Love your UI in general, While looking at your spreadsheet on waio and such the update dates are back in June and July. Are these still fully functional? Do you plan on updating these with any new changes along with your elvui profile. Or will these on your spreadsheet still function with no problems I ask because i've noticed slight performance drop in fps when loading some.
Great video! I'm glad that someone else recognizes the power of bone storm in five man content. One thing I'd like to add is the importance of the new Deaths Advance. It's worth mentioning that this ability is not only a movement speed increase but makes us immune to knockbacks and displacement effects that can mess up our positioning. Effective usage of this ability makes annoying dungeons like Tol Dagor, Freehold and Motherlode a lot easier.
Great video very detailed without a lot of pointless banter straight forward and to the point with helpful tips and tricks def subbed and liked... Thanks!
I picture blood dks as insane madmen who laugh in the face of pain bc they are masochists. "Slice me will you? Ha! I'll heal it and make a shield out of my lost blood! Git gud sun!" - blood dks2018
A tip for future guides... I was watching this at work, and haven't played DK for quite a while, so when you're talking about the talents, I only had a vague idea of what each did. So maybe add the tooltip for the talents you're talking about so people can more easily follow along. (Those who know all the talents backwards and forwards and upside down, probably don't need a tank guide in the first place.)
2 things. 1: Thanks for the guide its been helpful 2: What add-on is that you use for your health bar/opponents/runes/runic power/etc? Keep up the videos! This was beyond helpful to me as I just started playing WoW again after about 3 years and decided to use my 115 boost on a DK and wanted to start Tanking.
LOVE The vid! Also, I was wondering if you can answer a question for me, I watched you BFA ElvUI Setup, When I import it, it looks really bad due to my low resolution (1280x720) Do you know any fix for this? I'm still new to this so I wouldn't know how to scale it down or re-position stuff to match your UI with my resolution (1280x720)
Not sure how to resolve that issue. I suppose try changing your res to 1920x1080, import, then change res back? Might scale it properly. Otherwise I'm not sure what the optimal way of importing it would be
When you show the clip of when you pull bosses does I want to do that in Lich King deugeons if i have the spells? trying to start getting into tanking just looking for a little bit of help
So which is better for Blood-DK tanking in Mythic+ dungeons. The Freehold 2h sword or the King's Rest 2h sword? Please also explain why you think that, thanks mates.
I don't have the KR weapon, so I can't say for sure. At lower ilvl (when I tested it) the healing was basically non-existant, and the damage was pretty minimal as well. For pure damage purposes it might be ahead of the freehold weapon, but overall I would always take the Freehold weap
I having problem with a group of mobs Difficult to maintain boneshield, the charges drops very fast and i dont have time enough to get runic power with hearthstrike to spend wirh deathstrike to heal. At the most of the times, my life almost hit 0 or i die.
You say a talent is good, but I have no idea what the talent does... a description of each talent would be nice, at least for the ones you are recommending.
You can get away without using macros on Blood DK. I only use a few, which are /cast @cursor Death and Decay , and /cast [@mouseover, exists] Gorefiend's Grasp; Gorefiend's Grasp
ElvUI has nice nameplates, as well, fully customizable. For tanks, I believe it starts off, enemies health is red normal, but when agro'd on tank, it turns green meaning you're doing your job right.
@@mwch4554 if I'm thinking right mastery is what effects our shields from DS. Also the 6% heal is somewhat negligible given it's a proc and could happen when you don't even need it. In my mind the choice is 5%stam 5% str 5%armor passively (all useful for a tank) or sometimes having a small heal and 15% str. To me the passive heavily outweighs a random chance proc.
Dont ever open with taunt, absolutely asinine. It literally generates zero threat. All it does is brings you just over the next highest persons threat level. As your first casted ability its literally worthless. Dont encourage stupidity.
Hey bud, I see you're someone with a strong opinion about something you don't understand, so let me help you out. If you ever read the tooltip of taunt, or noticed that when you taunt it leaves a debuff on the target, you would know that taunting provides extra threat generation for 3 seconds. Now it's perfectly normal to not taunt on pull if you have shit dps who will never precast, but unless you want the boss to walk towards the dps, and maybe smack them if they are melee, or the other tank end up with aggro when you're supposed to be holding, then go ahead and skip using taunt.

great video as always, thanks for this! have been slightly unsure since prepatch when it comes to blood, feel a lot more comfortable taking it on now!

True, DA has quite a few uses in M+. Seems like they added a lot of knockback mechanics
Thanks heaps for video, have been trying my hand at tanking with Blood DK lately and this helped a lot.

I will try to incorporate that for the next patch, thx for the input.
There's a whole lot of plate wearers in that party.
Yeah, we armor stack groups so we can trade gear to each other :)
Thank you, I've learned a lot about blood dks.
Even if i know all the stuff you say, it was a great guide, subbed!
Good video dude. Very informative.
Thanks for the great video.

More good content. Good shit dude.
Hyperion, what’s the name of the scythe you’re transmogged into? :) (Also very good video, many thanks)
Thanks, its the Scythe of the Unmaker from Argus mythic.
Hi great video thanks for sharing.
Made me sub! Thumbs UP!
Hey , can you give us the link for the weakauras download? .
Also are you using elvui ? If yes can we download your profile?

Hyperion Gaming, Thanks!
Can you give me some tips on Blood DK arena 2v2/ 3v3
Does anyone know where that mog is from
Any chance you can tell me the name of that transmog you got on your 2h? Great vid as always
immer welche Hes using the Scythe of the Unmaker from Argus, but he has the mythic version of it
What would you say is the soft cap for haste when we should start gemming and enchanting for vers?
It is something ridiculous like 82%, so you will never get to the soft cap.
Alright cool. I wasnt sure how big of a difference vers made in our self healing
I having problem with a group of mobs

Sound like you might have low haste. Maintaining boneshield should be #1 priority, only HS if you have open runes
Why not the stoneskin gargoyle weapon enchant?
I don't think the stats and armor outweigh the big str proc with some self heal. Just a question of throughput gain
@@Hyperion29 had that same thought. Friend of mine uses SSG but I feel it's not high enough mitigation to care.
@@Hyperion29 as someone with terrible luck, sometimes fallen crusader only proc like once in a 5 minute fight that's why I prefer stone skin

what addons do you use?
Thanks man great video

I'm trying to get into m+ tanking for some higher keys. Would you recommend me picking up DH or DK?
I've heard both are valid options for m+.
pls a dk unholy pvp guide :C
I was already doing all these things but I still feel way squishy compared to legion.
Compared to Legion all tanks will feel squishy. We lost a lot of self healing tools
What name plates are those for the mobs?
I just use ElvUI
ElvUI has nice nameplates, as well, fully customizable. For tanks, I believe it starts off, enemies health is red normal, but when agro'd on tank, it turns green meaning you're doing your job right.
You skipped the 90 row on dungeon talents. Why?
Mistake in the edit, but currently bloodworms is best in basically all situations.
Is rune of the fallen crusader really the rune for our 2 hander? The tank one feels like it would be better defensively. 5% all stats and 5% armor.
Dereck Shaw strength is better, larger heals, larger shields, and more dps . The first two out weigh any 5% stat or armor
@@mwch4554 if I'm thinking right mastery is what effects our shields from DS. Also the 6% heal is somewhat negligible given it's a proc and could happen when you don't even need it. whit addons its best for tank DK
Blood and Frost should swap roles
Blood should be dps and Frost should be tank
I thought tombstone was a good talent
