Hello sir, were you able to get the actuator back into the housing? I’m also working on my egr for the same exact truck you have. Right now egr valves for this truck is impossible to find so im trying to rebuild mine. Pulled the actuator out to service the O-rings to fix the leaking oil but now the actuator/valve won’t sit all the way into the housing. Were you able to put yours back together? If so, how? Thanks so much for any info you can provide man. You’re my last hope. Have a good one man. Thanks
Sorry. Mine just simply went back together without any tricks. But I didn't change any orings. I just freed up the frozen valve and reinstalled on engine.
Not yet. Got the truck with engine partially rebuilt. was simply tinkering that day. I've never done a paccaar rebuild. But I'll be getting to this project soon.
If you could find any ID marks on that solenoid would be great. I have one needs a solenoid but they only sell the complete valve. It’s crazy. Parts prices are astronomical
@@Dugefrshautomotivedid u remember seen oil in the egr actuator position? U did say the sensor tell the position of the valve. Did u remember seen black oil in it?
@@johnsonberry6750 I don't know for sure where oil might be. This engine hasn't been together in years, do there's no oil anywhere at this point. I was just tinkering with it to see how things work. I found that the EGR works off of oil pressure. So engine needs to be running in order to command the EGR open and closed. I plan to video the entire tear down and rebuild of the engine once I have spare time.
@@johnsonberry6750 yes... The actuator and sensor most likely bathes in engine oil. I tested it in another video with air pressure. So it makes sense that oil touches everything in the actuator/sensor assembly
Hello Friends, I have a daf model 2020 mx13 engine, engine retard. Why does this engine damage the camshaft, and I have seen several cases where the camshaft also breaks quickly, and this is a weakness for this engine. Is this a weakness in the construction of this engine or is there a reason that causes this problem? Please guide me. This is a problem for this engine and the second question is what type of oil is suitable for this engine. Please answer Thanks
Hey buddy did you found anything more about this?

Did you figure out anything. Davie program has a function to initialize the egr valve which test function at idle

@@jeffderus1668 I still have it in pieces from last year. I'll check it for any markings.
Did you remember seen oil in position sensor?
What do you mean?
