Nice demonstration. I had to rewatch this to see if mine was working right. They may have some quality control problems... I bought one from amazon and it worked great for a day. The next day it worked for a little but then stopped producing smoke. I assume maybe the heating element burned out. Returned it for replacement and tried it out yesterday. On this one, the flow control potentiometer doesnt do anything. The bubble in the gauge goes all the way up when turned up and turning the dial has no effect. Its probably disconnected inside but I'll just do one nore return and hopefully get a good one.
I'm not sure you need a whole 120psi. I think if there's a leak, there's simply a leak. It's not like systems are designed with leaks in then lol. That's why I'm here searching smoke machines. I'm fixing air leaks in giant cat scrapers. I've gone very far with soapy water, but even then it can be difficult to find some leaks. Rather than removing ever panel to search for small fittings inside the firewall. I can hook it to the supply hose and wait for a smoke trail
You arent going to be able to put pressure in the intake. The only way is if all the valves are in the closed position which is impossible. All you did was fill the area with smoke. Eventually that smoke would make its way out of the exhaust. Now if you did this test on an EVAP system with the vent commanded closed, then you could build pressure.
Mine did not come with any liquid at all. I would read the bottle and the instructions before use. If it doesn't look right then just toss the liquid. Baby oil is super cheap to buy and will not damage the machine.
A quick note on these Chinese evap testers. They put out way to much pressure for evap testing. The maximum pressure for the evap system is .5 psi or around 13.0 in. H20. The Ancel is putting out way over .5 psi. Anything over 7 psi can damage pressure sensors and or blow off hoses. 14 psi is OK for intake and exhaust testing but way to high for evap.
teachers are a special people thank you
Awesome review!

Mine was junk to it never built pressure or blew constant smoke there junk
I'd love to have one capable of using shop air pressure of at least 120psi for tractor trailer air systems, especially fuel tanker air systems.
This does have a pretty strong air pump built in so it should do the trick. Saves the trouble of an air hose dangling.
They do exist . The Ancel S100 is the one you're looking for.
No gauges though.
@@HaggisMuncher-69-420 thanks

Yeah, it's only a demonstration not an actual test.
Just block the exhaust pipe...
Hello sir, so it's been a year since you posted this review, what are your thoughts on the Ancel S3000 now? Are you still satisfied with it?
Yes, I think it does a fantastic job. No complaints.
@@ModernDIYProjects Wow I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for the review and the response to my question.
Mine came with black liquid ! Should i put it in instead of the oil? Or what?

wont pressurize because valves ina cyl are open.
Very good! No one else has caught on to that up to now.
Was in a drinking game . . had to take a shot every time he said, “this guy.” Ended up in the ER with alcohol poisoning. It wasn’t pretty.
