"For a long time we've been considering an artist collaboration with Susanne Sundfør, and the final anniversary show of NRK Lydverket turned out to be the ideal time and place.
Initially, we thought about performing a pure cover version, but the chemistry and vibes between the three of us was out of the ordinary, which led us to put together a new track from scratch. The song Running To The Sea was written and recorded in two days, just in time for the TV-performance.
Susanne possesses a unique combination of distinctiveness and international talent, unique far beyond the borders of Norway. In addition, she has insightful knowledge on cooking inside a pit dug out of the ground.
Susanne delivered gold on her first vocal take. We still asked her to do another 58 though. These were never used, however, having these unused vocal takes available created an atmosphere of luxury in the studio."

Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfor is just a match made in heaven. Susanne’s voice is otherworldly. She makes her own incredible music, but I’m so glad to hear her singing with Röyksopp as well. Unforgettable.
I remember the night my mother died in hospice, it was 2015 Christmas night at about 11pm, I was watching some video and in the video some angel came from the light. I knew at that moment when the phone rang she had passed away. I remember the long drive home , and this song came up and started playing when I got home. I will always remember my mom, and this special song was so moving at the time. The tears flowed, and I was filled with peace knowing she was no longer suffering, I will always be thankful for Susanne and Royksopp for such a beautiful masterpiece.

The most beautiful song ever written and performed by Norwegians in English. Röyksopp at its best. Among their numerous female collaborators Ms. Sundfør stands out above the others. Susanne Sundførs voice on this track is angelic as if floating vividly above the thumping and twitching rhythm and orchestrations. Mixed in with the melancholic lyrics this song finds its form as a brilliant electronica masterpiece.

I still remember when I sneaked this lovely song into the aerobatic display mix of the Aerosparx formation flight team in their first year. Their first show was in Finland and this was the second song of the performance. Absolutely magical when the music finishes and they crossed each other on the final turn towards the public.
