My very first deck was the Luard Starter deck back in G Era, but because there was no local scene and I had no one to play with, I quickly lost interest in the game. Then, in V, I came back when they announced Deletors, and played it as my main deck till messiah came along, but the powercreep and prices got a little too out of hand for me. Now, in D format, I got hooked once again thanks to the anime and fell in love with Bruce's playstyle. So now I have my Viamance Bruce and I'm building my Welstra to take it to regionals cause he's so hecking cool, and inspired me to take Vanguard more seriously!
Yo congratulations! The random comment picker has chosen YOU as the winner! Just DM me on either my official Twitter or Facebook pages (both @redzonerogue) with a screenshot of this notification so I know it's you and I'll ship em out within the week or so!
What I find cool about Vanguard is how distinct the visual identity of each nation and archetype is. Also, they really play differently and although there are some that may be more supported than others or some itteration over the years, this game still feels unique in the execution of those aspects. Also, the art and overall card design is just so cool.
I got into vanguard through the anime when I was younger. Loved the anime, bought some trials decks played it a handful of times and dropped it for a long time till a year ago when I got into D. My first deck was Bavsargra which I played for a while with a friend. I loved the equip mechanic. My next deck after Bavs struggled too much is Tamayura which I have been loving the combos of the deck. I love MyMetalCards but never bought them because the shipping is higher than the price of the cards for me. Excited you are getting into Vanguard, definitely worth the sub!
2:20 Greetings from SEA, trying my luck for the eva and tamayura energy Crest. My first cardfight vanguard trial deck standard was Magnolia. Been into vanguard for almost two years. My favorite deck based on Nations would be Bavsagra Blangdmire Luard Zorga Feltyrosa
My friends first got me into Vanguard back in 2012, they had bought a bunch of boxes and made decks for themselves, and kinda gave me some of their extras to make a stand-in deck until I could build something myself. My first deck that was all mine was when the Gold Paladin starter deck came out, with the "Great Silver Wolf, Garmore". From that point I ended up playing Golds as my main until Spectral Duke Dragon released, and I ran that at the 2012 championship in Seattle, WA. It was a lot of fun, and I've been on and off of many different decks throughout the span of the game. For Standard though, I'm currently running Liael=Amorta (Keter), Drajeweled (Dark States), and Magnolia Elder (Stoicheia) as my main go-to's.
I played OG CFV and quit before Stride came along. I found your channel when I was looking for more information about Flesh and Blood when I can across a lone box of WTR at my FLGS and see you get into Vanguard is so awesome! I somewhat got back to CFV after watching Overdress.
My very first deck was Bastion, which I started playing in Set 9 of Overdress. I played it religiously, even though I went 0-3 at locals and lost every sunday. To this day, I still play Bastion and have upgraded it to Bastion Accord with new support cards from DZ-BT01 and finally been going 2-1 with the deck
I didn't get into Vanguard until Overdress started when I picked up the start decks for Bastion and Seraph. I've since expanded my Keter lineup to include Bastion Accord, Phantom Blaster Overlord, and Luard. While I dropped Seraph, I have built Arkhite, and I'm experimenting with trying to make a functional Asturm deck. Additionally, because my I'm a collector at heart, I've built a number of non-meta premium/legacy decks for older formats, based mostly on aesthetics/themes.
Those are so cool! My first deck was blaster blade back in 2011 but I had no idea how to play. It was the equivalent of playing yugioh on the playground. On the other hand my first competitive deck was nirvana and I blinged that deck out, but now I’m a zorga boi.
This is my first time learning about this card game. I like your channel because im able to learn about new games. I can't wait to get a deck and start playing.
Me and my gaming group played the OG Vanguard in Japanese waaaaaay back, more than 10 years ago. My very first deck was the King of Knights, Alfred deck from Royal Paladin. We played all the way up till the G era then stopped for awhile. We got back in again during the V series reboot but stopped quite quickly as we felt that the power creep made it really unfun. Now, we have a few decks each of the current D series which we still occasionally play nowadays.
My boy Luard he is such a little guy, like his entire thing is putting your littlest little guys (grade ones) into the drop zone and then just constantly cycling through your board, especially now with semias and the undercover dog coming out in a week, AND on top of that hes just super super cool and the art is amazing although if i could build a deck from scratch id be picking divinez zorga (hes just magic guy) since you basically get luard fully in the deck set (super cool imo)
I started the game about 2 months ago and the deck I decided to go with is Zorga Nadir. My first deck was the quick start deck boss Oselargest. I’ve never played a card game seriously before so it’s been a experience
My very first deck in Vanguard started as a trial deck. It was the very first Aqua Force trial deck back when it was clans instead of nations. The star of the deck was a card called Navalgazer Dragon. For years, I admired the robot clans from afar. The naval robots were the closest I could get, but for overDress i fixed it. I've been playing Brandt Gate (fka Star Gate) ever since we switched to Nation play. I love Wesltra especially. Brandt Gate decks are often very combo heavy and i love how they all use set orders, but they all do so many different things. Looking forward to more Vanguard content on this channel.
My very first deck was the old trial deck, Trial Deck 17: Will of the Locked Dragon. At the time, I was a little middle schooler and had been caught up to the anime I believe, and I knew that I loved Star-Vaders gameplay and aesthetics so much (aesthetics are like Cardinals in Standard), so I got the latest Star-Vader trial deck and had a blast playing with it. (It was also a super based investment, because one of the cards is worth like $40 nowadays, but the condition is actually so bad cuz I didn't have sleeves starting out lol)
My first deck was buster blade, but I took a break for a number of years. But I recently got back into the game. (I usually play magic) and it has been such a great break. I love the art, and the game mechanics. Also loving your videos!
My first every deck was the OG Trial Deck: Blaster Bade and i would play with it for a few months till the card shop closed down and lost interest in the game until Vanguard ZERO and DifferentFight got me back into the IP. With the anime divine having me want to play physically again, I brought the Start Up Trial Deck for Brandt Gate and I'm slowly upgrading it and I plan on making FLMMe-Glam just cause i love the design of it.
Loving the videos! I also started getting into vanguard and got the starters. I looked through some decks and decided to build Lascaria! There isnt a huge community in my country so probably going to stay rather casual. Absolutely love the card artd though!
First deck I ever built was Enigman for Dimension Police waaay back in the day. Set 8 just came out, and I wanted aqua force, but my pulls told me otherwise! And so my journey being a justice main began! Super hyped to have DP finally join standard in less than 2 weeks
My first vanguard deck was Eva, always loved her and her story, i got literally in love with her character and her deck...and yeah it was my first deck, also the deck i got 2 tops with and that i will never forget
I got into the Vanguard Community fully during the Pandemic. Now, I've subscribed to many channels and my best achievement so far is getting Runner Up at a New Years Eve Tourney.
Not a new player by any means, but I’m always glad to see new players starting. My first deck was the original Kagero trial deck back in 2011. Hope more people try the game out.
I think if I ever start with Vanguard, i wanna try to make a Bastion deck. The mechanics seems easy enough to understand and not too expensive before I invest in the game. Plus the artwork seems pretty cool for the deck 🫡
I always wanted to gez into the game. Still looking for people in my area to playtest but thanks for the heads up! The cards also look really gorgeous. Really good work from the artists.
My first deck was Garmore Ezel in OG vanguard when you had to hard draw all the right pieces to superior ride. It wasn’t competitive at all since I had no perfect guards. But my first fully built competitive deck was Spike brothers. And to this day I’m a Diabolos player.
I’ve only recently got into the game (thanks to you and the rogues gallery) and I ended up picking up the kairi, bavsargra and prison starter decks but if I had to choose I think Kairi’s my girl. Already dropped $200 on singles for her.
First vanguard deck man that takes me back to when it came first came out in English. If I recall it was a hybrid deck of kagero and nova grappler when we had clans and were allowed to mixed clans.. I feel old now
My first deck ever was the Narukami Eradicator Vowing Sword Dragon Limit Break ver. Although the series is over, I made myself a V version of the deck, using Eradicator Vowing Saber as its main card. As for D series, my personal favorite deck is Sealed Blaze Maiden, Bavsargra. Since I have a budget, I wasn't able to get the meta cards that are usually used in the deck. Because of that, I constructed my own deck to suit my Bavsargra's playstyle. You can call it a granblue deck. I've won a few fights with it and I'm happy with it. know she's a weak 3-attack deck since Bushiroad hasn't released any plans on giving her a 4th or more attack like every single deck in D series, but I want to believe that she'll get it someday.
I started playing Vanguard when it was first released in america, but it wasn't until the release of the Genesis faction that I got into building more competitive decks.
My first deck was Welstra. My favorite deck right now is Shojodoji. The flavor of units jumping out of the shadows to attack and disappearing again feels like commanding a pack of ninjas. I also like Arkhite because i loved godzilla as a kid.
I am a SVE swordcraft player and I follow your channel for your SVE content. However due to the low number of tournaments in my area, I recently picked up cardfight vanguard and bought into rotovisor as my first competitive deck.
My first ever Vanguard Deck was actually Star Vaders, but the deck I loved the most is Majesty Lord Blaster. Just such a pity that I never got to play MLB competitively as the game died out in South Africa 😢
I hesitated yesterday about getting back into vanguard. I guess this is my sign. Guess I'll be going back to my FLGS and build some Lyrical Monasterio. Can't go wrong with cute girls doing cute things.
I actually recently got out and switched over to GA bc of rrz. The meta felt so bad with power creep ever set. Staples hidden behind store promos and stores closing left and right to do other games. I hate stride and it seems like that's the route they are going. They also killed v premium.
I don’t have an active local scene that plays Cardfight Vanguard. I’ve have played a few times with my friends, we all just have trail decks. I own the Megumi Okira and Tomari Seto precons. I would like to play more Cardfight Vanguard in the future.
I'm new to Vanguard and still in the process of building an Arkhite deck, and I'm very excited to get the new Arkhite and its support in the (EN)DZ set 03 that will be out soon. Good luck to everyone!
Thank for your Video!!!!!!! I have started Cardfight Vanguard for a bit more than a month. I started with the Trial Deck Brandt Gate so I will use this Nation from now on. I have begin to build 2 Deck for now, Avantgarda and Prison with Seraph Snow. I'm still thinking about if i start a third one ? Welstra? Eva ? Or Impauldio in 2 month ? I use VG Paradox too but I also use Dexander.
I started Vanguard way back at the end of 2012 early 2013 and my first deck I build was bermuda triangle. I had been playing gishki in yugioh which is a water deck and wanted a water deck for vanguard. I found the waifu clan. Went yeah this looks good, and bought a bunch of packs to build my first deck. it was awful and I only owned one heal trigger because thats all I pulled and had no perfect guards since back then they where double rare and not easy to get. Here I am today with my favorite unit being Shiranui, but I still have a soft spot for lyrical/bermuda. Welcome to the community and have fun ^_^
I started back in V era. some of my favorite decks were Shirayuki and Draconic Vanquisher in V. going into Standard I have Avantgaurd built and really enjoy playing that. I an hoping Bushiroad will be more flexible on the Energy Generator and Markers in the future or print more to make it more accessible for players.
It’s gross when you think of it that $900 really isn’t that much in the TCG space. I’m gonna forget I said that so I can enjoy my collection🤣. Goblin deck😅?
I’m just saying in general if you told an outsider $900 in cardboard they’d think you’re crazy, but in reality that’s really a tiny portion of what a collection would be😅
My first Actually Deck that wasnt a trial deck was Spike Brothers Back in 2012. The deck profile is still on my Channel. Def miss the OG vanguard but DivineZ looks pretty cool with the new Energy Mechanic
My first Vanguard deck was a Mash of Mr. Invincible that was just random cards thrown in lol. But the actual deck that got me more into vanguard as a tcg was Victor during G.
I have been with cardfight vanguard since the beginning. With my first deck being the Kagero starter deck and my brother getting the Royal Paladin one.
I've been wondering what type of deck you would play. since your first video on the subject of Vanguard. To say the least I am surprised but I can speak for the majority and say "we will be watching your career with great interest" !
Try to get into Vanguard as my 2.nd TCG after i started Shadowverse 2 Months ago , which i also found out about from your videos! Having a lot of fun thanks for your videos! ..Would love to win the giveaway for a sweet vanguard start
My first ever deck technically was the first ever OG trial deck way back with Blaster blade and Dragonic Overlord and I still remember when my brother built me OG MLB and me playing at a locals and almost topping it too
It’s not exciting, but my first deck was the Dark States standup deck. I’m buying my first booster boxes to begin souping it up as soon as the next set drops.
Hum first deck huh....only got a few stuckture a few years back until overdress happened and I went off to college and could actually buy cards without my parents knowing. Ive dropped a lot of my starting decks but hum i guess the one ive kept is jhiva. technically not the same deck as original but it the only one among the original 5 overdress decks that ive technically kept and updated. Oh ya! Welcome to the community at least you completely build the decks I try to budget my decks so missing a lot of staples that are needed but i enjoy it that way
My first and favorite deck has to be Bastion. I really want to buy the deck since I’ve been playing the deck through dear days, but it hasn’t had new content in 3 months.
Lol I started out with Blaster Blade as my first deck. As soon as I heard word the states were gettin the game I went out to find my community. I was a high schooler at the time so playin on a budget.
I'm complely new to cf vanguard, just ordered some of the trial and booster sets since shadowverse wb got delayed I have been looking for other tcgs and I see a lot of people from shadowverse community has interest into a Cf Vanguard.
What is the best way to buy into cardfight vanguard, without buying the expensive stride decksets? Are any of the Trial decks upgradeable to a deck you could take to Locals, for a resonable about of $$
I started playing vanguard since 2013 with aqua force trial deck through g era with my weak thavas deck that I didn't finish it because I don't have enough money to buy G booster set because my parents didn't want me to buy booster and it's not outdated since the release of v series set and from the V era I was able to learn my past mistakes of buying the booster from the og and g series booster and now was able build my strong V Maelstrom deck by just buying singles card from online vanguard buy and sell and now I have a stoicheia Maelstrom deck that it's already built by spending my own money of buying a complete Stoicheia Maelstrom deck and now I am waiting for Glory Maelstrom to return in d standard since I have V glory maelstrom because I was able to buy from single and now I am waiting for D version of glory maelstrom to come out after the 2nd season of Divinez anime or 3rd season of Divinez anime in 2025
My very first deck was the Luard Starter deck back in G Era, but because there was no local scene and I had no one to play with, I quickly lost interest in the game.

@@RedZoneRogue OMG I WON???? I am gonna pass out holy smokes
I forgot to mention - the giveaway winner winner will be chosen one week from now! I'll HEART and PIN the winners comment. Good luck everyone!
Bro I wanna be the “winner winner”🤣

Welstra is my favorite deck. I love the aesthetics so much, Welstra himself has so much flair especially if you’ve seen the anime.
What I find cool about Vanguard is how distinct the visual identity of each nation and archetype is.
Also, they really play differently and although there are some that may be more supported than others or some itteration over the years, this game still feels unique in the execution of those aspects.
Also, the art and overall card design is just so cool.

My favorite deck based on Nations would be
Bavsagra
Blangdmire
Luard
Zorga
Feltyrosa

With the anime divine having me want to play physically again, I brought the Start Up Trial Deck for Brandt Gate and I'm slowly upgrading it and I plan on making FLMMe-Glam just cause i love the design of it.
My first deck was the aqua force trail deck in 2012. I am now building a Maelstrom dragon deck
Loving the videos!
I also started getting into vanguard and got the starters. I looked through some decks and decided to build Lascaria! There isnt a huge community in my country so probably going to stay rather casual. Absolutely love the card artd though!

Very much looking forward to getting the last of the cards for my zorga deck! Cant wait to get my first games in soon in the discord!

I got started playing Vanguard last year with Arkhite. The art is really cool, and I love swinging face with big monsters.
My first deck was a neo nectar trial deck I started in 2016 I still play that deck to this day .
My first CFV deck was the 13th trial deck for Regalia forever ago, been playing ever since 🙏
My first Cardfight Vanguard decks were Chorno friends from Gear Chronicles series the Golden paladin deck and the Flower/plant deck. 🙂
My very first deck was the Narukami Limit Break deck. Will always love that deck
It’s gross when you think of it that $900 really isn’t that much in the TCG space. I’m gonna forget I said that so I can enjoy my collection🤣. Goblin deck😅?
Well it's 3 full competitive decks for $900. Each deck is closer to $300 which isn't too bad

I have been with cardfight vanguard since the beginning. With my first deck being the Kagero starter deck and my brother getting the Royal Paladin one.
I used to watch the show when it first came out, but never got to play because no one around me does.

Battle princess deck (Prison is the technical name I think), I love the space cop/transformers/gundum aesthetic.
same thing happened to me, I started with 1 Alestiel deck and now I have like 15 decks :x
Nice dude! I just got into the game myself and the deck I want to make is Violence Bruce!
Oh no…he’s in too deep. We’ve lost him 😔
Hum first deck huh....only got a few stuckture a few years back until overdress happened and I went off to college and could actually buy cards without my parents knowing. Ive dropped a lot of my starting decks but hum i guess the one ive kept is jhiva. technically not the same deck as original but it the only one among the original 5 overdress decks that ive technically kept and updated.
Oh ya! Welcome to the community at least you completely build the decks I try to budget my decks so missing a lot of staples that are needed but i enjoy it that way
Me and my friend have been getting into the game and its been great. Picking up youthberk soon.
I played in the G Era and V Series, but stopped when Overdress became a thing.
My first and favorite deck has to be Bastion. I really want to buy the deck since I’ve been playing the deck through dear days, but it hasn’t had new content in 3 months.
My first deck was revengers in the limit break era since then I have drifted from the game, now I'm back playing messiah and blangdmire

What is the best way to buy into cardfight vanguard, without buying the expensive stride decksets? Are any of the Trial decks upgradeable to a deck you could take to Locals, for a resonable about of $$
I wanna build impauldio but my first deck was seraph snow.
I started playing vanguard since 2013 with aqua force trial deck through g era with my weak thavas deck that I didn't finish it because I don't have enough money to buy G booster set because my parents didn't want me to buy booster and it's not outdated since the release of v series set and from the V era I was able to learn my past mistakes of buying the booster from the og and g series booster and now was able build my strong V Maelstrom deck by just buying singles card from online vanguard buy and sell and now I have a stoicheia Maelstrom deck that it's already built by spending my own money of buying a complete Stoicheia Maelstrom deck and now I am waiting for Glory Maelstrom to return in d standard since I have V glory maelstrom because I was able to buy from single and now I am waiting for D version of glory maelstrom to come out after the 2nd season of Divinez anime or 3rd season of Divinez anime in 2025
Ive just started looking into vanguard, and i want to try out a tamayura deck just because i like the twins LOL
May favorite deck is messiah but that deck is too expensive for me. 😢😢
I'd totally buy in but there is no where to play in my area. I hate card game dead zones...
That eva one is so cool
I really like those metallic energy counters! hope to win the giveaway

You Do need official counters either the gem cards or the counter non official anything in vanguard is prohibited
Annoyingly that goes for tokens too.
$300 cad or usd? That doesnt sound right if USD except for the highest tier meta decks
Stoicheia FTW!
