    Thank you Kelly for sharing the Barbie clothes you brought back great memories of my childhood. My mom knit and crochet clothes for my doll also, unfortunately I dont have them. I am 65 and she would have been 100 Sunday. Great show you and Noelle do.

    Thanks both of you for the podcast! Kelli, I am a left handed crocheter as well. Kudos on learning from a right handed book. I just could not wrap my head around right handed crochet, I’m a skilled and lifelong needlewoman, and I was super confused being shown right handed, and it wasn’t until I got a leaflet at my big box craft store that was a ‘learn to crochet left handed’. I still can’t crochet right handed. I do a lot of things right handed, but not that. So often my projects are backward, but that makes little difference at times. Your crochet Barbie doll clothes are priceless. I have a collection my mother sewed for me, just exquisite stuff. Not sure a good way to preserve it. I thought of a shadow box. Anyway, appreciate you showing those treasures, and congrats on raising a son who recognized you might be interested in them.

      Thank for the lovely feedback! The shadow box idea is a great one that I had not considered! I do most things right handed too but my brain can only support left handed crochet!😆

    Loved the Barbie clothes, Kelly....Thank you for sharing! Also, Noelle, For the Marie Wallin sweater... if cannot color the chart, you can write the color symbol on the yarn ball label for each color to try and keep it all straight in your mind....Good luck with it! So excited to see how you are coming along with it! I really love your podcast and hope you both do many more together! I missed your live one, so thank you for posting after so I could still enjoy it!

      Thank you so much for watching! I will definitely be writing the symbols on the ball bands, especially since the some of the colours are close. I have a few things to finish before I start the sweater, but I’m really looking forward to it, the yarn and the colours are beautiful.

    Hi Noelle. I don’t have that particular Marie Wallin book but I do have the Shetland book and it says somewhere that you can get a pdf copy of the book and gives you an email address to send your request to. I did that and I was then able to put the Yell cardigan pattern into KnitCompanion and knit it very successfully. So hopefully if you look in your book, it will have the same thing. I think it was near the end of the book somewhere.

      Thanks so much. That is awesome, going to check that out right now. Just figured out how to colour a graph using the Magic Marker feature on Knit Companion so if I can get the PDF I’ll be all set. I also have the Shetland book and Yell is definitely on my list.

    Hello- I am new to your podcast and I enjoyed it very much and learned a few new things. Kelly- thanks for sharing your Barbie clothes that you made; they were adorable. It reminded me of all the knit and sewed pierces that my mom and my aunt used to make for my favorite doll and Snoopy stuffed animal. Lovely memories.

    Lovely ladies, thank you so much for another podcast. It’s so helpful - UK will be in lockdown until March so I’m spending all my time with the knitting community.
    I love knitting socks but I have been on a sweater kick (plus I usually knit them during meetings and surprisingly there were v little in Jan). I hope that I’ll be able to join your KAL soon - I miss knitting socks.
    Thank you so much again for the podcast and brightening up my days 🤗

      Thanks so much for the lovely comments Laura! I don’t know what we would have done without knitting during this pandemic! Socks are a wonderful project for Zoom knitting, or any time when you have to concentrate on something else but still want to knit. Luckily I have a lot of knitworthy people in my life who appreciate handknit socks.

    So great to watch your latest podcast.
    Kelly, I have the exact same Knitting Dictionary (800 stitches) that I remember buying in Montreal when my daughter was just a baby. That was 48 years ago!!! I referred to it a lot before Internet but picked it up again last night, looking for a shawl stitch pattern. Noelle, you never cease to amaze me with all that knitting going on! :-) Those Briggs & Little socks are very tempting indeed.
    Keep up the great work ladies; I have February 7 noted in my agenda. Looking forward to that!

    Thanks for sharing! Kelly - I had an old makeup suitcase like that for my Barbie's too. It was red and I have no idea what happened to it. My husband found a white one at a thrift store and bought it for me - I now use it to hold all my circular needles. I'd like to be able to attend the Live event, but I've booked myself into a class at the same time through KnitSocial. Have fun, I'd like to be able to join another one in the future.

    Our photocopier at work will email a pdf of a photocopy. I think it would be better than a photo for KnitCompanion, but I could be wrong. That's what I'd do for the Marie Wallin pattern. Her charts are gruesome. But, oh, the sweaters! If you figure out a way to make the chart in colour, I would be very interested.

    • @KnitsnPieces
      @KnitsnPieces  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you Ruth, I just figured out how to colour a graph in KnitCompanion, using the Magic Marker feature, now I just need to determine the best way to get a PDF of the pattern into the KnitCompanion app. Another viewer let me know that there is info at the back of the Marie Wallin pattern book that gives info on getting the PDF, I think I am going to explore that option.
