I take icy talons and runic attenuation. These two value each other. Your auto attack crits give you killing machine. I value the 4x damage from the crit then the not critting from frost scythe. I think Soft capping your crit first before stacking mastery. This way you are more often Critting and doing the dubble damage of your mastery. You are also suggesting to ignore Runic Empowerment when you spend runic power from frost strike aswell. So being able to hit frost strike with POF taking Obliteration will grant killing machine and has even a higher chance to gain more runes. So a lot of crits and a lot of frost damage with good momentum.
I got 7 percent haste right now i have to pop cds in order to do anything, i definitely want more haste i feel itll play smoother? rune regen i feel is so important than again im new to DK

So for me I would do my normal rotation and not pop BoS or Pillar of Frost until my Runic Power is above 80 and when I have all my Runes back up that’s when I pop them. I’d go through my first set of Runes, Horn of Winter, deplete those Runes, then finally pop ERW so I have another extended period of time to continue BoS... Not sure if that would make much of a difference but I’ve always though it be better?
U are losing alot of cd like lust and potion waiting that much time, plus RA is better than HOW at higher ilv u should sims urself, the rotation is: oblitx3 if rime proc use HB, wait for some rune ERW> PoF+BOS u should keep that for 20s +

I haven't played GA since beta, but then you still cast it on ST. Depends on how much RP you are at, if you're in no danger of dropping BoS, then it is better to FSC, if your BoS is in danger of falling then you Oblit.

If I keep it on CD like before it's a DPS loss - I think due to the lost Rune and GCD that could have been used on some better ability. Am I over thinking it or am I on the right track? Is there even a point to casting RW at all? I almost want to take off my bars because I keep hitting it on cooldown due to old muscle memory and I think I am getting wrecked by other DKs that almost never cast it. Your input would be appreciated.
Afaik RW is DPS neutral without GS. I still recommend not casting it, because it messes with your rune recharge slightly, but it shouldn't be a DPS loss
Nightfury NOR Exactly this. The rime chance is higher and the crit damage is higher as well. Even with 5 razorice stacks, obliterate still hits harder and frostscythe is only good for multi-target damage

Hey mate do you mind explaining the reasoning behind using erw first? If you pillar first then you can instantly cast breath and erw at the same time since they're both off the gcd
On your opener you will spend 5 runes, so you lose nothing by immediately popping ERW after to be able to roll right into bos. Tbh, the order doesn't make too much of a difference, but I found this ideal
Might make one later on, but I don't PvP much. Either way, I would only make a guide if I were to push glad, which I probably won't have too much time to do during the first season

That is not true. Cold Heart outsims Icy Talons by a good margin. Attack speed is good, but it provides too little damage compared to a Pillar-buffed Cold Heart
Hi...about this, i tried to use cold heart as u explain, after pillar (when is 1 sec left) and with proc of unholy strenght but i hit like 18-24k of damage... is that possible or im doing something wrong? Maybe i have low crit?
For ppl crying, l2p dks,frost is a machine in single target scenario pulling 22k+ and solid 11/12k without cds. In aoe u can manage bos and FWF easy and melt shit with FSC crits,even on simc we are middle/high on dps char. For haste problems: raidbot is ur friend, haste is my last stat,crit/mastery are bis for now.
I could provide you with proof that this stat weight is just as good, but I suppose it would be of no use. Until raid opens you should go with mastery > haste anyway
Never ever play full aoe with Frost DK its way loss dps ur will be in keys good at mobes then at boss ? so bad even at raid good at adds so bad at boss as single U can play as single target and just get 1~2 as max for aoe as Frost DK if u want do really good damage after all means over all when u done at ur idea will be fail and never work at high keys or at myhtic bosses raid
OPENER CORRECTION: 3x Obliterate > wait 2-3 seconds > ERW > BoS+PoF

Frost has a lot of downtime, especially at low gear. Even at higher gear, bos build will have pretty significant downtime

There aren't any. All the general ones can be set up for specific classes, like ElvUI, WeakAuras, and whatever nameplate addon you choose

No, because either way you are using it during BoS, and since it basically lasts the entire duration of your BoS it is optimal to use it before

why not double rune of razorice?
You only need 1x to get 5 stacks on the target. Having 2x doesn't help you at all

Scythe some dks say that its onlu good for 8 targets. I dont know who to trust cuz icy-veins guides are bad too (this time at least)
FSC is equal damage to Oblit with KM proc on ST (but lower rime procs). On 2 targets tho I would always scythe

I don't really have preferred stats. I just stack mastery>crit as much as I can. A bit of haste makes the spec smoother though

Frost is probably easier to pick up imo, but I prefer Unholy.

Yeah frost is definitely doing very good damage
icy veins said haste was main stat....that explains a lot of why my dps is so fucking bad
