i was an inch close to being booted from my guild this xpac, but thanks to you i found salvation. iLvL 350 (one of our highest at time of commenting). I had my first two talents as icy talons and horn of winter. Would have never guessed all the difference it could make to just tweek those two. Now hitting 38,000+ dps. i know those aren't big boy numbers and that i've got alot more fine tuning to do (especially with azerite traits) but this was a MAJOR upgrade for me. Thank you!!!

Especially when he kicked like 3 random people (even the top DPS) for no reason who have literally never done the raid before? But NICE JOB! You made me a proud FROST DK. I bet that was super frustrating dealing with his delayed in raid commands. I like Asmon cuz he's funny, but id NEVER want to raid with him as a leader. So annoying. Nice job!
Unbuffed at ilevel 343 I'm pulling about 14k burst using this build/rotation. With frostscythe I find i'm pulling 19-20k on most pulls with 4+ adds. Pulled 22k on 3 adds using the burst. I will play this for a bit and see if i can get the muscle memory down. Seems overall more consitant than what I was rocking before.

I've been using the same mog (different shoulders and belt) pretty much since mogging became a thing. Great looking set. Wished the shoulders off of Siouxsie the Banshee in Archerus were available in game, those are perfect for this mog.
I've been dabbling with all the DK specs since BfA launched and I've been having a lot of fun with unholy. Something to keep in mind though is that it's at the opposite end of the spectrum of frost, being the king of aoe burst while having relatively lack luster st damage without a lot of popped cooldowns. The biggest issue both specs suffer from right now though is survivability which kind of forces you into playing blood if you're doing something like world quests and the like.
best opener is 3 obliterate(rime cast in between) wait for first set of rune and weapon enchants proc then runic weapon +pillar+ BOS. +remorseless winter inbetween and dont wait for last second for your nuke(ice chain) this way you get your second ice chain sync perfectly with your second pillar.
You planning on doing any arena content. Would love to see how you play in arenas. I'm sure it would help a lot of us get better. Keep up the great content!

HELP!! ALL you mighty frost DK's heed my call. I really don't know why, but sometimes when I do the rotation and try to use runes to stack up my Pillar of Frost I sometimes only get 3 stacks. I spam obliterate as often as I can, and I spend my runes but sometimes I get 4-5 Stack on PoF and sometimes only like 2-3. Why?! I'm spending my runes, no matter if I hit or miss obliterate. Does it has to do something with overwriting? What does he mean with overwriting? I don't understand... ugh pls help
New to dk, playing frost at the momment. Greatly enjoying the experience. But my issue lies in Damage or at least low end 350s Damage, I keep being kicked from groups and unable to raid cause i cant do and hold 10k dps with out majour cooldowns. Is this a common issue or am i m,is playing wrong Az traits. any help or clue what could be the issue ?

Man i feel like DK is in serious trouble when talking about pvp. I tried to find a DK on the ladder to copy its talents etc and i had to skip 3 pages before seeing one LOL
So instead of using pillar then going into remorseless right away, I made a macro for pillar and chains and you use that right before remorseless winter, that way when you use the cold heart talent your chains is hitting much harder under the effects of pillar. Seeing as you get 20 stacks at 40 sec. and pillar comes of CD at 45 sec., you only have to delay your chains for 5 sec. before hitting like a truck again. I was constantly only getting crits of only 30k w/chains and now hit for a 45-50k w/chains right in the opener, I even had a 57k crit on my last test. just a tip, don't have to obviously, but i found it works for me. Here's the Macro: #showtooltip Pillar of Frost /castsequence reset=45! Pillar of Frost, Chains of Ice
Thats not very hard. Reason being. if you use chains right away. Its not getting the effect of the extra 15% strength from stacking pillar. Also your missing out on the 15% frost damage from razor ice. More then likely you don't have rune of the fallen crusader proc'd. What your doing will make it hit for a lot less then it should. 57k is weak.
Hazze recently started watching you a lot more often since I picked my dk again and I'm loving ur content u should make a dueling guide vs all classes if possible and what your thoughts are on pvp dks currently

Generally i use frostwyms fury first because, of how the runes roll over with this kind of burst. In a raid setting with lust, could see this being an option for sure but, realistically. Not a high difference.

After burst I am really struggling. Like I can do the whole burst with no problem but once it's done everything just falls off. Like getting no procs I just stand there afk basically. And if you go to do the opener burst on a boss but get something casted on you so you have to run away it's just stupid because that's 90% of the spec.
Frost dk is currently the slowest class in the game with the most downtime, it is literally just your burst damage that keeps most of us sitting top 5 in raids.
It is not really burst though, right? You literally have to hold up Breath of Sindragosa for up to 10 seconds. Most of the M+ bosses don't really allow you to do that.

By trash do you mean mobs in the open world? They scale to a player’s own level so whilst your 120 character sees them as 120, a 110 will see them as 110.
yes open world I was exploring think its called Zandalar or something at lvl 111 everything was lvl 120 for me he was killing the serpents and eggs and skinning .
Seeing how no one is replying, I assume no one knows. So all you frost dks out there use it! it's super bursty. I'm surprised such a pro wouldn't add that.

I find unholy to be GREAT at single target and AoE..

im 350 and hitting dummy at 25k if proc is good. with raid buff you are pushing 30

idk why but i simply cannot use the macros, I configured them but when I try to use them they simply don`t work, anyone know what it can be?
I got shit wrong traits, but when I burst I some times do like 13-14k and other times I do 18k.. Not sure what that gap is :(

That nuke macro doesn't work for me somehow. It doesn't cast the Chains of Ice

If you have the frozen tempest, the damage is OP in AoE and Mythic+ situations. Been using it all day.

It is normal with 4k obliterate crits lol. Blizz needs to rework on frost dk :(

Sim it but most likely you want mastery/crit haste is kinda useless for us
Your guild is wrong, haste is currently our worst stat. Crit and Mast should be your highest followed by vers then haste

@Hazzed Gaming . How important is a racial bonus for dps. i.e. Humans over worgens, NE, Dwarves, etc???
Not hugely. Some will do more burst dps, some more overall. For the most part tho, they are all fairly close in terms of overall damage.
