That was a mistake, this looked like the best way to suck lots of fun out of new vegas. There's no reason to do all of this. It's best to just play and have fun discovering things on your first playthrough.
It's not a NV playthrough without a straight off the operating table nude streak through deathclaw territory to the casinos for an intelligence implant. My characters are always a little dumb... Great video!

I tried the power leveling thing, it works on pc! Also found something even more hilariously broken, I got my character to lvl 31 with it, and made a save just before the character rebuild and then rebuilt my character, just to find myself annoyed that I could not find some of the perks I was looking for. Turns out, you keep perks even if you reset, so you can double the amount of perks.
Avoid these perks if possible on the first run, they will not carry over: -All level 2 perks -Comprehension -Educated -Entomologist -Rad Child -Run 'n Gun -Travel light -Here and now -Tunnel Runner
also, at the start of the game, DONT do ghost town gunfight and instead loot everything in good springs to get 100 caps, go to ncr correctional facility and do eddie’s missions (powder gangers) you can’t do this if you are vilified by the gang. do it until you can rat them out and then come back and do the starting quest where you defend the town.
I started playing Fall Out Vegas this month and I tried my best to not watch any video about it and after 1 month I decide to and now I just realize how good this game is and I am very happy about it I think I will start the game from the start because of this.

Illuminate Xhorcist normal guns because animation is more available and cheap and cell based weapons don’t do that much damage I would try out both because it doesn’t really matter because you can level up both to be really good and you can buy ammunition for both
some feedback: - the game volume needs to be ducked behind your voice. there were TOO many points where i couldnt make out what you were saying because of the voices from the game audio. - 6/7 snow globes? wheres the last one? overall, a great vid, and a decent technique for a powerful start to NV. good job, but the production needs work.

I think it is so cool that there are people out there that love this game as much as I do, it was very interesting seeing how someone else breaks down the game.
From personal experience (playing legit) I tend to do the following; You can get almost all components for EDE from the abandoned radio station (on your right) while walking from Goodsprings to Primm. Repair of 55 is not necessary. If you hit the locations to complete the following Benny quest: It's also worth noting that picking up the NCR armour from the unmarked cave (just left of the canyon wreckage) West of Primm, allows you to get unto the monorail to access the strip very early. You can then back track to complete side-missions while having the 38 for storage. Stack speech, it's OP.
First time playing new Vegas, this has definitely made a difference, since I'm only use to fallout 4 I wasn't sure how everything worked in new Vegas but this video has done wonders man cheers
You can talk to Cobb after you kill ringo he still ask you to for the shake down. You just have to kill them before you do the shake down. Also 3 of the powder gangers also get all the leather armors added to their inventory so you actually have 4x the leather you think.
Special stats S7, P1, E8, C5, I10, A5, L10 Tagged skills: Repair, Guns, Lockpick/Sneak. Traits (forgot names): The one where you level up slower but +5 to all skills

Just to add a note when you go to Repconn headquarters if you don't have 100 lockpick or science there's a keyword on the 3rd floor you can get in the same suitcase as the 200 pre war money that gets you in the door.
If you use the DLC's with free weapons, the Broad Machete is the optimal choice dealing with the geckos, any build can easily walk through them any difficulty with it.
Quick note that he didn’t add in. When your doing the stuff with sunny, don’t accept the quest for finding the food and flowers. I did that it Cobb want there.

Bro I have 5 companions ! Ede, Boone, the scientist, Veronica and Raul. In order to do this , you have to select a certain dialogue with Veronica . Tell her to wait when she asked you to take her back to BOS. When you’re ready , go to your companion location that you want to recruit. Talk to Veronica and tell her to go to BOS on her own , recruit that companion then send Veronica off then recruit her back . And there you have it . You should do a video of multiple companions.
you can get a service rifle earlier in the play through u can find it in a lil cave just before u enter canyon wreckage the cave is on the left walking up to canyon wreckage there is one dog and a dead boy and its there. p.s absolutely love the best start videos m8 keep it up

When talking to the ghoul at repconn, can you sneak up to the terminal without aggravating him, then sent the super mutants away, then find his girlfriends body then report back to him? Avoiding all violence?
Don't do the spy mission for the ncr (i put a spell on you) without Boone recruited you won't get trust points to get his companion quest unlocked also if you ask Mr house yes man or Benny about the omertas you get the quest that gives you the pimp boy 3 billion you don't need to talk to the guy in vault 21
Once this man said, “how long does it take to get to 50 using this method? I tested it myself, about 6 and a half hours” I had to like and sub. Who the fuck would sit there for that long unless ur mad dedicated. Props bro
I finally got it to work on the xbox one today... The trick is to: Talk to Cobb 1st and Initiate the mission... Next Then go kill Ringo, just kill no dialogue...skip to goodbye then kill. Then go back to Cobb, tell him you killed Ringo, then he'll tell you need supplies from the town first before his crew takes it on. Once you see the (*optional) mission to ask the store keeper pop up, THEN KILL COBB and his crew then go straight to the store owner and you should have the glitch. I'm so happy it still works lol
When you leave goodsprings, it will ask you if you want to move onward at some point. if you choose to reset your character after doing this, the game will set you to level one, grant you enough XP to reach the level you were at and you get to keep the perks you already picked. Figured it out, you DO have to initiate the dialogue with Cobb after you kill Ringo and report his death. Then you can kill Cobb and his gang and the infinite xp glitch works!
Wow this is actually good. I never played fallout before and FONV is my first. I was struggling at the prim forever with no idea what to do and die over and over. All the other beginner guides are confusing to me. Thank you so much.
I still go back now and then. Best start IMO is to deal with powder gangers, head north to Black Mountain hugging as tightly around it from west to north to avoid deathclaws. When you are south of repconn head directly north and go pick up YCS/186 and the reinforced combat armour (you can take the mercs out pretty easily with a few sticks of dynamite). Around 30 mins in and you're basically ubeatable.
While playing the game I noticed Mr house has an exp glitch, I started again and snuck all the way to his casino after selling all my gear for 200 caps at the gun runners to enter the strip got to level fifty with a repeating dialogue with one of mr houses questions then saved my game to start my campaign in good springs on the PS3 back in 2014.. Love this game and this video brought back the great memories that I had with playing through my many different campaigns..
This guide needs a divergence point - like, it's an amazing start (great video too, really) but I don't want to have to follow this guy's footsteps word-for-word throughout the entire game. I want a good start but I also want to play the game for myself.

Great video. New Vegas is my favorite game of all time and I replay it every couple months. Glad to see others feel the same way. One thing I would change is the SPECIAL. Charisma is typically considered a junk stat, and even when I play a diplomat/smooth-talker build, I only put 1 into Charisma. The points are better used elsewhere Imo. Charisma is really only useful for the bonus to companion damage, as there are only two Charisma checks in the game (Cpl. Betsy and the boomer kids) and they have no measurable effect on gameplay, but even ED-E + a humanoid companion at 1 Charisma are going to do enough to help any character. My favorite SPECIAL loadout is: S - 6 (+implant = 7) P - 5 (+ implant = 6) E - 7 (+ implant = 8) C - 1 I - 8 A - 6 (+ implant = 7) L - 7 This is an awesomely balanced character that works especially well with guns, and gives you 3 more implant slots ( 2 for monocyte and Sub-dermal and 1 more for a SPECIAL). No need to use a perk on Intense Training.
First time playing New Vegas - played the whole series - never touched this until tonight. Playing it on GamePass PC - and 3 hours in: I LOVE IT!!! Can't believe I thought this was the "stupid" Fallout. I am Jack's stupid brain.
You missed the graves on the right side were, in the graves, you can sometimes get a heavy incinerator and energy weapons and possible other good weapons.

@@utsavbasu1048 Play the character you want to play. If you want to kill everyone on sight there’s nothing stopping you, besides daily legion assassins. And if that isn’t a satisfactory ending for you, try playing again and maybe talk to some people lol.
I would immediately go to the NCR Mojave outpost (marked by two big statues to the southwest) and find Ranger Jackson. Right off the bat, he can give you a quest to go kill some ants on a road. When you’re finished, head back and he’ll give you a Service Rifle, ammo for it plus 100 caps and some weapon repair kits, I believe. Then, I’d go along with the main story quests from there. When you come to Boulder, find the guy who has the Mysterious Magnum, cause he’s at a camp around that area. Kill him to get the Mysterious Magnum. It’s a revolver with great damage and it reloads all six shots at once, not one at a time like the .357 or the Ranger Sequoia. Those are my tips. And if you can find one, I’d recommend getting the Cowboy Repeater.
Good video. I always like to go to Vault 34 as early as I can. With ED-E and Boone, you can get through it OK, though it's not easy. The All-American is one of the absolute best guns in the game and there are tons of other weapons in Vault 34.
Meanwhile at the BoS bunker, I forgot that I am wearing the NCR uniform, while playing the game for the first time on the hard difficulty with hardcore mode turned on. After one and a half hour of intense quicksaving and getting ambushed outside of the bunker, I wiped out the BoS, and immediately realized that the only thing that made them hostile was the damned uniform.
You don’t want charisma at 8 you want charisma at 1! Trust me. It doesn’t do anything other than 2 skills whereas strength affects carry, endurance affects implants, agility affects movement, intelligence affects a lot of checks and how many skill points per level, and luck affects how many skip points to start with along with criticals and casinos! Charisma doesn’t do anything, just put points in speech and barter and it’s fine I have a 1 charisma, but then have 100 speech and 100 barter and it’s exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ bulk up intelligence and luck instead

Intelligence at 9 endurance 9 strength 6 Traits four eyes and wild wasteland Level 2 perk bump your intelligence to 10 Level 4 perk take the one that gives you extra skill points Level 6 perk handloader Skills to prioritize repair guns barter in that order Pray let the shop sells a silencer for your Varmint Rifle You should have 65 repair by the time you get to Primm so you can get Ed E. There's no reason not to have all the DLC nowadays which makes Ed E the best companion of all time. Make as much as your own ammunition as possible prioritizing shotgun slugs and 556 match grade Loot everything and sell as much as you can. When you meet the man who tells you about special Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle caps kill him and take his Merchant outfit for + 10 barter When you get to Novak you should have 50 guns skill and hopefully enough caps to buy "that gun" Do Boone's quest to get him as a companion and a sweet hat Stop in Boulder City for some extra experience and if you explore around there should be a house where you can steal a lever action shotgun

The key card in the briefcase on the third floor of repcon headquarters. Unlocks the doors so you can get the q 35 without 100 lock pick or science.

When I was 20 I always hated older games because of the new title. Then 2010 came around introducing Fallout: New Vegas. I spent 3,000+ hours on it. Fast forward 9 years. Starting all over with a better experience than I did when I was 20. Thank you, Bethesda/Obsidian.

Bro I have 5 companions ! Ede, Boone, the scientist, Veronica and Raul. In order to do this , you have to select a certain dialogue with Veronica . Tell her to wait when she asked you to take her back to BOS. When you’re ready , go to your companion location that you want to recruit. Talk to Veronica and tell her to go to BOS on her own , recruit that companion then send Veronica off then recruit her back . And there you have it . You should do a video of multiple companions.
you can get a service rifle earlier in the play through u can find it in a lil cave just before u enter canyon wreckage the cave is on the left walking up to canyon wreckage there is one dog and a dead boy and its there. p.s absolutely love the best start videos m8 keep it up

Well, with the right mods, there is a dangerous way and less dangerous way to Vegas. Great vid for my favorite Fallout game.
When talking to the ghoul at repconn, can you sneak up to the terminal without aggravating him, then sent the super mutants away, then find his girlfriends body then report back to him? Avoiding all violence?

Don't do the spy mission for the ncr (i put a spell on you) without Boone recruited you won't get trust points to get his companion quest unlocked also if you ask Mr house yes man or Benny about the omertas you get the quest that gives you the pimp boy 3 billion you don't need to talk to the guy in vault 21

You can get through the door too the Q-35 matter modulator with 3rd degree clearance card which you get from a suitcase on the top floor (office)

I finally got it to work on the xbox one today... The trick is to:
Talk to Cobb 1st and Initiate the mission...
Next Then go kill Ringo, just kill no dialogue...skip to goodbye then kill.
Then go back to Cobb, tell him you killed Ringo, then he'll tell you need supplies from the town first before his crew takes it on. Once you see the (*optional) mission to ask the store keeper pop up, THEN KILL COBB and his crew then go straight to the store owner and you should have the glitch. I'm so happy it still works lol

This is my first Fallout game. I'm playing the Ultimate Edition on PS3, and following your guide. Thanks for the effort put into this.
When you leave goodsprings, it will ask you if you want to move onward at some point. if you choose to reset your character after doing this, the game will set you to level one, grant you enough XP to reach the level you were at and you get to keep the perks you already picked. However, there are perks that will not carry over, I have compiled a list of perks that you should avoid if possible before you reset:
-All level 2 perks
-Comprehension
-Educated
-Entomologist
-Rad Child
-Run 'n Gun
-Travel light
-Here and now
-Tunnel Runner

Just killed Ringo and then Cobb and his goons without talking to them. Went to general store and dialogue shown is not available?
Figured it out, you DO have to initiate the dialogue with Cobb after you kill Ringo and report his death. Then you can kill Cobb and his gang and the infinite xp glitch works!

I still go back now and then. Best start IMO is to deal with powder gangers, head north to Black Mountain hugging as tightly around it from west to north to avoid deathclaws. When you are south of repconn head directly north and go pick up YCS/186 and the reinforced combat armour (you can take the mercs out pretty easily with a few sticks of dynamite). Around 30 mins in and you're basically ubeatable.

While playing the game I noticed Mr house has an exp glitch, I started again and snuck all the way to his casino after selling all my gear for 200 caps at the gun runners to enter the strip got to level fifty with a repeating dialogue with one of mr houses questions then saved my game to start my campaign in good springs on the PS3 back in 2014.. Love this game and this video brought back the great memories that I had with playing through my many different campaigns..

New Vegas is my favorite game of all time and I replay it every couple months. Glad to see others feel the same way.
One thing I would change is the SPECIAL.
Charisma is typically considered a junk stat, and even when I play a diplomat/smooth-talker build, I only put 1 into Charisma. The points are better used elsewhere Imo.
Charisma is really only useful for the bonus to companion damage, as there are only two Charisma checks in the game (Cpl. Betsy and the boomer kids) and they have no measurable effect on gameplay, but even ED-E + a humanoid companion at 1 Charisma are going to do enough to help any character.
My favorite SPECIAL loadout is:
S - 6 (+implant = 7)
P - 5 (+ implant = 6)
E - 7 (+ implant = 8)
C - 1
I - 8
A - 6 (+ implant = 7)
L - 7
This is an awesomely balanced character that works especially well with guns, and gives you 3 more implant slots ( 2 for monocyte and Sub-dermal and 1 more for a SPECIAL).
No need to use a perk on Intense Training.
First time playing New Vegas - played the whole series - never touched this until tonight.

Play the character you want to play. If you want to kill everyone on sight there’s nothing stopping you, besides daily legion assassins. And if that isn’t a satisfactory ending for you, try playing again and maybe talk to some people lol.

I would immediately go to the NCR Mojave outpost (marked by two big statues to the southwest) and find Ranger Jackson. Right off the bat, he can give you a quest to go kill some ants on a road. When you’re finished, head back and he’ll give you a Service Rifle, ammo for it plus 100 caps and some weapon repair kits, I believe. Then, I’d go along with the main story quests from there. When you come to Boulder, find the guy who has the Mysterious Magnum, cause he’s at a camp around that area. Kill him to get the Mysterious Magnum. It’s a revolver with great damage and it reloads all six shots at once, not one at a time like the .357 or the Ranger Sequoia. Those are my tips. And if you can find one, I’d recommend getting the Cowboy Repeater.
Good video. I always like to go to Vault 34 as early as I can. With ED-E and Boone, you can get through it OK, though it's not easy. The All-American is one of the absolute best guns in the game and there are tons of other weapons in Vault 34.
Meanwhile at the BoS bunker, I forgot that I am wearing the NCR uniform, while playing the game for the first time on the hard difficulty with hardcore mode turned on. After one and a half hour of intense quicksaving and getting ambushed outside of the bunker, I wiped out the BoS, and immediately realized that the only thing that made them hostile was the damned uniform.
You don’t want charisma at 8 you want charisma at 1! Trust me.
It doesn’t do anything other than 2 skills whereas strength affects carry, endurance affects implants, agility affects movement, intelligence affects a lot of checks and how many skill points per level, and luck affects how many skip points to start with along with criticals and casinos! Charisma doesn’t do anything, just put points in speech and barter and it’s fine I have a 1 charisma, but then have 100 speech and 100 barter and it’s exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ bulk up intelligence and luck instead
I played this game for the first time when I was like 10 and never really got the full experience, now coming back 17 and Ready to get that full experience
READ: Took me a while to figure out but I had to talk to Cobb after killing Ringo to activate the shake down. Then kill cobb before heading to store.

Intelligence at 9 endurance 9 strength 6
Traits four eyes and wild wasteland
Level 2 perk bump your intelligence to 10
Level 4 perk take the one that gives you extra skill points
Level 6 perk handloader
Skills to prioritize repair guns barter in that order
Pray let the shop sells a silencer for your Varmint Rifle
You should have 65 repair by the time you get to Primm so you can get Ed E. There's no reason not to have all the DLC nowadays which makes Ed E the best companion of all time.
Make as much as your own ammunition as possible prioritizing shotgun slugs and 556 match grade
Loot everything and sell as much as you can.
When you meet the man who tells you about special Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle caps kill him and take his Merchant outfit for + 10 barter
When you get to Novak you should have 50 guns skill and hopefully enough caps to buy "that gun"
Do Boone's quest to get him as a companion and a sweet hat
Stop in Boulder City for some extra experience and if you explore around there should be a house where you can steal a lever action shotgun
