to be able to do what you can.
Very impressive. Your playing would make Randy Rhoads proud. The tone, technique and timing were spot on. The only difference(s) between your playing and Randy's would be the subtle nuances that only Mr. Rhoads could inflect in his playing; the very thing that makes a piece of music his own. That might not sound like it but that is a compliment lol. Okay, I'll just shut up now.
Wow, this is the most amazing Rhodes tribute I've ever heard! you, my friend have incredible talent! Love it! Keep rockin and thank you for giving us great covers!
There is another guy who can play awesome. His name is Maciej Stelmach. something like that. He plays the best tribute to Jake E. Lee I have ever seen. This guys here is other worldly. they both play phenomenal
This guy is one of the only ones on you tube actually playing the randy licks pretty fuckin close to how randy intended them to sound
MATT STANLEY is good as well.
Randy Chambers is the shit!!
Bro your acoustic intro literally choked me up.....I was a 14yr old boy again...
I'm 50.....thank you so much for this incredible Randy tribute.
My man, I'm old. Will turn 50 in July. Thank you so much for the kind words
Ya, that was about 36 years ago when Blizzard of Oz was released. If you were 18, you old be an old rocker of 54 today.
Always Forever Young !
it was bernie torme on guitar. i saw the 1st show after randy died and it sucked! ozzy didnt go near that side of the stage and bernie wasnt good!
Same as Me I'm 52 and saw Randy in 81 and then I saw one of the first shows with Brad filling in.
Boston Garden 1982.
Sorry u never saw Randy play.I never did either. He died way too soon.I saw Ozzy with Jake E.Lee -Motley-and Accept play a show in Louisville 84.I was in metal heaven that day.
Randy was a genius!
This guy does an excellent job playing his music!

I still have a hard time accepting that he's gone. 😢 This guy practiced a lot to get this down like he did. Bravo Brother 💯
Those 28 dislikes are probably people who picked up a guitar and gave up without trying.
Slayer and Metallica fans who have no clue what a solo should sound like.
I bet the dislikes are people who dont buy into the Randy Rhoads bullshit! They were so inspired by the playing that they began to use their phone as a guitar and hit dislike as they "hammered on".
I would imagine it's because he's not playing all the parts correctly, some chord voicings are incorrect and important notes are missing from riffs and licks.
To quote a poster above it's almost as if this is the way a metallica fan would play 'in the style of' Randy.
109,971 views and only 2200 likes, what's wrong with you people?. Great job man, well done.

Incredible playing. Love the sound of that Les Paul.

I've watched this time and time again and every time I do I'm more amazed at how amazing you are! I'd love to see Ozzy's reaction to this
Love how you made these solos your own. You captured the intensity beautifully which is sadly missing with most Rhoad’s covers.
WOW, From Thailand , You play so amazing , We love you brother
Sweet playing Sarge...People need to see how good Randy Rhoads was. One my favorite guitarists.
You definitely did some serious justice to Randy! The best cover of Randy’s genius I’ve heard to date. Your tone, smoothness, fluidity and performance was incredible 10/10🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

You put time into that and it showed ..Thank you much!!
That was something else. I'm a bit misty eyed here. Very well done indeed.
Awesome!! Would love to hear you do this same thing with Michael Schenker "UFO" solos!!
Fantastic. I agree that Randy is such an inspiration with his mastery of technique, melody and flair. You play so well, and what a lovely Les Paul, I'm in awe. Good day to you sir, indeed.

Awesome Sarge994Rock!!! I'm a huge Randy Rhoads fan and think he was one of the very greatest guitarists whoever lived. I miss him dearly.
Very impressive. Your playing would make Randy Rhoads proud. The tone, technique and timing were spot on.
