I love everything about this song. The lyrics are superb, the chords I love and this is some of the best drumming of Tony. Too many Oasis song were wasted by being on B-sides. Thank god The Masterplan was released, otherwise songs like Fade Away, Listen Up, Talk Tonight, Headshrinker, Rockin Chair (the list goes on) wouldn't be nearly as known.
My interpretation of this is that despite all the wild fantasies we have as children about being astronauts and inventors and changing the world, they all fade away as we grow up to realise that we're just a normal part of society.
