The flare machine actually works if you want to know (OR already know) how to do GYMNASTIC flares. The technique that works best on that machine is based on gymnastic flares NOT bboy flares. I used it and because of my gymnastics background it was easy to use. However, my bboy friend had a big problem doing it because of the different leg timing and hip lock. He could not time his leg swing and body lean. If you do gymnastics, you will learn from doing mushroom circles that flares is about the leg swing and body lean.
Interesting perspective! Thanks for sharing! In breaking we don’t use to scissor/swing the legs too much in the flare but keep them widely open and ‘lock’ them instead. This could be one of the main reasons
@@KaioFalcrow Correct. In gymnastics the leg swing is where the power of flares comes from NOT locked hips. It is why gymnastc find it hard to do airflares. The gymnasts that do achieve airs are usually VERY good at mannas and Russian levers (as well as transitioning in and out of those moves) because these moves use hip control and power the way bboys do. The only bboys that do flares like gymnasts are the old school brazilian powerheads.
Hi Kaio, can I send you a video of my windmill? I really need some tips, my head never lifts and my legs are wide and straight but I can't make it faster.
It’s because everyone in this video is doing it incorrect. It even says once you purchase the equipment that you do not want to be moving around all crazy like everyone has been doing in the video. With all due respect. They encourage you like you was explaining to stay in one place Which I think is on track with how to use the machine. I also believe that learning flares and air flares correctly versus how you have been training without the machine is also appoint that you have made and is in line with the instructions on how to use the machine. It’s not a hack at all. It’s conditioning those specific muscle groups to achieve the same result. Here’sa funny example. Look up Anatoly the body builder. They have the extremely muscular guys in gym lifting these heavy weights. Then Anatoly pretends he’s cleaning and literally move the same weight with 1 hand sometimes. My point is that just because you learned it one way doesn’t mean it’s the only way. Sometimes there may even be better ways is all I’m saying. Thanks for the insight
I agree with the moving around part. It was surely difficult to do it correctly, even if I can do Flares very easily, with the machine it's way harder than without for me. Besides that, I'm not so sure about the muscle groups used. The position is slightly different from real Flares, since your feet are hanging from the machine. In real Flares I feel different muscles working than on the machine and the intensity and the feeling of the movement is also much different. I don't know enough people who learned Flares with this machine to say that it's really working.

Thank you so much! :)

Only if you know how to flare lol. Definitely would be hard for a beginner.
you can also do flares here if you can't do flares, but the feeling is different. I see this more as a workout for flares :)
Interesting. I thought with the flare machine it wouldn't be necessary to use your muscles that much. But it's actually the opposite. Nice video. :D
Thanks!! :)
yes its very useful

dont look natural but can work for the posture
Spinge troppo verso il centro, constringendoti a controruotare. Forse, se fosse appesa a 10m, funzionerebbe meglio.
bisognerebbe fare diversi test di altezza :D
