i work on a show and we have people called "location managers" who have to find the locations that is described, check with the surrounding neighbors if filming will be okay on certain dates, look for spots for lunch, dinner, trailers, etc the week before shooting, and when actually shooting, anytime theres an issue or someone needs to find out where something is, they call for the location manager. ive had to call the location manager for a Karen who changed her mind about us filming a scene across the street. she would only change her mind if her three teenage "roommates" / friends ????? (she was in her late 40s) can come eat with the cast and crew when we call for lunch. instead, we gave them a plate and then told them all to fuck off when it was time for us to eat, cuz we were done filming anyway that felt SO good lol this was my longgggasss story time with the answer to your question hidden somewhere in there :D
It fit their budget, their location, and fit their floor plan needs. But I'm pretty sure they didn't buy the house because of the history so that they could hide it from the people.

You mean why?
Idk
i work on a show and we have people called "location managers" who have to find the locations that is described, check with the surrounding neighbors if filming will be okay on certain dates, look for spots for lunch, dinner, trailers, etc the week before shooting, and when actually shooting, anytime theres an issue or someone needs to find out where something is, they call for the location manager. ive had to call the location manager for a Karen who changed her mind about us filming a scene across the street. she would only change her mind if her three teenage "roommates" / friends ????? (she was in her late 40s) can come eat with the cast and crew when we call for lunch.
instead, we gave them a plate and then told them all to fuck off when it was time for us to eat, cuz we were done filming anyway
that felt SO good
lol this was my longgggasss story time with the answer to your question hidden somewhere in there :D
It fit their budget, their location, and fit their floor plan needs. But I'm pretty sure they didn't buy the house because of the history so that they could hide it from the people.
Still my number ONE holiday film both Home Alone 1 & 2. This will always be in my heart. So many happy childhood memories with this film. 💖💟💞👨👩👧👦😙😍🤗
So the people who brought the house had no interest in its story and has no interest in the fans, but they undoubtedly paid well over the market value for the house because it's such a famous house so I don't know if I'm missing something..
Exactly!! People are saying it’s their house, their privacy, etc. But seriously? Obviously they paid more for this house knowing it was in a famous movie. And they don’t want a bunch of people looking at it?? Maybe should have thought of it before buying a famous house?
Maybe they're big fans themselves and it was their dream to live there but they don't want to have to answer to people coming every single day.
I'm 64 still watching it .I took my daughter to see it . Audience was laughing so hard. Miss good movies.
Not to sound ungrateful, but did the owners of this footage explain why they waited so long to share it?
they probably just had no idea how or felt like they didnt have a reason to up until the news crew came by and asked the neighbors questions about the house which was likely the original piece they were gonna shoot until they got the JUICEEEE.
ok that was lame of me sorry
Best one of the HomeAlones and really the only one I like to watch every year.
Wow... The recording they did of the production is priceless!
I watch Home alone 1 & 2 VHS format every day after thanksgiving to the 12th day of Christmas. I play the movies in my bedroom, even if I am not watching it. It never gets old.
If you don't want attention to your home..or house dont buy a famous house just like The Back to the Future house
Best Christmas movie ever and the neighbors footage is so neat great story!
They never even filmed inside the house. That build a replica of it inside a school gym.
I was about to go look that up, thank you. I figured they would only do the outdoor shots here.
Wow this is amazing that this couple has that footage. One of the best Christmas movies made.
Made my childhood christmas even more memorable
I was 9 when this movie came out and yes now I watch it with my kids….great family tradition!
This video has pleased me. ⭐
How lucky this family 🥰 Home Alone is my forever favorite 🏡🤍
Does the family who live in the house not understand how much of an honor their given?
Grew up watching this every year around Christmas, I’m 32 now. It has been A Christmas tradition with my 4 children since the day they were born and they will do it with their future families. I wonder how many generations this tradition will survive.
Great memories 2020
A movie of the making of the movie of a movie..surreal beyond words.
