Crevices create more surface area for breading, which results in a crispier end product; they also create little pockets for more sauce/seasoning to get into.
A good tip is to substitute half duck fat w/ a neutral oil to add extra richness to the sauce. A guy I worked with would do semi regular hot chicken pop ups and this was his technique.
@@chipperboi645 definately fine. Mentioned foodgasm and I guess that's the term which should've been mentioned here ? I have a passion for food , not only for eating but also for watching people create stuff and also do it myself and try new things so this makes complete sense I guess?
Years ago in my work cafeterias they had a plastic bottle with a sticker that said Frank's red hot sauce. I always thought it was made by someone on our cafeterias staff. One day I saw Frank's red hot sauce in the supermarket, and realized what our cafeterias sauce actually was.
Hey Matt, when I have tried making Nashville chicken in the past, I have an issue where I can't seem to get the seasoning to combine with the oil. Ant tips? Or is it not meant to combine?
maybe you added too much oil at first. start adding oil little by little while mixing it, make sure not to add too much oil and also make sure all of your seasonings are super dry.
As a European, if it is a burger or not depends on the bun. If there is a piece chicken in between two burger buns, then it‘s a chicken burger. There is no reason to call Popeye‘s chicken burger a „chicken sandwich“.
@@elitoni672 as someone from the west, something is defined as a burger when it uses a patty of any ground meat, (which people mostly just use ground beef as their ground meat option) and the type of buns don’t define whichever one it is (as in burger or sandwich)
Regular fried chicken needs seasoning, but if you're going to drench it in sauces, you don't need to season it. the sauce will cover up the seasoning taste regardless. so there is no point for seasoning.
The flower was seasoned, he drenched it in hot sauce and in another spicy sauce which was seasoned. Do you still think he didn’t season the damn chicken.
@Patrick Fakeman thanks been waiting for a reply this was a social experiment because i saw someone say “pov you are looking for the no seasoning comment”
Haven't seen one of your videos in quite a while but I really appreciate this one. Quite the stark difference compared to your old style. Just get rid of that over emphasized bite you took of that sandwich and it's perfect (chef's kiss)
The reason crevices are good is because it reminds us of Matt’s mother. There’s just so much to explore when where talking his mom. ❤️ all jokes Matt I do love u 😘
