The Bose surprised me with the sound from such a small speaker. I’ve seen them on sale for $129 . Decent deal for a rugged portable speaker!
I have the bose is fantastic i picked the bose because for my needs its it looked like it would handle the abuse of being in my bag and every where else i take it and stay looking clean and floating is a big plus don't think u can go wrong with any of them none of them are the best sounding speakers ur ever going to listen too but they do a good job on the go
Bought a Bose SoundLink FLEX, my only regret was not buying a pair to save a few dollars, as I immediately ordered a 2nd one to run them in stereo mode which for the size of these speakers sounds AMAZING.

If that’s what you need , you have to look for kenwood stereos or pioneer stereos because they have the best equalizers that produce the sounds that you want to hear👍👍😊😊😊

The Bose Flex on its back has fairly crispy highs. More so than when standing upright.
Wow! That was so thorough and quite accurate imo. I own 3 of these speakers, and have heard a 4th. I like how you compared the Bose to the JBL Charge 5. I never liked the Charge series, even though the 5 is their best ideation. I love the Bose. The only other speakers I might add to this list are the two Marshall speakers; the Emberton, and the new Middleton. I have not purchased these… yet 😃, but they are on my short list! Thank you!! PS… I also own the JBL Flip 5 & 6. Both are great, and the 6 gives my Bose some great competition.
may I know if you experienced the short life problem of Bose battery. I once used bose Bluetooth product only 9 months its battery died..worry.
The CJARGE 5 does sound nice at 50-60% volume, to say it's a mono or single channel design, as opposed to a stereo design.
Pairing two CHARGE 5 in stereo is a nice option, for true stereo sound. You'll get a nice full range sound with the EQ set to the 0 or flat position, at 50-60% volume. I did this with my pair, & they produce a nice & full sound.

the second megaboom is the winner after these years still. using it for like 7-8 years now. I bought my dad a jbl charge 5 and I have to say jbl is good but cant make better than the megaboom
Music is supposed to be listened to in stereo. No doubt some of these can be paired in TWS mode for stereo listening, but you didn’t even consider it as important in your review. Start again please.

Earfun uboom L because it has the most refined sound that you won't get from anything else (Vifa is better but expensive) and Tribit Stormbox Blast if you need more power. 🔋

Motion boom plus is a good inbetween for the two you mentioned with lots of power and volume but much more portability than the stormbox blast

I find the Uboom L was a marketing hype by Oluv. I had that and the Bose Flex and found the Uboom L had a slight boxy sound. I tried many different firmware updates and all were very uninspiring. And in songs with a lot of instruments there wasn’t good separation. I found the Flex (particularly on its back) sounded way better…cleaner and more separation. But only on its back. Bose has position IQ and it changes the EQ based on its position/orientation.
