Glad I found this video. I'm on my 2nd Uflex helm in less than 6 months- both leaked. Haven't even had the chance to take it out on the water yet.
    Uflex helms are overpriced junk.

Thank you very much for the detailed video, it’s going to help me fix my leaking helm on my Ranger Tug 27.

Your welcome, glad to help. It’s been a solid repair and hasn’t leaked a drop since. Thanks for watching!!!

Same exact problem I'm having. Did you ever find a replacement seal? I can't seem to find one. Sounds like the silicone did the trick

I wasn’t able to find the seal and honestly stopped looking when the silicone proved to be a decent repair after a few weeks. Silicone definitely did the trick. Thanks for watching!!!

Thanks for sharing this fix. I’m looking at exactly the same leak on a fairly new ultraflex helm. Any thoughts on using a gasket maker rtv silicone? Thanks again!

No problem. Glad the video is helping someone out. There’s really no reason rtv won’t work as long as the surfaces clean and oil free. Thanks for watching!!!

Nice video, where did you get the filler adapter for the helm?
    Thanks

Thank you, most marine stores will sell them or you can search (sea star hydraulic steering fill kit). They are a little expensive for what are. Thank you for watching and commenting!!!
