Perfect execution of this song on drums. Sometimes Vinnie starts a fill and has no idea where it’s going it seems, then the fill just comes out perfect and accurate.....brilliant drumming in it’s simplicity
the setup is just weird. I mean, just remove those back 3 guys and let's hear Vinnie by himself. I'd enjoy that more anyway. Or play to the orig track minus drums. Just sayin that low volume with the guy singing who sounds so plain compared to the DIO of metal singing.... sigh.... Vinnie is kind of mechanical in his playing but he's on time and strong. I mean he's got some finesse in there in places but he reminds me of a machine.
Not pointless, for help in the aid of cramping hands,fatigue and drummers do get blisters from rubbing sticks which switching the stick into another position of the fingers helps. Obviously you’re not a drummer to know those things.

Almost like a smirky 'count this' kinda of show off attitude. The drumming on Holy diver and last in line is so live, you feel it'll jump out of your speakers after 200 times of listening to it (per year) since release...

This is probably the best drumming I have ever seen Vinny do. He may not be a Thomas Lang or Mike Mangini but he is a really creative rock drummer. His fills are extraordinary. They are often outside of the box and accent the music really well. Many people like to bash him when he solos (admittedly they aren't the best) but I think he is at his best playing songs. That's where his genius lies.
His main signature is his perfect drag behind the beat, making him the ultimate HEAVY drummer for the styles of Sabbath and Dio. Also a prime example of how less is more. You don't realize how crazy technical he is until you start analyzing what he plays.
Interesting that he puts his index finger OVER the stick on his right hand a number of times in this video. I wonder if he has hand issues or mabye his hands are cramping up. Excellent drumming.

Vinny does not get the credit he deserves! I love the variety and complexity of his “Fills” which is where he is the most Creative! So what if his “Solos” aren’t as long or intense as other drummers, he’s still an AWESOME DRUMMER!
The best thing we can all do is not listen to everybody else this man can play like no other he makes it look effortless to me he would be the best drum instructor I love the way you plays he's in my top five
