    This has been the hardest power move for me for years. I almost quit because I couldn't get this move mastered. I could only do one rotation.The coordination is the challenge. In my opinion this might be the best tutorial on flares. Thanks.

    Yo! Good stuff. I agree with the stretching topic. I heard about if you stretch before a workout(weight lifting) you're actually weaker. I'm not 100% sure if that's true. I understand why I heard it though.
    Let's say we are weaker. I think with an effective approach to hitting those moves is still very good. That means do your best to have good technique.
    For anyone having trouble(like me) with stretching, try dynamic stretches after that 15 min warm up. There's a difference between static and dynamic stretching. I think static is stationary stretching. While dynamic is kind of like doing wide armed push up, jumping jacks, squats, etc.

      Zen says too much warm up and stretching is not advisable in weight lifting. And power lifting.

    Great video! You can practice the L-sit on the rings, too. I assume straightening the arms while holding the L-sit is crucial. Really great advice about stretching. I haven't done the flares in a long time, but I remember that when I had stronger arms, it was much easier to do several flares. I need to build up the arm strength to do it again because I have no problems with the kicks and going around (because I am good at the windmill). I also remember I did them better when I leaned backward as my legs came around the front and forwards when they came through the back. I'll try to learn them again! Thanks!

    *make a video about all your tricking videos*
    order them by what is easiest to begin with, what requires more strength, mobility or coordination etc.
    You have dozen of videos and i really want to begin learning, but i don't know with what.
    I am in good shape but have no tricking experience at all.
    Love your vids. Love your hobbies. Want them too.

    I've learned flares in a month, but it's been 2 years now and I still don't have clean flares, they're high and my foot doesn't touch the ground, but when I go to the back of the flare, I still tuck my leg in, I guess I'm just not flexible enough, can barely do a 45° when I'm doing that leg stretch. I can do 2 flares, 5 at most, but after 2, my legs get lower. I'll definitely try these tips, thank man!

    • @killaure3347
      @killaure3347 6 років тому

      it is normal, it will take 2-3 weeks minimum of 20-30min of daily pratice to achieve ONE clean round, then some what more time to achieve multiple rounds. (1 clean round took me 1 month, >5 almost a year)

      Jon Wick they are definitely not necessary. If you want a little more protein in your diet you could take some whey protein but creatine is no where near necessary. Getting your daily recommended protein is very much achievable without supplements.
