MY OTHER METALLICA REACTIONS!
ua-cam.com/play/PLG217Y9Pofu5hs4Ged1MNFPt-JVcx_mqq.html
I am 51 and from the Bay Area. My first Metallica show was November 1983 @ The Berkeley Keystone. I was 14.
I heard "Whiplash" in 1990 as a 10 year old boy - from a mixtape prepared by my friend. I'd never heard a metal song before. It absolutely blew my mind... I stopped listening to pop, I grew my hair, I dove headfirst into metal and have been a metal-head ever since, for more than 30 years now. That riff after the intro turned my musical world upside down :)
Probably the same reaction I had in about 1984 at age 12!! Hands down my favorite Metallica album!
Only time I think they ever say their band name in a song. “We’ll never stop, we’ll never quit, coz we’re Metallica” - at some point in the past James started singing “coz you’re Metallica”
We are Metallica and it's the Batterry-ya.
They just take the lead.
Remember. It was made in 1982. When they were like 19- 20 years old !!
I was a mere 13 year old little punk headbanger in 1983 when Kill 'Em All was released. This was the second metal album I had ever bought, the first was Piece of Mind by Iron Maiden... only because of the album cover. I had never heard of Iron Maiden or Metallica at that point. Those two albums changed my life for ever, Nicko McBrain, Lars Ulrich and with the release of The Warning by Queensryche the next year Scott Rockenfield inspired me to get a drum kit and learn to play drums... 36 years later I'm still pounding away on the ol' skins and still rocking' to my three favourite bands...
It's funny how you can see their maturity levels rise as they progress, and over time you see more and more "heavy" content with stuff involving James' parents and such in AJFA and the Black album
this was the song that I heard first from Metallica. Massive impact on my life.
Same song I heard first too. I was in the 8th grade. I’m 30 now
They have James Hetfields handwritten lyrics to this song at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I went a few years ago and didn’t know that was there so that was a cool surprise
Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Thank you SO MUCH!!! I’m grappling with some very serious health problems and had myself a good hard cry, then went looking for Metallica and here you are, giving us the best Whiplash reaction the online world has EVER seen. I *really* needed this and banged my head (and acted like a maniac 😁) right along with you. It’s such a fun song and I’m so glad you liked it!
Thanks for cheering me up Dave!!
You are very much welcome! Thanks for sharing this. You have made my day as well! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Adrenaline starts to flow/ you’re thrashing all around/ acting like a maniac/ whiplash!
It's called "Whiplash" for a reason
🤘😝🤘
Dave. Before this album dropped music like this didn’t exist. Reviews call this album the true birth of Thrash. Dave from Megadeth is one of the original members and has writing credits on this record.
If you want to feel what it was like in the crowd when they are at full tilt check out the Seattle a1989 live version.......mind boggling, particularly when you realise they had already been playing for 2 hours , fatality!
Hell yeah some old-school Metallica. Can’t beat it
Cool to hear James sing at this early age.
Your breakdowns always amaze me because you think about them so thoroughly and it’s awesome to hear as a young Metallica fan. Keep up the great reactions 👍
Been in the mosh pit when they played this at the meadowlands in '98, place went nuts, we ripped apart the "break away seating"(folding chairs held together by zip ties) to make a pit and stacked the chairs up like wood and security just removed them, pits are awesome.
Awesome video as always Dave. This song really rips it up with the speed and aggression that only Metallica can deliver.
There's a couple more that I haven't seen you react to from their next couple of albums that also share this speed and relentlessness. Battery and The Shortest Straw. Please Dave, get to these songs. I'm dying to see what you think of them. Peace from Toronto ✌️✌️
Hey Dave, Thanks for the react ! The song was so fun live !🤘😎🤘
⛄
Your Metallica reactions are the best on UA-cam!
Thanks Dave! I was in the mood for some bone cracking speed metal and as always, you deliver.
“Think of it as confusion-” *looks around confused*
They were like 19 when they recorded this awesomeness! 🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
This is so much better live! You could react to it from their 1989 Seattle concert! It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!! Please do it!!!
I just love how chill he starts his videos
Them DEBIUT SINGLE, Dave ("We'll never stop, we'll never quit cause we're METALLICA!!")
Hey Dave if you want to hear this song in beast mode please react to it live in Seattle 1989. It's insanely good and twice as fast!!
Yessss dave. Sweet reaction keep em up
Bro this is definitely one of my favorite Metallica tracks.. and I actually never thought about it like whiplash from a car accident.. I really appreciate the fact that you explained it like that because it makes a lot of sense just never thought about that side of it.. thanks man
I’m glad you enjoyed it homie! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to watch one of my videos, it’s means a lot to me.
Metallica always a bop!
I love seeing this song live, cause it gets a good pit going and you come out of it with whiplash, or worse lol.
Yes I can imagine this song live because I’ve been there for it live!
Don't have to imagine because I saw them in concert six times
Thank. You. BRO!!!
The day that never comes
I get whiplash head banging to this song.
You HAVE to react to the Seattle 89 version of this song, will blow your mind how fast they play it.
Yes. That one and Battery.
no its so distorted
The live version of seattle 89 will blow you away. They are playing even faster and with more energy there!
_DICKRASH_
Gotta do The Art of Shredding.
As one of the crazy metalheads I'm frankly weirded out that I hadn't head it until recently. By Pantera.
Bang your head against the stage, oh sweet pain.
Cheers, Dave.
If you narrated audiobooks I would buy them just to listen to your wonderful voice.
You got the head banging down
You're a natural.
The pit was insain back then
Brother in law got ten stitches
Chainsaw guitar.... I love it.
WHIPLASH!!
That album is amazing!
Finally
The song that started it all.
Founders of thrash metal.
I discovered this Metallica album when I was a teenager. And I must say that it was a real revelation. It's the album I've listened to the most in my life. I went through various musical currents after my Metal period. Since 2 weeks I have lived a real musical resurrection by discovering a Japanese female Metal band. (Lovebites). I thought that nothing could match musically the album Kill'em all which is for me the precursor album of the trash metal movement. My recent discovery proved me the opposite. The band Lovebites reunites through its different tracks the three aspects of Metal, heavy, power and trash. It is remarkable. I have already encouraged you to react on this band. To me there is nothing equivalent that I have listened to in my life.
Old school Tallica are fire!!!
Turn it up!!!
I wish James would do the screaming vocals again
Never been to a Metallica show
However, my first concert was Slayer(while Jeff was alive, thank the powers that be) and I could NOT speak at school the next day
Hands down my favorite solo by Metallica.
Well well...2 of my favourite things just combined
Nice lighting.
I’ve never been to a metal concert and not gotten up the next morning feeling like I have “whiplash”
Love from India🇮🇳 ❤
There debute 🤘🏽
I was at Slipknot concert in Poland, and I can tell you
My neck hurt for like a week
My throat was out for a day
For me it was pure mayhem
I dream about seeing Metallica live in the 80s. Every song on kill em all and justice for all would be insane to see live when they were one of the heaviest bands.
ride the lightning and masterpuppets are the next in line.
Metal makes me want to kick ass.
u gotta listen to an old metal band called “Accept” their song Fast As A Shark. if u liked this, you’ll really dig that
Every band needs an anthem. Metallica has whiplash, maiden has Iron Maiden, Megadeth hasRattlehead, ect
Orbit Culture - Redfog . won't be disappointed!🤘
React to Motorhead's version of Whiplash,it's way heavier)
_Adrenaline starts to flow_
_Trashing all around_
_Acting like a maniac_
Pretty sure that's "...Thrashing all around..."
Very good re action. Whiplash is what pulled me to like thrash. Kill em all is a master piece. If you like Kell Em all, you should try Peace Sells by Megadeth. Most of kill em all is written by Dave Mustain. Who founded Megadeth after he was fired from Metallica
I have reacted to peace sells by megadeth already homie.
Not most, some...
There's a difference
@@whatitdodave Didnt know you had sir lol. I will gladly watch the video
I feel like he should do a reaction to For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica
Nah I can’t. I heard it already on Zombieland. I only do reactions to song I have not heard. There are some rare expectations tho.
@@whatitdodave try the live one at day on the green 1985, it’s one of their most popular performances
@@whatitdodave You could do For Whom the Bell Tolls S&M (the original S&M from the 90s). It's awesome! Also it's got quite a different feel from the original. I think it'd be a great reaction too; very few reactions online now to the S&M songs
@@whatitdodave Although if you were only going to react to one S&M song, I'd recommend Outlaw Torn (from the 90s S&M concert). It's a masterpiece, epic with the symphony
Yeah, admittedly this isn't a deep song at all. James describes it as the band showing admiration to their fans for coming to their shows and rocking their asses off...
I was a mere 13 year old little punk headbanger in 1983 when Kill 'Em All was released. This was the second metal album I had ever bought, the first was Piece of Mind by Iron Maiden... only because of the album cover. I had never heard of Iron Maiden or Metallica at that point. Metallica - Damage inc.
Bro, if you take off the bandanna, and put your head forward you be head banging
Takes me a month to recover from self induced whiplash from a METALLICA concert...just sayin' 🤣🤣🤣
WISH YOU WOULDED BEN WITH US AT 1981
Oh geez... almost every show. Many times.
You bang your head so hard for so long, your neck is tired and sore for the next week.
Plus side was after a few years I had a neck like a linebacker
Ita actually about head banging so hard you get whip lash
Yeah I looked it up in the video.
Music to sack cities by......
The only thing I'm asking you is to not stop making Metallica reactions. recommend Sad but true, of wolf and man and spit out the bone
Eventually I will have a reaction to every single song.
@@whatitdodave Reaction channel goals
If you leave a Metallica concert with the ability to still speak and your whole body isn’t sore for a week after, you’ve done something wrong. I had the joy of catching them as my very first concert back in ‘89 (Damaged Justice tour)when I was 13 and that set the standard for me of what a concert experience is. I’ve seen many different shows but there is only 1 Metallica my friend!
this song is about being in a mosh pit
every like kills that 1 disliker folks
