Ice fished once for Kokanee in Echo Lake, MT. Very productive night trip; crazy good bite after 10pm. We also used tungsten teardrops, tipped with a single spike (maggot). Great eating fish!!
BEAUTIFUL CHAR!! I caught 2 on South Hampton Island in the Nunavut territory on a caribou hunt. Excellent eating. Can tell its a char. Just like a Brook trout. Awesome vid!

Glad you enjoy the vids 😊
Love that Wesley takes a snack break mid fight on the first fish. Looks like a grind, but very epic for those rare species.
Wesley is alwYs snacking 😂
I was still bagged on this trip, did a massive trip before Sean got here scouting spots we could get and looking for big fish
@@weskyle5276 love it. Thanks for sharing those awesome fish with us.
Sean spent that night snacking on Arctic Char I’m guessing.
What lake is this? I wasn’t aware of any lake close to Whitehorse with all 3 species stocked….i know a few lakes like that close to Ross river

Only because of Wesley, these vids would of never happened!!! Best friend ever!!!!
@@fishinggeeks i agree... i never met the guy but feel like i've fished with him in my dreams so many times haha.
Great stuff, man. Such a cool place to go up and fish
It’s becoming one of my favourite places to fish lol
I wonder if Wesley ever uses a little flashing spoon above the tungsten for kokanee like we do here in BC? Quite effective.
I have in the past, fishing early season was crazy numbers. This was a last minute audible, my heart was set on more big lakers 😋
Congrats in your first Artic Char
I knew you were up in the YT and I have been waiting for this video to drop 😂
This is just one quick vid from the trip. The other 2 vids will be a lot longer and have way better fish lol 😊
awesome vid
Thank you 🙏
So sick
here in the lower part of Alaska we have tons of kokenee and char/dollys big ones…

As someone who lives in Whitehorse, I think you might have over dramaticised the intro... I will never tell 🤫
