This is pretty much my current Skyrim character. Breton vampire lord archmage assassin, level 77, completed all the main questlines, but I'm not ready to retire him. Now I'm just going from town to town doing all those random little quests like bringing Temba Wide-Arm her bear pelts. Here's this undead creepy guy with glowing eyes, black robes, and a wicked staff just helping farmers pick crops.
The set up for Death Knight is so well constructed. The fear for sweet Phoenix, and then the long, slow subversion into increasingly cute moments. Boop! Thank you adventurer!
Idk if you will see this but if so, did you write any fanfic about this? I thought it was so cute and I really want to read some. Anyway enjoy your day
It took me so long to realize that it's little Phoenix, taming the death knight. We were left wanting to see more of her after the wraith princess was returned to her parents by Baelin.
YES! Quick, film it before the weather gets too warm! They can go fishing with Baelin, and fly kites. They can make bread together, and do that thing where you get flour on each other , but it doesn't make death knight's skin any lighter. And he's wearing an apron, with frills. Another Death Knight catches him frolicking in a meadow with her, and he just gives them the ups and frolicks off in slow motion, holding Phoenix's hand. They both eat apples they stole from the orchard, swinging their legs from a tree fallen over a creek. Death Knight resurrects a stillborn calf, and they feed it milk together. Final episode, Death Knight dies saving her, and that's her spark moment for becoming more self aware. When he respawns, she's so relieved she cries and hugs him. They both look at each other, with confusion, and greater understanding... ominous music plays. Story arc done.
Each new episode is death Knight looking ground down by the bleakness of quests, and then the next shot is him back in Honeywood, and Phoenix's maiden smiling happily and giving him another adorable quest. And each time it's a little harder for him to tear himself away from the cuteness and lovely little life that Honeywood gives him glimpses of. Last episode is him literally removing a crown of bones and looking at it, then tossing it away, and putting on the flower crown Phoenix gave him previous episode, before he turns up in front if her again.
