So lovely hearing Nancy's story. Thank you all very much for another wonderful podcast. I like Nancy's play with cables in the 'Let's Stay Home' socks, the clever floats in the 'Wintery Woods' socks, and the 'Tits Up' socks look so good too!
Nancy has amazing patterns
I can not choose just one pattern, I just love them all!!!
Catching up from vacation and really enjoyed Nancy and her great socks.
What fun to catch you all three together! I really enjoy both podcasts and that’s because the hosts are engaging! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the podcast, I enjoy it every week. What beautiful patterns Nancy has made, especially the Blooming Lively Socks!
You are so welcome!
This was a fun episode! I love hearing how people got started in knitting and designing. All of Nancy's patterns look fun. I like the Freddy Beach Socks, Sliptastic, and Smoke in Your Eyes patterns. Of course it keeps changing the longer I look at Nancy's designs! 🤣
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you all for the podcast. Such a great way to learn about various designers. I like Nancy's Tittygaga pattern. Best wishes, knitting!
You are so welcome!
I always enjoy your podcasts and watch Nancy Wheeler’s podcast as well. Her sock patterns are all lovely, but I think my favourite would be Blooming Lovely.
Thank you Jean, Blooming Lovely is a great pattern.
Thank you all for a lovely fun KnitChat. My fav Nancy pattern is the Swiss Dot Shorties, or maybe the Blooming Lovely, or the Smoke Gets in Your eyes - or, or, or - they are all great and hit that sweet spot of enjoyable, rhythmic patterning that is just enough and not too much!
I know Sarah, it’s so hard to choose a favourite.
Kelly love your sweater and the color is beautiful on you
Thank you, that is very kind!
Thanks ladies as always. Another great episode. Nancy Wheeler is great fun and a wealth of great information. I’m ready to go and cast on one of her sock designs!❤
Our pleasure! Thanks for catching up with us Beth.
I'm so glad you gals brought Nancy onto the show. I watch her podcast along with yours. I just had a look at her patterns and the Hexi Diamond Socks are calling my name. Thank you for another fun and informative time together.
You are welcome
What a great podcast. I really like the Titigaga socks…..I’m sure it will be a new favorite for the people who love my socks. I have many knit worthy friends.
Any friend would be very lucky to receive those socks Patricia!
wonderful Episode Girls!! Always lovely to catchup on what you all are knitting on and see your beautiful FO's! I've had the privilege of testing some of Nancy's Patterns and I always come out with a very special pair of socks. 💕 Cheers to all of you and looking forward to next weeks episode! 🧶
Sophie, thank you for joining us and supporting your friend! We really enjoyed having her visit us in the studio.
Very nice to meet Nancy. So many great sock knitting tips. I have checked out her patterns and love them all but especially love her fundraiser patterns, this year's and last. I would like to make a pair for my cousin who is a breast cancer survivor. This podcast was a great reminder for many to schedule that appointment.
Thanks Karen. Knitting a pair for your cousin is a great idea!!
Thanks for a great podcast! Love Nancy and her designs. Happy knitting. ❤
You are so welcome!
Great Knit Chat episode! Loved seeing Nancy as your special guest. Her enthusiasm is infectious. It’s really hard to pick a favourite pattern. I like so many but right now Blooming Lovely and Hexie Diamonds have caught my attention.
It’s very difficult to pick a favourite!!
Thanks for having Nancy on! It was lovely to hear her journey and learn from her. I am keen to start the hexie diamond socks!
You are so welcome!

Great pattern Gena
I’m a huge fan of Nancy’s! Thank you! The Titty Gaga are my favs😍
I look forward to your podcast each week. Your FO’s and WIPS are so inspiring. I am a fan of Nancy Wheeler and recently knit By the Shore socks, absolutely lovely! I have a few more of her patterns as well. It would be a pleasure to add more patterns to my Ravelry library. Thank you for the surprise (to me) special guest!
You are so welcome! Nancy’s visit came together at the last minute as it seemed like the perfect time to showcase her patterns and help raise funds for such an important cause.
I have the Freddy Beach socks in my queue. Good luck to Nancy with her sock class. A teacher with passion usually makes for a great class.
We wish Nancy luck with her class too
I enjoyed this episode so much with all of the information on socks. I liked the Tits Up socks!
So nice to see Nancy good for her on her fundraising. While all of Nancy’s socks are lovely I like the Let’s stay home socks. I like cozy house socks.
I love cozy socks too Connie
Thank you ladies for a fun podcast. I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and I’ve been watching Nancy from her beginning. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I like the Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Wintery Woods, and Freddy Beach socks a lot.
Those are all great choices Debbie
Wow, an hour and half! Where did that time go! This was a great episode. I love all of Nancys pattern but especially like Bouctouche socks. Great job ladies!
Thank you 💕
Love Nancy’s podcast and all her patterns. I think my favourite pattern is Ravishing
That’s a beautiful pattern
Nancy's patterns are beautiful, so hard to pick a favorite! I think my first choice would have to be the Ravishing socks. I love the stitch pattern, and the sample is in such a gorgeous color.
Good choice Jessica ❤️
Lovely podcast visit with Nancy. I found her podcast about a year ago and appreciate her generosity in donating to charities during the releases of her patterns. I do have a quite a few of her recent patterns, but have not yet acquired her first few. I'm liking those Garden Fence socks. Thank you for having her on your great podcast and for sharing all the wonderful knits. Take Care.
Thanks Donna, we really enjoyed our visit with Nancy too
Thank you all for a great, fun KnitChat!(as always) I bought the Tits up socks pattern and my next favourite of Nancy's sock patterns is Sliptastic Socks. Happy knitting you all! From Sweden
You are welcome. Happy knitting to you from Canada 💕
Hello ladies! Such a fun and interesting podcast, thank you. Nancy’s patterns and yarn choices are all very nice, but I think the Swiss dots shorties and the sliptastic socks both would be challenging and fun for me.
You are so welcome Danielle. the Swiss Dot shorties may have to hop on my needles too!!
Another great knitchat. I wish I had been able to catch it live. I'm a cancer survivor (though not breast cancer), so I appreciate the fundraising that Nancy does. I love all of her sock patterns, but I think Wintery Woods and Tits Up are my favorites
Thanks for sharing Dawn, cancer is a terrible disease and affects so many lives. Nancy is doing an amazing job fundraising for this worthwhile cause
Watched Nancy’s podcast last week for the first time and purchased her Freddy Beach sock pattern. So that is my favorite pattern today. I’m sure to knit more of Nancy’s patterns in the future.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for another fantastic podcast. I love knitting socks so this was really special. My favorite Nancy Wheeler sock pattern is the Crooked cube sock pattern
You are so welcome!
It was great to meet Nancy Wheeler! By the Shore sock pattern is my favorite!
We really enjoyed having Nancy join us.
I am AML survivor, I received a bone marrow transplant Dec2014, so this will be my 10th Re-birthday in Dec, yes I get to celebrate 2 birthdays every year. I try to do a lot of fund raising for light the night. I also happen to work in clinical research and knew 2 of my Dr. at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville, TN.
I am so happy that you are celebrating your 10th Re-birthday, and wish you many, many more. Thank you so much for the fund raising you do. Cancer is such a terrible disease and has touched so many of our lives. Research and early detection is so important, thank you for all that you do.
The Titsup looks so much fun. I would love that pattern. Thanks for another great podcast!
You are so welcome! I am really enjoying knitting the Tits Up socks
What a great episode! Love that you had Nancy as your special guest, thanks to the three of you for your sock knitting tips and tricks! One of my next planned sock projects is the Hexie Diamond pattern, but love all of Nancy’s textured patterns.
Thank you so much! Hexie Diamond socks are on my list too
Love all Nancy’s designs and really enjoy her podcast. Hard to choose a favorite but if I had to pick I think it would be Sliptastic
Good choice!
Thank you for a wonderful episode. I really love the Blooming Lovely Socks.
Glad you like them!
So difficult to favor 1 pattern. Nancy's textured socks all finish beautifully. I do think the "Let's Stay Home Socks" look interesting and I would enjoy staying home to knit them 😀🥰
I totally agree! Very hard to choose
Thank you for this interesting episode!! Nancy gave so many tips. I love her Blooming Lovely Socks :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed Nancy tonight. All her patterns are beautiful. I think the Dune Grass Socks would be fun to make.
I think so too!
I love the Ravishing Socks. Thanks for a great show!
Thank you Marla! That's a great pattern.
Thank you for a lovely podcast. It was fun to hear a few sock knitting tips from each of you. I looked over all of Nancy's patterns and like the Blooming Lovely Socks. I look forward to more sock fun in the future!
You are so welcome!
My 2 favourite podcasts in one! What a treat to have all 3 of you together 😊. I love all of Nancys’ patterns but her Njord DK socks look great!
Ahh thanks Margaret!! I love her Njord DK socks too.
I missed the live tonight-I was teaching knitting! I love Nancy, her podcast is definitely in my top five. Her Blooming Lovely socks are, well, lovely!
Wonderful! It must.be so rewarding to introduce new knitters to the craft ❤️
Love Nancy and her socks. The first pair of cuff down socks I’ve knit was the stay at home socks 😊
That is such a great pattern, I think that is the first pair of nancy’s socks that I knit!!
So AGREE . That is Noelle's colour ! I find the topic of color analysis and our best seasons as far as garments to wear , so interesting, got hooked on watching youtube vids and wish I could see it when it comes myself .
Noelle looks like all the "SPRINGS" I've seen , Warm instead of Cool, and she is wearing a bit more saturation of a great colour vs a muted shade of it, just right so you see her and the colour garments at the same intensity , as one instead of the garment colour wearing her.
LOL SPRINGS are known for those colours after winter, new buds blossoming , bursting out , fits her outgoing personality too.
Thanks to Nancy for joining in and sharing some of her patterns. I would love to try Ravishing .
Have to admit, never did heel flap and gusset . I think her round toe would fit me , I don't have wedge shaped toes . My foot-print coming from wet to dry ground is always toes, pad, heel....... dry gap under the arch . I am rocking the 12 inch heel diagonal and always , ALWAYS need some sort of gusset going into the heel area if I do any sort of short row heel. (Shadow wrap normally) but if doing toe up.... Fleegle , then if doing toe down, Strong Heel , works with no fuss on my particular foot.
Thank you so much. Colour analysis has really become popular, and is such an interesting topic. There are some great free apps that can help determine your best colours. Nancy is a great designer and has so many great tips for getting the perfect fit on a pair of socks. The Ravishing socks are beautiul!!!
Nancy is so fun !! #knitsiphappy rocks !
We really enjoyed having Nancy as a guest and are looking forward to spending some time with her in Toronto.
So fun to hear from Nancy as well - I've had the pleasure of watching a number of her podcasts! And I really enjoyed the socks conversation - I prefer DK weight socks as my everyday weight (for both wearing and knitting) , so it's nice to see she has a few of those - I love the Sliptastic Sock pattern! Cheers, and thanks to all of you for a great evening of watching and knitting! Judith 💜
I just started a pair of DK socks Judith, I do love how fast they knit up, for me they are a little tight in shoes but perfect for slippers
@@KnitsnPieces ... My DK version is actually fingering with a laceweight held along... I find they are perfect in my Blundstones, but also in some of my other walking shoes, and not bulky feeling at all - I like how substantial they feel, without the expected thickness, and I've also gotten my husband addicted to them as well, lol. Enjoy your knitting! Cheers, Judith
You pair and Nancy - what a treat, really enjoyed this weeks podcast! I have a few of Nancy’s patterns but I think the next ones I would like would be the Blooming Lovely socks - I have just the wool in stash that I think would look great.🌸
Wonderful! I bought the yarn for Blooming Lovely last year at Knit City, I guess I should finally get it on the needles 😂
This podcast was so much fun! Thanks for all the great information. I really like all of Nancy's patterns but I think my favorite is the sliptastic sock pattern.
You are so welcome!
As I watch the replay, I just finished my last radiation treatment for breast cancer found with a screening mammogram. So grateful that it was found early. Love the sock patterns!
Gail that is great to hear! We wish you all the best on your journey, thank goodness for early detection. Take care.
@@KnitsnPieces Thank you❤️
Ravishing Socks is my favorite. Fun podcast ladies!
Love that pattern to Sharon
Thanks for another great podcast & also having Nancy as a special guest. I never miss watching her podcasts. ❤
I have a couple of her sock patterns already, but one that I've always admired would be Ravishing Socks! If only I lived closer & could attend Knit City Toronto & Nancy's sock class! NZ is just too far away! 😊
wish you could attend Knit City too. I hope to get back to New Zealand again, it’s such a beautiful country and amazing people!!
I bought the Hexie socks during this podcast, even though I have the book! I've decided my next 1/2dz socks are going to be from Nancy! They are all so gorgeous! Thanks girls!
That's a great idea! Can’t wait to see all your finished socks!!
#knitsiphappy love the By the Shore socks! Thank you for your time and tips on the chat!
You are so welcome!
Tits up is my favourite of Nancy's sock patterns
It’s such a fun pattern Emma.
Thank you for another wonderful podcast and thank you for bringing awareness to this very important issue. I met Nancy in Montreal last year and she is such a lovely person and so generous in her donations to Breast Cancer Research.I had breast surgery last week and I’m now waiting for the pathology report to determine the next treatment plan. When I ring that bell at the end of the treatments I am planning on wearing a pair of Nancy’s socks💓😊
I hope that all goes well with your treatment Karen, sending positive vibes your way 💕 and you are right this is such animportant issue, this disease touches so many lives. Awareness and research can go a long way to combat this disease.
“Blooming Lovely Socks”
Great discussion on socks. I like the tip to prevent flaring of cuff when doing Jenny’s Surprisingly Bind off on toe-up socks.
That was a great tip, I will have to try it too.
Blooming Lovely socks is my pick…wonderful podcast…enjoyed all the sock knowledge
Socks are such a great project and a great way to constantly learn new patterns and techniques
Hello ladies. Thank you again for a great show - it was great to hear Nancy talk about socks. I have just discovered her patterns and the Wintery Woods Socks have caught my eye. They are all great and will start watching the podcast. Thank you.
Our pleasure! I really enjoyed knitting the Wintery Woods socks.
@knitsiphappy is new to me, thank you for introducing me to Nancy. I can’t wait to try any of her patterns!
You are so welcome!
About to launch myself again into the art of sock knitting. So good to listen to the 3 of you talking about the pros and cons of various methods and how to modify. I think Nancys Hexie Dimond socks and Tittygaga socks are gorgeous. Thank you ladies.
You are so welcome! Thank you for spending time with us. I feel like something is missing in my life if there are no socks on the needles.
All of Nancy’s socks are lovely but I especially like the Blooming Lovely or Smoke Gets In. Of course Tittygaga and Tits Up are awesome and I’ll be buying those so I can help such a great cause. I love the Turkish cast on and the Fish Lips Kiss Heel is not nearly as hard as the amount of pages. Great info for knitting for different sized feet though, gift knitting etc and I thought you would have loved the math element she includes in that Noelle haha.
I'm currently knitting Nancy's Garden Fence socks & thoroughly enjoying the pattern. Easily remembered. Barbara Hawker
Glad you are enjoying the pattern Barbara!!
I love all of Nancy’s patterns but I find I MUST knit the Hexie Diamond socks. Will be purchasing that pattern and maybe more. Wonderful designer.

I also watched the eclipse from a cemetery (in Maine). It was perfect! Fun to see Nancy (I always watch her) in a new setting. :) I think "By the Shore" are my favorite. I'm a sucker for feather-and-fan-type stitch patterns!

love Nancy's Dune grass socks, i test knitted them for her in the 72 stitch size and gifted them to a special friend who wore them yesterday now that the weather's cooling down.
That is a great pattern. I bought the yarn for them in New Brunswick on holiday, now just need to time to get them on the. needles.
Beautiful show...loved the interview with Nancy. My favorites include Tittygaga, njord dk, wintery woods and blooming lovely socks...if chosen as a winner, surprise me with another. 😊
All of Nancy’s patterns are amazing!!!
I love the Bouctouche Boardwalk Socks!
Agreed, such a cute pattern!
My two choices would be Blooming Lovely and the Swiss Dot Shorties. They are all so beautiful though! BTW, my daughter and I are coming to Knit City Toronto next month all the way from Florida! Our very 1st yarn festival, and I’ve been knitting for 50 years! Hope we can run into you guys. We’re such big fans, and never miss an episode! ❤️
