Attending a conference with my Grad Students

Today we had the opportunity to learn about Aris' research on the effects of the ketogenic diet on hepatic cholesterol metabolism. Aris had a poster at the Muscle Health Awareness Day (MHAD); an event that has happened once a year for the last 15 years at York University. Aris did an excellent job presenting her work. She was very knowledgeable about the topic and even had Daniel and David (her lab mates) ask questions about the results. It's great to see how much Aris has done and learned through her research.

Congrats to Aris on a cool presentation at the muscle health event. Looks like a group of unsung health heroes. Now I want to learn more about some of this like, is the cholesterol made by the liver the exact same that comes from the diet? Does the sun/ body produce vitamin D from cholesterol or is that something else? The human body is kind of awesome. Thanks and healthy muscles to all.
