So that's where I parked my truck! LOL. Trout and perch is a good combo, where I live it's splake and perch. We don't have any browns in NW Ontario. Good stuff!
I thought when you saw that truck you get outta dodge and go to another spot! :P I hammered Brookies and browns last week. But I fished with jerk jerk pause 2 seconds then jerk jerk pause. They wanted a little pause now that it’s may I speed it up.
Awesome video. I’ve always been nervous to drive a vehicle on that lake for the same reason. Looks like it’s time to go back and try for some of those browns again!
Little late to the game here but did I see a Spider-Man tackle box on your boat? My son had one that looked exactly like that. Before it blew off my boat on a gravel road coming home. Sad little man when we got home and unloaded to not find his tacklebox
I've known 3 people in the last 3 decades who've completely submerged their trucks through the ice (only one left this late in the year though, and on Last Mountain Lake in Sask.). Once departments of fisheries and oceans gets involved, a person gets fined for the the oil from both differentials, crankcase, & the transmission (all having breather tubes). Then you've got the rescue equipment (tow truck or barge-type lifting apparatus). The last guy had a 2019 ford ranger and the total bill was around $10,000 all said and done. Fine from the fed's came about a year later he said. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes
Who drives on the ice in mid April? That is the month of walk on in the morning and swim off in the afternoon. I imagine the fine on the owner for not retreiving that truck is going to be huge.
Not smart to drive out in April or middle of April lol but If ice was to unsafe to retrieve it they wait for open water to retrieve them , as had a truck go threw match 31st and ice wasn’t safe to retrieve so they left it , when divers and everyone was finally ready to retrieve it then they did they removed it may long weekend ,
@@fishinggeeksI was fishing the river and 100% thinking I wonder if said lake was ice free yet! It should go quick! But you have an inside man checking it!!
I wouldn't want the recovery bill for that. It's definitely coming out....at the owner's expense. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Driving on the ice in Mid-April...lol.
If ice was to unsafe they usually wait til ice comes off to retrieve vehicles , then also depends when divers and everyone can do it , as had a truck go threw on a lake by me in Saskatchewan the one year on March 31st and the ice wasn’t safe to retrieve it , so they left it , they finally removed it may long weekend ,
We seen him parked over there I made a post on instagram stating we didn’t think he was goin to make it back to the launch …. Guess he didn’t.,,,there was 10 inches of ice that day maybe
@@fishinggeeks He was ok, he is very stubborn. apparently they are making an attempt to get it out in 2 weeks. Im going to help him try and retrieve his belongings from the truck on friday and hopefully even a brown or 2
It was reported that day to fish and wildlife. And the speed limit on the lake is 10km/ hr. So people abiding by the law will see this long before they hit it. My boat was floating on top of it no problem.
"YOU CANT PARK THERE" 😂😂😂

I think i saw you their lol! You gave us a few perch we were fishing from shore 😂
Like my stellar park job ma?
Crazy find!
Not surprised it’s a dodge
Dodge is where all the fish are at . We tried at the ford and got skunked
Hi Sean and team, I have information about the owner of the truck you found at the bottom of Lake Obed. write me please.
Who drives on the ice in mid April? That is the month of walk on in the morning and swim off in the afternoon. I imagine the fine on the owner for not retreiving that truck is going to be huge.
Exactly what I was thinking.

Jim Beattie wants to know if you need a special license for a " lake truck" !!??

It's crazy to think it's just been sitting there so long
Probably straight out from the launch as well just before the channel. Hardly even worth driving out there. It's maybe a five minute walk.
@@peacecountryoutdoors8763 exactly. What's the point , some people I tell ya
@@peacecountryoutdoors8763wow just 5 min walk? Damn why he risk it like that.

😂
Looks like they "Dodged" the weather we have now

10 inches in April is suicidal to drive on lol
10” of rotten ice.
What lake is this ?
i worry about the oil, fluids and gas that will inevitably escape into the lake.
Yup me too. Hopefully it gets recovered. But it’s so far from shore and gonna be so stuck in the mud, I feel like is not going anywhere
It's diesel
@@ДенисЧерба-з7к its gasoline. The owner of the car told you not to come to Edson anymore
im looking to sell a mink condition dodge ram 1500. its parked at the bottom of the boat launch...
😂😂
😂
Obed lake. I know who's owner😂😂😂
😂😂 I’m assuming he is safe from the incident
Dang
Shame i acctually know the guy who put that truck through. Told him not to but he refused to listen
Hopefully he wasn’t injured. Some people will never listen. Lol

what jerkbait?
This is a shimano rerange
Why the hell didn't you put a marker like an old bleach bottle on a rope so people don't run into it
