I've been using the FIMI more than my DJI mini3 since I got it ,it was meant to be an inexpensive spare but has ended up replacing the DJI in most cases.
I believe I've seen a video of this drone next to the DJI 4K and it was better than the DJI. I have to admit that I was surprised to see it pro-form so good. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
I like Fimi.. had a few Fimi X8SE models, the original X8 Mini wasn't all that, but they have improved it over time. It only took 3 years to come out with the orange colored one LOL - it's a good Mini 4K Mini 2 alternative, assuming you get it on sale. They also have a super value Smart Controller that's programable, but It didn't support their Mini Model when I tried it a year or more back.
This is a great review of the Fimi Mini v3 drone! It seems like a great option for those looking for a sub-250g drone with a lot of features. The Al night mode and the 48 megapixel photos are particularly impressive. I also like that the drone comes with a carrying case and extra props. Overall, the Fimi Mini v3 seems like a great value for the price. It's definitely a drone to consider if you're in the market for a new sub-250g drone.
@@MiltonPapaioannou-qd7tf Crappy range ? I don't need more than the 5km it has as legally I cannot fly beyond vlos (UK CAA) Not sure how often most users of camera drones fly farther than 500m radius so it hardly seems an issue.

Hello there. Quite nice drone and thank you for the video. I have a couple questions for you and maybe i missed the answers if you already mentioned them. 1st, is this company reliable as to parts, apps etc, needed to keep on using it? (I have one now that i love, but they went out of business and i can't even find an app for it, in order to use it with current phones...) 2nd, can it be flown indoors for practicing and does it have obstacle avoidance? Please reply when you have time. Thank you.
Dji have set the standards so high it seems like it is hard to challenge. What is this new drone like in the long term ? what will the resale market be like when you want to upgrade?.
I think it's more like DJI had some control of the manufacturing in China in such a way it's had even for others to complete there. And since China is the main source of drones, it's going to be hard.
Any chance you know how much this can carry? Obviously like most drones it officially says "no carry weight" but hoping it could maybe carry 200g for 10 min or so.
Maybe you would like to think so ? But do you own both DJI and fimi ? Those that do will give you heaps of reasons but I will tire listing them ..!!! There are many reasons why I'll take it easy with my DJI models while I'll risk the fimi more times and there so damn dependable handle wind better and too many etc.. As for camera well they come second , but damn close there too
To make any drone "the best" they must eliminate the cell phone When you have a controller that has it all inside that makes a HUGE Difference because even today with such great tech many places cell phone use gets screwed up, signal loss , no signal and on and on that goes PLUS all cell phones can be tracked so even without RID your cell phone may as well be RID. I have a old FIMI A3 and the controller has everything in it. Of course it is not like all the newer FIMI's But it did pretty well and still can, It just did not have the range etc as the newer ones and it is larger and well above 250 gram so it would require a RID module today. Still a very good drone
The 48 MP photo is obviously interpolated. Why I do not know, but if it was a true 48 MP photo it would be much sharper and have better color saturation than the 12 MP photo.
I was quite surprised by how good the video and photo quality was on this drone. A big improvement over previous Fimi drones I have tested out. Great review Jack, and thanks for sharing.
Got three bad batteries in my “fly more package” - they light up when plugged in, but will never accept a charge. I have tried multiple cables, multiple charges of various vintages, PC USB ports, nothing works! Leave the battery for two days, the charge just drops a little more when plugged into the drone. This is unacceptable and I am returning it today!
I got this drone and it arrived today. I put in my 32gb sd card and it had a card read error. Tried formatting the card using the drone itself, and it ruined the card. So be careful when trying to format the card. Not sure what format the SD cards are supposed to use. Also, the version I got from amazon did not come with a charging brick.

Hi, I got this drone last week. Great drone but mine came with a dead pixel. I did hit a cardboard box in my garage when I did some initial tests and it turned upside down According to FIMI support, this VOIDED the warranty. I sent them the very first video and it shows the dead pixel but still the warranty is void. Btw, I tried to get their Care Refresh equivalent but that isn't offered on the FM3. Nice review. This one or the Atom? (almost same price)...as my first drone (beginner). Thanks in advance
I prefer this to the Atom. I prefer the Specta mini more than either
A nice option. It would be great if they could buy the rights to use the Nano+ camera in these since Autel has all but left the consumer market.
Seems to be a trend of companies suddenly dipping out of the consumer market once they are somewhat competitive to Dji.
We need smart controllers vs using our phones like DJI has already done...that would put them a big step in the right direction.
How do you compare this to spectra mini drone. Which is your preference and why? Thank you.
Specta is as good but cheaper.
What we NEED isn't another Chinese company trying to best DJI. We need a USA company to do so.
I’m with you. But until someone steps up this is what we have.
Well, start up that company mate!
Nah...China is cheaper
