That steady mode is a little too fast, and the video looks fantastic to me. A touch too dark but I think it's better than having it blown out or too faded. That version 3 is amazing when it comes to landing. While the other two versions are 2-3 feet away from the landing pad. I wish they made these with a bigger sensor. All honestly when it comes to the ban. I think it's illegal to do that. I mean, if the government is able to reimburse everyone for their DJI drones then by all means do what you want because they're going to try anyway. It's like can the government really take your car because they feel it's too dangerous, Really? Better yet can they take your cell phone because I personally think a cell phone is worse than a drone. It just doesn't seem right for the government to tell you or me what we can buy and what we can't. Where are our rights to anything. They say national security, but where's the proof. I think I took it a little too far, or maybe I didn't. Thanks for sharing JD. 👍👍👍
They could treat it like a 'mandatory gun buy back'. Basically the government would force someone with a Mavic 3 Pro to turn it in and then receive about $40, and if they don't they are a criminal.
I have Both. DJI Mini and the Fimi mini-3. I have to say that I would choose the DJI before the Fimi 3. The Fimi is cheaply made and two fragile. So, what if it's less expensive. The quality is incompatible.
Hi, nice review of the Fimi Mini 3, thanks for sharing. Fimi drones like round landing pads for precision landing. The Fimi Mini 3 stacked 1/2" sensor is great for low light videos.
Yes I believe fimi is the nexted best thing nexted Dji. I love my fimi x82020 .getting close to the giveaway for the dji fpv by all means absolutely take the fimi
Got three bad batteries with my drone - they light up when plugged in, but will never accept a charge. I have tried multiple cables, multiple charges of various vintages, PC USB ports, nothing works! Leave the battery for two days, the charge just drops a little more when plugged into the drone. This is unacceptable and I am returning the thing today!
I have a question. I will be a first time drone owner and I have been watching tons and tons of videos on UA-cam. My choices are between the Fimi Mini 3 and the Potensic Atom. Which one do you suggest that I should get? Thanks!!
I've got this drone for a month now. It's my first drone and it's great for a start. When I connect the phone to the controller, the phone goes into charging mode. I used different phones, Samsung xiaomi, not iPhone, and I debugged the phones as well, but it did not solve the issue. Any advice on this?
If Chinese drones are really a threat, banning just DJI is silly while allowing other Chinese drones in the market. Makes zero sense. The agricultural drones and larger drones that can carry out terror activities are the issue. Not small drones.
The size of the drones isn’t the issue. Building a large drones out of piece parts was and still is very common and would make more sense if “terror attacks” were the fear. The issue that the US government has is with DJI’s connections with the Chinese government and their data collection policies. They wanted DJI to separate itself from the PRC and the CCP and demonstrate that they have and that they are not collecting flight data from US users. Any ban really shouldn’t impact the everyday, private user of DJI drones, but US federal, state and local government entities will be banned from purchasing and using DJI drones for official business. Anything where the data collected could be used for espionage.
@@slipspectrum9253 Yes, but specifically the agricultural drones are their worry, if you read the document. But yes, size isn’t the only concern. Every company that resides in China is subject to the CCP. If their aim is collecting intelligence, they’re going to find a way. DJI is the focus because it has a larger audience that other companies. I’m just saying that banning DJI is silly in a sense, because no company in China has a choice as to their participation in intelligence gathering. So we wait until each Chinese company reaches critical mass, then ban one at a time? The whole thing is absurd. I don’t want any company to be banned. I wish we could all get along and not have to deal with this high stakes bs.
Yep trying to force us to buy drones that are more expensive and not as good. If they were sincere about producing great drones they would at least attempt to mostly copy DJI.. instead they’re trying to kill the big dog so they can take over IMO
Seriously, don't you want there to be any US or EU drone industry at all? The reason the skydio can't compete is because the Chinese government has given DJI technology that was stolen from our defense contractors. Think about it, how would China ever have surpassed the US, EU, Japan & Korea so fast. Ever heard about APT1 ? It's more than just a little serious.
Finally someone who knows. Skydio is best buddies with a politician that is pushing the DJI brand ban. By all means protest skydio and do not give them any of our money.
No goggles for this drone available, but you can slide your phone in one of those phone box goggles and see if that's working for you. Standard goggles on a drone like this would be great, for sure.
Unfortunately Fimi is still a Chinese company, a branch of Xiaomi. You can read all about how they have been illegally collecting data from their device users since 2020. I would love to see DC review a US made drone like the Skydio 2+.

How about the range of this drone Justin?
We need an American drone company that can make these things
Video inlay says 4k 60fps but it isn't it's 4k 30 in the app
Yes, Fimi's Normal mode is faster and more responsive than DJI Mini2/Mini4K.
can you use smart tracking with 12x zoom?

Other Chinese drone. Is USA going to band this one too in the future? I don't see drone made by USA
We might have to hit up Elon to start making drones too.
Senate dropped it today. Good news
The Fimi mini 3 it's much better than dji mini 4k!! Their specs speak about!!
Great vid, Here in the EU it have to have C0, does it have an C0 mark?
Thx
CE, not C0.

Skydio wants to ban all Chinese drones that have competitive advantages in both pricing and performance. The only option is to ban Skydio.
